There was some debate on paint color. The machine shop told me they usually paint them black and I did some quick please and thank you to have them paint it beige instead. I think it looks fantastic. Thank you for watching!
I've seen statements that it impact 12v as well as 24v engines. It's physically present in this 12v engine and to be honest I'd prefer not to "risk" having it work it's way out regardless. Thank you for watching, I hope you found it helpful!
Well specs say that particular engine stand is rated at 2,000#, and the Cummins 6BTA weighs about 1,300# without accessories. So while heavy the 12v is within the rated capacity of the stand. We did side-mount the engine to minimize lever arm on the stand, and to provide access to the front and rear. But yes, its a heavy beast and not a good fit for the basic or standard engine stands. Thanks for watching!
When I rebuilt the 12v for my Ramcharger project I used Cummins industrial beige. I thought it look awesome.

I thought its the 24v with the dowel pin issue

That engine "holder" is way overloaded with a Cummins engine!
