  • This is fan video of the movie (Joan of arc) Played by Leelee Sobieski.
The song I used is by Moya brennan. And the name of the song is Change my world..I thought is very fitting for Joan because she did just that..

    - Joan of Arc is a heroine known to the four corners of the world. This young girl fought and she has sacrificed her life for a cause that she believed to be just. She has shown exemplary bravery, an iron will and fidelity to her faith, the King and her land. His admirable fight and his tragic end touch all the hearts and make some tears flow. One can only bow to this figure at the symbol noble and legendary. His story should inspire every human being whatever his skin color or religion, his social level or place of life. Joan of Arc is an icon and a Saint for the eternity. She will be perhaps recognized and considered in the future as a universal heritage. (Google Translation)

Great leaders have the ability to dispell doubt. They have the ability to take you places you could not get to on your own.
They carry about them an unwavering belief that the cause is greater than themselves, and worthy to be fought for.
In the case of Joan there was a legend that a maid would lead the nation to freedom. Joan passed all of the test. She brought about victory, where other leaders had found nothing but humiliation and defeat. This is why Joan is charismatic.

This was actually a made for tv movie/mini series and in my opinion was more historically accurate than "The Messenger" movie. Leelee Sobieski did an excellent job of playing Joan and I loved Peter O'Tooles performance too. It was directed by Christian Duguay and is available on DVD... but be warned its almost 4 hours long. But well worth it.

joan is a saint. a warrior and a woman of G_D. when G_D wants something done He uses the vessel most availible to Him. Joan had ears to hear. May she be blest. sometimes its those who are thought crazy who are the most sane. remember Martin luther King, Ghandi, Bobby and John. what they died for and Who they believed is not a joke. Freedom is real and some believe their lives are a worthy sacrifice to preserve or bring 'IT',(Freedom) about.

There is no scientic formula, algorithim, or equation for faith; It, like love, can be quantified, great or small but not numerically. Faith dwells in a realm like, hope, and belief and genius.

French people are a mix of Gauls, ramans and Franks. Gauls originally had normandy, the it became part of roman territory, then frank.
Normans accepted to be french by setling in Normandy.
If what you say is true then I guess the people of Normandy must have revolted and conquered France ...oh wait... well they didn't but they conquered their independance right? oh wait... at least they fought for it... woops they didn't, my bad. Oh noes, Normans strikes back! We are so scared!

Jeanne did NOT blaspheme because she did what God had instructed her to do. She had a mission to do and she did it! Part of the wearing of a man's clothing was for her protection and she was instructed to do so by her saints who were instructed of God! In ordinary circumstances it may have been blasphemous, but God can make allowances. She did what she was told by God. She was a very brave and courageous young woman!

for My hole Life, i wanted to be a girl who can defend herself but then i thougt that it would be riddiculous because my family said to act myself as a girl and not other things. But when I heard a story of a women who saved France by fighting in the war, and who prayed many times to god, I realize that I wanted to do the same. Not by fighiting with Weapons but fighting my own ego. I pray to god so i could like her.

You couldn't be actively schizophrenic and pull off groundbreaking, original battle strategies such as the ones she executed. You wouldn't have that level of persuasiveness over everyone, or organisation of thought in your own mind - not less to a whole court experienced in the manifestation of mental delusion (Charles's father was pathologically deluded before his death). It takes engagement with reality to manipulate the real world such as one does in battle and politics, both of which she had to engage in.

But true that Joan make born France... And England too. I am french but i think Joan can be seen as a french and an english heroin. The 2 nations was born in the same time.

      Your comment is incorrect.
The first real French King = Philip Augustus or Phillip II , 1190 -1223 .
      HIs predecessors were Franks Kings.
First English King of all England = AEthelstan, 895 - 939,
son of Edward the Elder .
He was the great's grandson of Alfred the Great.
Both France and England were in existence long before

Well if atheism were true then all fair and good; just pollution, natural disasters, disease, famine, drought, storms and consumerism left to tackle. And assuming theism is true, then if nobody fought in a war again in any capacity then nobody would be 'in' Christ, and thus saved, because at the end of time Christ goes head to head with Satan in battle in heaven.

No, this is how the Enemy knocks people out of their bodies while time still exists. It doesn't make any sense in the context of God unless you believe that the Enemy has been dealt a fatal blow already (on the cross) and that Christ is coming back at the end of time to finish the job once and for all, and set to right all of the Enemy's damage done during time.
