This woman and her amazing God-gifted voice are the reason why I fell in love with Irish music almost twenty years ago , and why I am still in love with it now.
When I am young and have no need of God this I would say, But when I am old and cannot see, or when I am so lonely, That is when God's light will shine upon me all because of what Jesus did on Calvary.
Moya B. gives us Heaven's wondrous light and love so generously. Jesus flows like a river thru her to us. Or He is the wind of the Spirit and she is the lovely wooden flute. Thank you for this uplifting video!
I love this song so much! Thank you for posting! But I really miss a part of the video that was cut. There used to be an incredibly beautiful part of the video at the very end when there was a glimpse of the (video rendition of the) Risen Jesus very subtly and beautifully with Moya, on the beach, where she dances in the Spirit of Easter. I hope that part can be restored.
This great song is screaming to be mashed up with How Deep the Father's Love for Us! That would be amazing!! (Kinda like Amazing Grace and My Chains Are Gone.)
By the way, mrAZcardinal, if by "British", you mean is Moya a person who gives her all to be her best at what she does (which, of course, is fine music), then I guess she's extremely British (which, in the music industry, places her amongst a rather large group, as whatever their other plusses and minuses, their are a lot of fine Brits in the music industry ).
Enya has 'acknowledged' god in the song 'Athair ar Neamh' which translates as Father in Heaven, and the lines that stand out to me are 'moraim tu, o lá go lá, moraim tu o oíche go h'oíche', I praise You day by day, I praise you night by night'
@Sportymike Don't be ridiculous. Moya is a reknown philanthropist and as a British person I have met her a few times and know her to be a most loving human being. Don't spoil a beautiful thing with your own political agenda.

I haven't heard this song in ages. Though I wouldn't call myself Christian I think this song is beautiful in both words and tune.
Your voice is a cure for the soul. We love you in Hungary!
I discovered this before Christmas. I wish the video quality was higher. It's so beautiful and so Moya.

Moya looks like her little sister Enya with this short hair style. I used to think she never looked like her till now :) Amazing ViD ..!
Nessuna Scena di Maestosita' Maestoso !!! Bellissima thank you Moya Brennan.
What are you talking about? Enya and Moya were brought up in a strict Catholic household and were members of their mother's choir and still are...
¡Mereces mucho más!
...but convincingly those of heavenly majesty...captivating-V!!
Moya considers herself born again after some turbulent years, when she decided to give her life to Christ.
This is a great track of Moya, but I never saw this track on any of her records as well as her few New Irish Hymns tracks are also quite rare.

@Sportymike . To appreciate ones roots doesn't mean to be anti-everything else!!
They are sisters.
Did Moya Brennan actually write this song, both lyrics and music? It's an amazing song!!
