Oxidation , in a oxygen free environment ? Just normal mechanical / chemical deterioration . Sure glad to know not to pull any plug that even closely resembles that one , until I know whats inside !
It kinda new young learning guy been working for about one year. He lacks knowledge not an idiot.. He has no formal Automotive schooling, but he did go to be an engineer He’s not working under a apprenticeship program, guided by a seasoned formally educated, experienced mentor . The typical way of young guy comes in with no experience, and he gets thrown out into the shop, kind of working under other guys who never had formal education other than learning by breaking things, and calling that learning
Tom, if factory install is not as clean as u shown, wont it be good if we replace the dessicant filter bag 1st year of ownership, for a brand new car ? This bmw is so easy to replace its dessicant bag, if my MB w212 is that easy, and if it does not cost usd200, i would replace it every 3 years after 1st time at first year. This way i get to kind of new oil balancing approx 20cc too.. .awesome. I got the recovery machine and all the required hardware. This way my hvac get super dry n clean too, at the same time track the annual r134a loss
Exactly. I do my own personal vehicle every two years. I don’t change the desiccant Except when I got into an accident earlier this year and change condenser But I left it on the vacuum pump overnight I put a video up about that
When replacing just a drier, does it matter where i add the pag oil? Car service manual says there should be 2oz in the drier. Can i just add it directly to the drier
A big plastic plug? I can see how he could be confused. That's crazy.
