Hi Karen. I just found this MarkupR-XP review. Thank you. I am in the process of trying to decide which t0 buy, MRXP or Pattern Keeper. May I ask which you finally decided on and why? I think I am leaning toward MRXP because patterns that were not supported by PK would sometimes load but with no symbols, colors, or search feature. Those same patterns (with a little tweaking) were loadable in MRXP with full search and markup features. And the stats are pretty nice too. Just looking for other opinions before I make a purchase.
Hi Ellen. To be honest s use both. That being said I do use mark-up the most. Since they added to option of sho.wing the whole chart it is . becoming my go to.it does have a bit of a learning curve but then what doesn't I think it is easier to add paper charts yes. You also need to add Dmc Numbers At times but small price to pay serve it has so many other features. I do fina I am using pk less and less. Hope this help. S
I have an Epson printer I downloaded Epson print app that lets me scan my chart and save as a pdf directly to my iPad and the all I have to do is upload when I open the app up.
Hi Karen, I got the Mark Up programme after your last video and I’m blown away. It’s wonderful….lots of video help to get started, a free trial and very low cost for a subscription. Thank you for letting us iPad users know about it. Love your videos!
My pleasure. So glad you enjoyed. I agree you can’t beat the free trial and low subscription cost. I am becoming more and more convinced to use markup and not Pattern Keeper. Much rather use my ipad. Not a big fan of androids.
@Inherited Stitches . I could not agree more. Markup Runs much smoother on the ipad. PK on my Samsung was ok but i really am liking markup much better. Besides i have an ipad pro so it is a much bigger screen😍😍
I’m so happy to see your name and hear your voice when I searched how to input a file in this Markup! I’ve been trying for over an hour to get a Dimensions chart PDF to line up correctly. Argghhhh!!! I know it can be done. Crossing my fingers my buddy Karen can help me out. 😊 (This is Kevin by the way - lol)
I can upload an image, but it won't recognize the symbols. This is so frustrating. I think I'll stick with Pattern Keeper. It's intuitive. This is not.
I am not exactly sure how you would do that . Maybe you could ask in the markup r-xp Facebook group. Wish I could be of more help. I assume it can be done. I just don’t know how. So sorry
From your pc save it to a cloud service like drop box or google drive for example. Then on your ipad go to that drive and download it Actually from Markup you can get it from dropbox or google drive and import
Thank you for this follow-up. It explained a lot of things in detail which was really helpful.

How do you add a paper chart that is more then one page like a HAED?

How do you move a scanned project from your PC to your IPad for uploading to Mark Up?
