- Mazda has just revealed its new 2021 Mazda BT-50 dual-cab ute and we were allowed to have a look before the sheet was officially lifted off. The first impression is that it looks nicer outside and a lot nicer inside. It's comfortable and ergonomic, and the new tech is a big step forward. We are only seeing the high spec interior here. While it's posh, it doesn't look as practical and durable for the rough stuff. I dislike leather anyway, and what about a more sustainable and Vegan interior option? That is cheaper to replace should it get scratched, flood damage, etc.
While everyone might prefer this interior compared to the outgoing model, we also need to realise that the interior in Mazda's other models will still be more appealing and better reviewed - think Mazda3 (and CX-30), and future models that should follow that design or even improve upon it, like the Mazda6 & CX-5, CX-50?
For this new-gen BT-50, for one of the high specs, they should offer a variant with more comfortable "rear multi-link" suspension, in 2x4 and 4x4.
