Tyler, I really enjoy your videos. Regarding your remark around 5:54 about timecode being off a frame one way or the other: because the timecode isn't triggering each frame capture, it can be up to half a frame's duration (e.g. 1/48th of a second if shooting 24fps) earlier or later than the frame itself. Sometimes that offset is more, sometimes less, depending on the difference between when you start the camera and the timecode generator. That might explain the discrepancy you note. I believe Genlock, on the other hand, actually triggers each frame's capture, which eliminates that potential half-frame offset.

Shoot, had hit that like button... I feel called out 😆
😂
Splendid sir
🤜🤛
I'm sold on that USB cable alone.
Also - YMD is the ONLY way to do the date correctly.
Big facts
What if you want to add a microphone to the camera along with the timecode generator?
You can use a splitter 👍
Can the deity TC 1 be used with the Zoom H1 Handy Recorder for Timecode on the Bmpcc 6k
If the H1 can accept timecode in, then it should be compatible with the h1.
That intro hits hard, literally just spend 30 mins trying to line up a podcast video to audio by lip reading…
Dang that sounds super fun!
What if shooting 60Fps or above? Thanks ahead.
Deity posted a great tutorial on this: ua-cam.com/video/IiwcMukmdfI/v-deo.html
How moronic that they don't include 3x for each cable.
