Please make this a series! Love to learn how others organize and hack their systems together like this. 👏🏽
Awesome timeless Video... Im now working on eliminating the backpack. ie all essentials (including the blimp deadcat) are either in my audiobag OR on me.
@10:45 Oh my God! I do mostly locations, but Tums! It's the most important part of my bag. Tums.
Storacells for the win! I love those things. Converting to rechargeable AA’s and storacells was a major upgrade for me a few years ago.
It's a beautiful lesson.
Thank you
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Who produced this video? Looks amazing, someone gonna get a raise!
Storacells are the best battery solution for rechargeables and I’ve tried em all!
Very helpful! Storacells are in the cart along with an extra pack of rechargables!
These Sound 101s are the BEST.
I was waiting for this video format to come back! thanks guys!
This was so so good! Tons of useful information. Thank you 🙏
Great video topic and love the new set.
Great breakdown!
Love these....please make more!
we're on it! :)
This is a very useful video, thanks for this
Nice, informative and insightful! Thanks!
wonder if cable cuff could hold a gimbal
Great information all the time.
I have several of toys that are very useful in my sound bag kit on my Spanish sound recording shoots on location in NYC.
nice channel very helpful
Awesome
Great video! Thanks for the ideas. Also what harness is that? Would love to see a video on that and how it helps in the field.
Do we really have to worry about the pressure point for such a lightweight boom pole + mic? 🤔
Mailbag question! I'm just finishing film school and while I've taken a class in sound production and have done some basic sound recording for short films, what would be the next steps in learning more? In other words, how have you learned what you know? Was it all on the job? Did you take additional classes? Thanks!
Get an audio position.
Hey can't miss the Puerto Rico flag. Boricua!
Boricua en la casa!!!
Thanks Andrew and Ben! Very helpful. Do you have links to the small tackle boxes Ben uses?

@@DeityMicrophones - Thank you!
More day bag break down interviews.
What's the funky track in the intro? :)
What boom pole is that? Super short folded up :)
Any update on the Uni-mic?
Bought a cable cuff just now, i never get walkies
-Wear comfortable shoes.
Wait, the box is special because it has a latch which makes it fold in half? What kind of BS is that? Oh wait, my door is special because it has a hinge and thanks to it it’s just half the size when it’s closed. What kind of content is it? Are we really already at the point where anyone thinks they can publish information about how to use AA batteries? This is so depressing. Why are you posting garbage??????!!!!!
These are tools used by professionals. It's important to make videos that speak to the real way people do their job. Sorry everything isn't as special and mysterious as you thought it would be.
@@DeityMicrophones Ok, waiting for another video, this time with instructions how to plug a USB cable.
I use rechargeable batteries all the time and whenever I switch them out for new ones at mid-day I do the trick of putting them back in the battery caddy peg side up. One thing I've been wondering though: is this dangerous since the battery isn't 100% depleted? Metal contact with the caddies isn't much of an issue with the particular carrying bag I use for my batteries, so the peg-side-up trick is really more of a code for me to not use that battery for the rest of the day but would I be playing with fire otherwise? Should the battery be fully run-out before I do this?
