Wow! So awesome to see this! This was at the height of Rosolino’s expertise on the trombone. Conte also at his height on trumpet. My favorite album of all time is Conversations with Rosolino and Candoli. This must have been on the same Italy trip where they recorded the album.
Hello Mirko, You probably know the documentary about Tony Scott directed by Franco Maresco, on which, the first sequence is made up of extracts from Jazz Tarantella. His title is: Io sono Tony Scott. It's on UA-cam. The director certainly had access to the full concert. Perhaps he could give us some guidance ?
@@jazzloup6565 He had access to the full concert because the producer of the film was RAI Cinema, so he likely had full access to the RAI archives. You could ask them, maybe they can give you access to the footage
@@ZoydWheeler I could recognize Giorgio Azzolini on bass and Antonello Vannucchi on piano. Also, the guy sitting in front of the drums holding the electric bass is Giorgio Rosciglione.
Bruce Kuehn, I'm part Italian, " a couple Italian guys arguing on the street, lol! Will you share a pizza with me? I'm just carrying on about the pizza. Check out "Diggin' For Diz", the Dexter Gordon band with Conte and Frank, possibly my favorite bop recording of all time.
Great to see Tony Scott!
Absolutely tremendous jazz from the word go all top shelf musicians thank you
Darn That Dream
Sweet & Lovely
Sophisticated Lady

meraviglioso video! Conte Candoli era il fratello di Pete...Candoli entrambi molto amici di Al Porcino mio M° di arrangement a Monaco in Germania!
Excelente. Muchas Gracias.
Bellissimo video. Grazie!
conte so beautiful and frank so effortless!
Never seen this before. Very nice footage. Conte sounds lovely here.
E questo faceva la Rai cinquant'anni fa, mentre trent'anni dopo faceva ridicolizzare lo stesso Tony Scott da un Bonolis...
Darn That Dream, then Sweet and Lovely. I don't recognize the bari player doing "Sophisticated Lady." The scatting on Rhythm changes was a hoot.
That's the great Tony Scott
Classe...
al basso il mio vecchio amico Giorgio Azzolini
Thousand of thanks, Lucio for this treasure. Perhaps, soon, the entire concert ? With, espacially Jazz Tarantella ?
Unfortunately this is the only one J have.

Who are all the players?

What in the world happens at 12:00? Sounds like a couple of Italian guys arguing on the street. And Frank even yodels!
Ha ha!

Frank Rosolino - Amazing talent ! What a tragic ending 😢
14:48 Frank Rosolino wins the discussion hands down. When you can scat-yodel you have just entered a different level. LOL!

Who’s the bassist? Thanks
The top italian bassist Giorgio Azzolini 😍
