You can REALLY see and hear the tension in this man's playing. His shoulder's, the acceleration of all of his movement and all not-cracking. Sounds sick but I kinda wished he wasn't so tense.
holy crap he speaks japanese pretty well. And his clarinet playing is insane. I have never heard more active playing. Even pete fountain is not this aggressive.
I wonder if he’s moving that way to intentionally create a chorusing effect? Either way, it does create a chorus effect. Sam Newsome intentionally creates a chorus effect with soprano saxophone by moving the instrument in different directions.

Two totally different clarinetist. But, I hear ya. Love both, but Tony -- and great Alvin Bastiste-- were ahead of their time.
