Sos eterno Gato
Bob mintzer on tenor sax?
👏👏
Pure improv in the freeform jazz idiom is sometimes brilliant, oft times pure shit, occasional crap, and always interesting. Few besides Miles could pull it off. I've tried to play it, usually failing miserably. Miles could always get some great listeners who could play their asses off. Bet this was a fun band for the players. The audience? Probably not so much...
i listen to this and i'm at home !
I super regret never seeing Miles live
Saw Miles shows in London- Two nights in a row- the shows were different, much loose , great improvising from all musicians. Stern ripped the door off in a Hendrix meets McLaughlin style- Evans more reserved but technical. Miles was quite restrained, bit fragile looking but SO exiting to watch. Priceless memories.
I love Al Foster with Miles
Lots of notes.
What a bunch of egomanic coke heads.
What a great post! I saw this same band at the Sunrise Musical Theater in Ft. Lauderdale in '81. Thank you for posting!
Fantastic.
Very dope vibe.
The Bill Evans.... fusion, ha
I was born in 1997. Too late for good music.
Never too late if it's been recorded.
You think in the hundreds of years of incredible music in modern history, all of a sudden it just stopped in 1997? You are sadly mistaken
Don't look back. Just look back.
Mike Stern is playing what evereybody Imagine When They hear the Word JazZ. Simply put. Unrelated to anything read in a Dictionary or textbook.
Maybe. the best fusionMiles Ever created . A lot morethan Mahavishnu .
thats how you land a spaceship. smooth.
cool to hear Bill Evans play flute. I don't think I've ever heard him play flute. He sounds great on it. What a treat! What a treasure to find this video today❤
Grace and style all said❤❤❤perfecto 🎹🎹🎹🥁🥁🥁🎤🎤🎷🎷🎻🎻
"We Want Miles", for me one of the best albums ever
I was a jazz/rock/celtic dj two lifetimes ago. President of an alternative radio station. Love music. Live Kix as I knew it when it came out is up there with Silent Way and Kind of Blue in Jazz Heaven. But that isn't Mike Stern!
You gotta love Mickey Stern's jazz-rock bebopish lines! Big inspiration to me back then.
Me too. I saw him at a small bar / club in bay ridge Brooklyn in the early mid 80’s. Heaven
Great to see Tony Scott!
Slammin'
What the hell is this trash
10:19 Miles is like, that’s enough of that fast shit!
And, no matter how great it is or how blown away I get, it was another night on the road... Truly, a testament to his talent.
Buddy telling the clueless cameraman to get his lens where the action is, lol. So frustrating sometimes when a soloist is tearing it up and the camera is on somebody else comping, resting, or wandering in the audience.
Wowwww
Ça fait 46 ans…. Déjà 😎🎶👍
Lots of later "name" musicians in the band 🤘🤘
stupendi...
We Want Miles .
All incarnations of the master transcend

My favorite album by MD is "We Want Miles". And "On the Corner". And "In A Silent Way".

rivedo questo spettacolo dopo 32 anni. Lo registrai in VHS
Ricordo molto bene questo concerto. Musica eccezionale, con un Corea di una finezza e creatività incredibile. Grazie per averlo trovato e pubblicato!
Mike Stern ... knocking out those lines like a machine ....
Un genio al piano e, un grande fratello alla chitarra
Thank you for the inspiration!
