They're cramped inside, uncomfortable, noisy, notoriously unreliable,ridiculously hard to reverse park (check out videos of how to reverse one they are hilarious 😂) and expensive to repair. Probably the same as a lot of other super cars from that era and even today's super cars like the McLarens which have a very bad name for their durability and build quality and not to mention expensive parts. Even old Mercedes from the 80s and 90s, their parts notoriously expensive even today. My good friend repairs exotic cars and when you ask him which ones are the beat to drive and what one he would own, and he says none of them. He owns an import Japanese car 😂.
The black one from cannonball run is a totally different car than that white hunk of trash, it's a custom-built factory car, this white piece of trash is just a typical countach that rolls off the line.
I bought the one from a store called Spencer's. It was Black velvety material. The car had neon colors and I had a black light on the poster. I think we all had a countach poster😂. Also had pennants of all 14 AFC and all 14 NFC teams in a pie circle. Last but not least I had Heather Locklear and Daisy Duke posters
Look up Bertone. They're the ones who designed this car, and lots of their cars (especially concepts) from the 70s and 80s looked like they came from space lol

I loved the big vanity mirror in my 245 Volvo. But the best thing for that purpose is the glove box lid in old Mercedes cars up to about 1976. It is straight, aluminum and has a black anodized mirror finish.

I drove one of these back in 1995, I didn't own it but we did rent them out (along with other semi exotics, exotics). I was great with a clutch and manuals in general, but that gated shift is something else. I messed badly trying to go N to 1st and the car chirped like it was on bouncy springs lol. Took me about half an hour to just drive around a parking lot. Eventually, I got to drive it on the highway once. For the clutch, it literally is a VERY stiff clutch. As you let it out, it will bite HARD (when its still new, over time not so much) and you have to be ready! That car is still one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen to this day!
gotta admit the countach looks fresh white, and the interior is lookin cleaaan too broh very nice. keeping it in that kind of condition aswell is a feat in of its own
Fun fact. Not a single countach came out of the factory with a wing because of the regulations and the rear visibility, like mentioned in the video. After leaving the factory a team of lamborghini mechanics were waiting on a parking lot near the factory to install the wing. Some were then removed again or just installed for the first time in dealerships all over the globe, which means there is no way of telling what car had the wing installed by a dealer of by the mechanics of lamborghini. It was a free-for-all basically.

The Countach was originally designed in the early 70s WITH pop up headlights. Scoops, wings, and other garish things are from the 80s. The original car was slick and quite pretty compared to the newer variations.
