"you never really own a car, you're kinda, it's a stewardship that you kinda take care of as you pass to the next generation or the next owner" well said. True car dude right here.
I'm at a loss for words for just how much I love Petrolicious. Thank you for bringing tears of joy to my eyes, these cars just make me so emotional. Thank you guys!
Got the priveledge of driving one.. It was Tripple White... White wheels, white enterior and of course white body... Still remember the Alpine deck.. it was a 5000S.. great sound from the V12.
What a flawless example of this insane machine. This is the exact car that adorned every '80's kid's bedroom wall...white, with all the wings and scoops, with a scantily clad blonde of course, strutting between it and some palm trees.
The combination of honesty and passion in this video is almost unreal, the list of flaws with the vehicle are all pointed out yet somehow make the car seem that much more appealing. The videography and soundtrack to this video are stunningly brilliant, I love how every angle creates an image of a distant time, when things were maybe less practical, but less regulated and kind of better in a way This video is beautiful.
Great video , this car is so outrageous, this and the Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird most outrageous looking car of all time. As a kid in 80s this car was pin up and still is
I own a 10 second 87 Grand national but this car is my ultimate dream car and I also had tons of pictures of these when I was a kid. I used to blast music with my head phones on and just stare at those posters wishing that I would own one someday. Nothing in the world comes close to a Countach. I would take one of these over any car built even today.
i felt in love with it when i was a boy,and after 20 years i still do,am so happy that todays cars will never be as this one,if u park this near some modern GTR,Ferrari or even Lambo, everyone will be standing by this one....:)) just wonderfull
Blew all my summer job money as a kid seeking out and plastering every wall in my room w/ Countach posters. Also love the '87 Buicks - got to have some fun w/ one on the highway last summer, first I'd seen in years. That turbo's a killer! My lil ss is all motor, but she's game enough and we had a blast. The man w/ the Buick was class all the way, great guy. Keep 'er in the 10s!
Best video on UA-cam about the Countach. Down to Earth info regardless of the dreams we ALL had when kids. Just about sexiness and looks. Who didn't grow up as a teenager dreaming about it? Thanks for the video!!!
I have watched this Petrolicious at least 12 times, and every time it brings a smile to my face, to think one day I'm going to own one of these almost brings a tear to my face.
Good point on how they were able to be outrageous. Cars today not only have laws restricting their designs but also the market drive to be less polarizing.
James, your words are spot on perfect, so honest and wise. words some to my mind: "Everything can be forgiven when something is so beautiful". The Countach is music for the eyes and ears, the most influential senses.
This is my favorite car of all time by far. The Countach was everything a super car should be, it was uncompromising, it was loud, it looked outrageous, and it was extremely fast. I've seen a Countach three times in my life and each time it was so profound that the feeling and the experience is something that I've never forgotten even years later.
The Countach was one of my all time favourite cars when I was a kid... I had a poster of a white one on my bedroom wall for about 10 years. Then one day on a misty evening I saw one in a car park, also in white no less. It was like my poster had come to life! That's a moment I'll never forget. I still hope one day they will build more cars that are just as mad and beautiful.
Again another FANTASTIC Vid Petrolicious! You guys never fail to capture the true essence of automotive filming and reliving your dreams in cars. Thank you.
Perfect commentary on a legendary vehicle...the appreciation is obvious and that is great to hear....give rides to as many people as you can.....wer need to preserve cars like this for the next generations..thank you for a wonderful video on my childhood dream car!
Seriously, all of these videos that I have watched by this channel are so Elegantly filmed! I love them all! Who knows, maybe one day car could be filmed by them. Keep up the great work! Ill be watching many more of these videos!
❤ Man time is flying I barley watch your new content but when I remember a lot of your channel growing amazing to look back some cool interviews with amazing cars
Hey James great collection. I purchased a set of your wheels back in 97-98 after seeing your ad in the back of a magazine and you actually answered the phone, took my order, and explained that you were the owner and just starting out. Congrats on your success!!!
thanks for posting this,i am 6'1 205 i had to use a small pillow on my right hip because of the seat, but the way it made my brain and eyes vibrate when i slammed that accelerator to the floor was truly awesome and like my own private heaven
Like you, I also waited and when the chance did arrive it was an 89 anniversary without a wing. Guy converted to European bummpers and such, so it looked amazing and still does. Really wasn't what I expected, car is hard to drive and it looks like an aerodynamic masterpiece but it isn't. He said the wing made it much harder at higher speeds to control and took it off for that reason. While its scary to drive and such, wish I would of bought one when they tanked in value a few years back and kept it.
As an Lambo owner, this car is still my dream car. I was lucky enough to be a passenger of Countach when I was picking up my 991.5 GT3 RS and it truly was a dream come true. Thank you for uploading and it was beautifully done as usual.
"Countach", is not an italian word it's a a Piedmontese word really hard to translate literally but it's mean approximately "Wow!!!" or "Amazing!!!", this word is particularly used when you see a pretty girl ;-). This word was used by a Bertone employee (Bertone is based in Turin, Piedmont) when he saw the prototype for the first time, and it became the name of the car. P.S. The pronunciation is not Cowntash it's kuŋˈtaʧ (phonetic alphabet).
***** Very interesting. I wonder what would happen if an italian man said the word to an U.S. woman, I doubt he would go further than "CUUUNT...." before getting a good slap in the face..."Ehhh wassamara you I was going to call you Countach!"lol
Thanks for the explanation. I think I’ll keep calling them ‘Count-ache’, after the pain you must feel at the mechanics when you’re counting out all the cash you’d need to keep it on the road 😁
Sure, the design of the Aventador is outrageous, but the Countach is just out of this world. An insane looking car that will never be replicated.
I seen it in person and heard the exhaust it just never leaves your mind.
Absolutely. Especially more stunning without fenders and spoilers mate.
EXACTLY !
Roads Untraveled the new hureceloen or however you spell it Lamborghini is making looks just as outrageous
Roads Untraveled I feel the Delorean is more interesting...
"you never really own a car, you're kinda, it's a stewardship that you kinda take care of as you pass to the next generation or the next owner" well said. True car dude right here.
Just the keeper of the key
pretty sure this is the saying for a Rolex or Patek.. cant recall which one..
That t-shirt is pretty outrageous too!
lol
roasted
I want to laugh but the dude owns a countach. I've already lost
lol
Andrew B. 😂
If cocaine was a car
The wolf of Wall Street
The windows were made to only fit a kilo of coke through (joke most likely)
This.
God knows some real cocaine would be preferable to a Lambo.....
I might have to give the Most Coked up 80’s Supercar award to the Vector W8
"the AC doesn't work that well"
top gear: "the air-condition in an old lamborghini was like being coughted on...by a mouse"
If you were a kid in the 80's, you probably had a poster of one of these on your wall. I still think they're very cool today. Great video!
Yep I did and still got the picture
I still do.
This is still my dream car! A true 70's and 80's child.
I'm at a loss for words for just how much I love Petrolicious. Thank you for bringing tears of joy to my eyes, these cars just make me so emotional. Thank you guys!

You're Californian right? In Denmark we all wanted the black one.
This model. This year. This color. Perfection.
Even the chicken is impressed.
yup you know your doing well when the chicken is impressed.
I never thought I would be jealous of a chicken until now.
I thought the chicken was going to put a deposit on the car.
Well it is a coupe. Sorry
@@davidtaylor857 no no, that was a nice pun

This video is beautiful.
Damn, that chicken can look into the car through the side window!!!
Either that's one big chicken or that's one low car...
Both.
Was a dream car during my childhood.. Posters and pictures filled the wall.
most beautiful Countach I've ever seen!
Great video , this car is so outrageous, this and the Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird most outrageous looking car of all time.
As a kid in 80s this car was pin up and still is
most beautiful car ever, also had about 3 different posters of it on my wall as a kid
Beautiful paint on the Countach, well maintained
Absolutely uncompromising, incredible presence. And those wheels! Oh Lawdy Lawd!
Looks good in white too.
Watching him shift and hearing that engine growl (even on phone speakers) puts a smile on my face. I had the same posters on my wall.
Just an awesome car... decades after its release. It really is a space ship!
Isn't this the same dude that has the Ferrari Lusso? Great taste in cars brother. Naturally as a kid the Countach was the dream car.
Beautiful Euro spec QV - my ideal Countach - and white on white! Perfect car.
I own a 10 second 87 Grand national but this car is my ultimate dream car and I also had tons of pictures of these when I was a kid. Even that chicken over there (3:57) likes the Countach!
'' Cou cou cou cou cou COU-NTACH....! ''
Hahaha!
After I read your comment, I was somehow expecting him to say that. I am somewhat dissapoint :/
i felt in love with it when i was a boy,and after 20 years i still do,am so happy that todays cars will never be as this one,if u park this near some modern GTR,Ferrari or even Lambo, everyone will be standing by this one....:)) just wonderfull

it's the most cool old skool supercar, beautiful in every way...
Best video on UA-cam about the Countach. Down to Earth info regardless of the dreams we ALL had when kids. Just about sexiness and looks. Who didn't grow up as a teenager dreaming about it?
Thanks for the video!!!
4:01 that rooster a admirer too!
Yes, one of the icons of all icons. Makes me think of a fighter plane. Who cares about ergonomics? It's a masterpiece. Always will be.
I have watched this Petrolicious at least 12 times, and every time it brings a smile to my face, to think one day I'm going to own one of these almost brings a tear to my face.

The Countach is a top 5 best looking car of all time. Now and always.
Beautiful Countach!
Countach is my most attractive car in my childhood.
Petrolicious has SUCH good car / owner vids!
ALWAYS a good story with great camerawork and sounds!
James, your words are spot on perfect, so honest and wise. words some to my mind: "Everything can be forgiven when something is so beautiful". The Countach is music for the eyes and ears, the most influential senses.
4:01 That chicken at home that night: “I’ve seen things you little chickens wouldn’t believe...”
Hope he doesn't get too cocky
My all-time favorite Lamborghini.
This is my favorite car of all time by far. The Countach was everything a super car should be, it was uncompromising, it was loud, it looked outrageous, and it was extremely fast. Come back and watch this every now and then. Still my favorite car of all time.
Again another FANTASTIC Vid Petrolicious! You guys never fail to capture the true essence of automotive filming and reliving your dreams in cars.
Thank you.
Benchmark of design in automobile industry!!! Awesome!!
This and the Miura were the pinnacle of Lambo, they have never matched these looks. Magnificent.
I would love to have this car! Got to see one when I was a kid, loved it ever since. I'm still a porsche guy though
Cinematography was simply astounding. Really fitting for this iconic car.
*This car defined an entire era.*
Perfect commentary on a legendary vehicle...the appreciation is obvious and that is great to hear....give rides to as many people as you can.....wer need to preserve cars like this for the next generations..thank you for a wonderful video on my childhood dream car!
My favorite lambo of all time. I remember as a kid watching the movie cannonball run and wanting this car sooo bad.
Seriously, all of these videos that I have watched by this channel are so Elegantly filmed! I love them all! Who knows, maybe one day car could be filmed by them. Keep up the great work! Ill be watching many more of these videos!
Recently I had the pleasure to explore this channel. Absolutely brilliant.
The Bedroom Wall Car that defined the 70s/80s and a generation.
Great narration!
❤ Man time is flying I barley watch your new content but when I remember a lot of your channel growing amazing to look back some cool interviews with amazing cars
4:02 - Even the chicken couldn't help but stare at it.
I love the way this guy speaks. I wish I could express myself like that
absolutely LOVE the editing especially the ending
I love how awesome the camera quality is.
that was just.. beautiful absolutely beautiful
This is one of the best automotive channels I have ever come across on UA-cam. Amazing work!
Gorgeous car. Truly a work of art.
This looks awesome
The best lambo ever produced.
That guy does NOT need to be purchasing his shirts from the baby gap.
Richard Burns true
or at least not make a video right after scarfing down a big lunch...and in a warmer garage (just a tittle)
Hey James great collection. I purchased a set of your wheels back in 97-98 after seeing your ad in the back of a magazine and you actually answered the phone, took my order, and explained that you were the owner and just starting out. Congrats on your success!!!
Great car great video . Wish I lived near you I'd be asking for a ride all the time . I have never seen one in person.
thanks for posting this,i am 6'1 205 i had to use a small pillow on my right hip because of the seat, but the way it made my brain and eyes vibrate when i slammed that accelerator to the floor was truly awesome and like my own private heaven
I waited my whole young life to get a chance to drive the Countach and when the day finally came to my disappointment I was too tall to drive it....
manlets win again
Like you, I also waited and when the chance did arrive it was an 89 anniversary without a wing. Guy converted to European bummpers and such, so it looked amazing and still does. +Robert Mazzeo jay leno took the wing off his because he just didnt like the looks of it
Just found this channel and it is hands down the best short segmented and produced show around.
It looks like a stealth car. Just amazing!
It's nice to see a Countach driving on normal neighborhood streets for once! Usually these cars are filmed only in exotic locations.
simply beautiful
No better way to start one more day...
Again, this are the most beautiful videos on the Internet!
This is what a car should be: heart, instead of brain.
A piece of art!!!!!
And again some lovely shot. Love the footages!
The car has held up way better than Farrah Fawcett.
Love the ‘58ish Cadillac in the background bout 2:50!! Good stuff man👍🔥👍
Wolf of wall street scene with Leonardo crawling to the car high....hilarious
As an Lambo owner, this car is still my dream car. I was lucky enough to be a passenger of Countach when I was picking up my 991.5 GT3 RS and it truly was a dream come true. Thank you for uploading and it was beautifully done as usual.
lance vance dance
Jop3lius Remember that.
The Infernus
A timeless classic
BEAUTIFUL car- even better CC and editing making the car stand out even more. So luck for you to own one!
That comment about stewardship was spot on.
I agree, it was one of the absolute best car quotes of all time.
This car is incredible, and the interior is so retro and simple.
This was truly beautiful.

Last time I checked you had around 250 Subscribers. Now you have over 18.000, but you deserve it, great video's
Dream machine. love the music
Man I just discovered this channel... and it's AWESOME... this is truly for the real petrolheads...
Thank you Petrolicious,
Another really beautiful and interesting short movie.
You're inspiring us to make our own videos around the hills here.
Even beings from another world come down to earth and pay a visit to admire this treasure.
the Countach has still its "WOW Effect" after all those years, sexiest car ever made =)
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I like your comments about passing the car along and stewardship. Thanks again.
The car that made me fall in love with cars
You never really own a car you just take care of it for the next gen. thats a great way of looking at it really love it!
That exhaust...its like the opening scene of cannonball run. My God it's like heaven
Fascinated by it in the 80s and still fascinated. Still the coolest looking car ever.
Good stuff. You couldn't describe the Countach a better way.
