My car has a cerametalic clutch. It's basically an on off switch. You have to slip it to get the car to move smoothly at all. Everyone who drives my car stalls it.

when this car was presented (1990) I was 18.. and I almost turned around at this sight. Only 1 year later came the _BUGATTI EB110_ (for me the most beautiful car in the world) and then in 1993 the _McLaren F1_ .. In the 80s and 90s, incredible cars were built. Now almost only extremely heavy hybrid hypercars (crammed with electronics) I don't like them anymore
People who comment about the clutch have certainly NEVER driven a car with a sports clutch ... let alone a SUPERCAR with a manual gearbox. Don't talk nonsense.
It's important to consider that many modern performance vehicles don't have the same issues with clutches that older cars did. From Wikipedia's numbers, a 91 Diablo has similar peak HP and less peak TQ than a 392 Challenger, but the manual in a 392 Challenger is extremely easy to operate, and the Challenger is a significantly heavier vehicle as well. Just like people that are coming into cars now will never know turbo lag as it was in the old days, these same people will never know the clutch technology that you had to deal with in the old days for what is considered today to be mid-level power.
Whatever you say in defense for this dude, you can never defend him for holding that god damn arm on the stick whole damn time. It hurt me to watch the video for more than 20 seconds. I had to stop. It is a rule number one in all beginners driving schools. You can hold the stick for faster shifting, BUT you can NOT hold your hand up on it and put pressure on transmission down below. End of story. This guy sucks

At 2.53 he holds the clutch in for 7 seconds, that's not good 1) for damage to the clutch & 2) for car control! The clutches on manual Diablos apparently didn't last if treated badly. Likely to be expensive!
Wow! I've never seen anyone learning how to drive in a Lamborghini before. The lucky guy didn't even stalled the engine at the first launch, and the gated shifter sure helped him not to clash the gears, but the poor clutch had suffered a lot more than the necessary. Anyway, that should be enough for the driver's license test.

Diablo and McLaren F1 v12s have pretty similar heavy deep low pitched sounds unlikely the v12 Ferraris like F50 where it has a more high pitched kinda musical sound ... both are awesome though :)
That’s not the clutch. That’s the straight teethed gearbox. And I don’t think that the car is on temperature overall. But your right, the driver is horrible ⚙️🔨 Stirs in the gearbox like he’s a chef 😂

many moons ago i used to walk by an exotic car dealer location at night. they were always open late for some reason. i would walk in the showroom and oggle their new black lamborghini diablo. no one ever came out to say hi. never saw a salesperson or anyone. i never touched the car of course. i think they knew who i was after a while and just left me alone. was pretty sweet to be that close to the car with no one around

As an American who has owned nothing but manual cars since 14 years old, this one hurt. I’m glad so many people have commented on the clutch abuse, the hand on the shifter the whole time, the immature steering, I mean people who are arguing that this guy did a good job are just lying to themselves… yeah he made the car go, but at what cost? (Thousands of dollars eventually) this is not a car you let just some guy drive, he may like cars but he’s not proper material to drive this sort of legendary Italian beast, and this is coming from an American fella, I love Corvettes and Camaros! I know you’re gonna think I’m a keyboard warrior but I really wish it was me behind the wheel, I’m a mature driver and I know rev match downshifting, I know heel toe downshifting too, just give me a few miles with the car and I will have it down.. point being, this guy ultimately did not do a good job driving this car.. yes he “drove” it but he didn’t do a feasible job at all to be honest. Let me do it :)
you know guys its not that easy to change gears in these sports cars, the clutch and transmission are very different from a normal daily car... if you dont drive at least 20-30 thousand kilometers on one super car, you wont be able to shift right

An old friend of mine deals with these types of cars, and I've driven a few with him in the cars. They're not easy cars to drive at first, but with patience and my friend's instructions, it can be done. I would never want to own one, myself.
The simplicity is amazing all mechanical feel like you need skill to drive this nowadays anyone can drive the latest lambos and a lot of them breakdown more often that these mechanical lambos.

@@Toxic2T @Nicolas T I was mainly commenting the coasting. If you have been racing or driving hard, the engine looses the chance to cool itself down before stopping.... you get heatsoak. Another thing is what I have been told when I learned to drive is, never leave the car out of speed when driving. Because you always want full control of the car. Which is not the case when coasting. You also loose engine braking capability. Also no rev matching when downshifting and shifting into gear again 😔 Thats just my opinion.
@@spiKey0svetlana For sure this is not his daily driver and he is not used to the clutch that could be the reason why he coasts and honestly if thats the case its better that he did so than try and slam the shifter into the gear especially without rev matching which you correctly pointed out. Also ive heard couple of times that coasting makes the car spend less petrol which in case of the modern cars makes no sense.

do you have something against rpm? you start out in 2nd gear lug lug lug, and shift at 3k rpms.. youre in 4th gear at 40 mph.

When they introduced the vt diablo (i believe 1995ish) they redesigned the instrunment cluster and made it lower.

The simplicity is amazing all mechanical feel like you need skill to drive this nowadays anyone can drive the latest lambos and a lot of them breakdown more often that these mechanical lambos.

The clutch and gearshift were treated like crap from a young novice driver, get over it. But anyway, kudos to him for having the opportunity to drive that legendary car!

I’ve seen Americans go into neutral on the move and coast a lot , I have no idea why

@@Toxic2T @Nicolas T I was mainly commenting the coasting.
If you have been racing or driving hard, the engine looses the chance to cool itself down before stopping.... you get heatsoak.
Another thing is what I have been told when I learned to drive is, never leave the car out of speed when driving. Because you always want full control of the car. Which is not the case when coasting. You also loose engine braking capability.
Also no rev matching when downshifting and shifting into gear again 😔

@@spiKey0svetlana For sure this is not his daily driver and he is not used to the clutch that could be the reason why he coasts and honestly if thats the case its better that he did so than try and slam the shifter into the gear especially without rev matching which you correctly pointed out. Also ive heard couple of times that coasting makes the car spend less petrol which in case of the modern cars makes no sense.
