4 Levels of Doughnuts: Amateur to Food Scientist | Epicurious
Вставка
- Опубліковано 23 вер 2024
- We challenged chefs of three different skill levels - an amateur, a home cook, and a professional - to make us a doughnut of their choice. After each of them had presented their creation, we asked a food scientist to review their work. Which one would you take first, hot off the tray?
Check out the level 3 recipe on the ICE blog: www.ice.edu/bl...

How to make someone look like a level 1 noob chef:
you don’t give them a stand mixer
Well it wasnt them. He rubbed in his butter as opposed to whisking it in. It is a technique in and of itself but is mostly reserved for making scones or biscuits because the rubbing creates tiny layers. Like mini puff pastry layers.
I have 2 Kitchen Aid stand mixers and not the cheap artisan ones. They sat on the floor for the past 10 years practically unused. -Totally unnecessary appliance.
