The demand for superhero games far outweighs the supply, this has always been true in gaming since the 3D era began in the 90s. Even more rare are games that allow you to create custom heroes. Overall it's baffling that more games aren't made to serve this niche, given how popular it is in movies.
That's because games that let you create a custom 'super hero' you don't view as a super hero game, you see it as a sandbox adventure game like Skyrim/Fallout, Saints row, CB2077, Monster hunter, Souls, Mass Effect/Dragon age. In terms of narrative, saving the world would qualify for 'super' just without the spandex and capes. In terms of gameplay and mechanics, then that 12 year old on COD/BF/CSGO that 720 no scoped you and then went on to knife 3 other people just Blackwidow'd your background extra grunt ass. The reason why these games don't feel all that 'super' is because you are not the hero in these games, the pro's are in their own respective game communities.
It's probably just the licenses being so hard to get that the only publishers making Superhero games are the absolute richest AAA manufacturers in the industry, so when they finally get to make a superhero game they make one that will recoup that investment, not just a good game. For every Spider-Man and GotG, you'll also get an Avengers or Gotham Knights. It's probably why the most saturated Superhero content is in Fortnite and Lego games; those are proven moneymakers that only need the superhero element injected into it and all of a sudden you got yourself a cash cow.
Could not agree more. I've played through all the superhero Lego games. And I absolutely hate the Lego games. X-Men is still one of Marvel's most successful franchises each month in sales and despite that, the last X-Men game we got was over a decade ago and it sucked.
Fun fact: many bugs like the corrupted Vibranium not spawning are still rampant, despite them being documented fairly well for years. The developers just don’t care about fixing bugs. It’s really embarrassing.

Man it's tough to see how such a great studio got wrangled into this mess. Crystal is such a talented studio and Avengers is such a misguided use of their skills as a development team.
They game only had 1 year of actual development from the time it was announced to launch it was thrown together in a hesr for a game made in a year its great but from the time the very first teaser was shown till launch its a sad disappointment and Crystal is one of the best developers out there and they are wasting time
You can tell too they really wanted to make a black panther game too like I feel like his design is the best the dlc had probably the most effort put into it even got Christopher judge but couldn't make it to it's fullest potential because they had to put effort into everything else

Ironically they tried to do it for purchasing XP Boosters. Got so much backlash that they undid it because there were so many clips of them saying “we won’t have Paid XP boosts” and it was quite wild to watch a company actually double back and undo something

I got the game for half price like a month after it came out and absolutley no-lifed it for 3 months during my leactures at home. Its actually kind of fun with the stories but the constant grind after you finish the story isnt great but its still very much worth a playthrough

i beat the main campaign yesterday, I need to beat the black panther story. The campaign was fun, but some enemies have to much health and the combat could me more smooth. Like the spider tanks with flame throwers and the psychic enemies are annoying to fight.

I played it when it came out. I thought the only redeeming quality was the combat. Once you had a character upgraded, there was some depth in there. Shame they got everything else wrong
@@SPDRM it’s annoying fighting 50 enemies but there’s two enemies in the air shooting you and locking onto them is troublesome. Then the screen gets hit with some pretty colors then I die.

I found it funny when Luke was walking around as old Hawkeye wanting to explore the city in the background, it looked so much like a greenscreen and blurry. But that glitch on the Wakanda mission is very bad too. Good analysis Luke

This was actually one of the first games I tried when I got my Xbox Cloud Streaming subscription in Spring this year. I remember a similar experience of the first thing being an absolute bombardment of DLC deals & marketplace items. On top of all that since it didn’t start me on a simple “New Game, Load Game & Setttings” menu it also took me about 15 minutes to actually find where I could just start the story. I gave the game 2 hours & it just failed to Wow me at all. Quit it and never looked back.

I heard the game is also being delisted in September and that the severs might stay up for a while. Have you heard anything about that? Cause I'd probably pick this up dirt cheap just to play with friends randomly or even by myself.

It reminds me of how ever since the 80s, game companies have been using popular IPs to grift. They know a certain amount of copies to make a profit will come just from the IP, so they just make the decision to put zero effort in. It’s very very rare for an IP based game to be good. Most companies who really want to make something great, will make their own IP so they can reap all the benefits.

18:59 That's unfortunately not just a problem with that expansion. I've ran into many situations in other missions that were released with Hawkeye's expansion (long before Black Panther's) and the same happens. Some objectives just don't load, and you have to restart the checkpoint. It is such a big issue that within the subreddit for the game, there has been a campaign to put in the pinned post "RELOAD CHECKPOINT AS SOON AS YOU START ANY MISSION" because you never know when you're going to run into this bug, but it is anywhere in the game. You could run into it at the beginning or halsway through the mission, but the odds of something just not working are VERY high.

I am fine with non open world maps for games along as there is something more than corridor, room, corridor. Take advantage of the strengths and weaknesses of the characters through level design, enemy design and enemy placement. The corridor, room, corridor design can also effectively happen with open world missions. It is that or have combat that is good enough to miss that basic design.

went back into it a while ago when it enounced its final update, the update was some bug fixes and the biggest thing is they gave you everything in the intire shop, badges, motes, skins, attacks, finishers, everything as a thank you for the support. I sometimes play it with my friends, one thing ive noticed is its pretty fun with you have a friends and laterally everything in the game
It’s odd to have a looter where you don’t even see the loot on your character. and the fact that they thought money was gonna come in by the boatload made them complacent, greedy, and disrespectful to player time. They got what was coming to them 🤷🏽♂

This game had unlimited potential. It could've been a really solid co op game but instead it was pay to win and pay to progress unless you spent hundreds of hours playing the same missions over and over again. Corporate greed really is the killer of games that look promising. It's Battlefront 2 all over again but except this time it never got good enough to what it should've been at launch.
I’ve ended up really enjoying all of the dlc. Literally down to how starved of marvel games I am. Was quite let down by midnight sons. Desperate for Spider man 2 soon.
Midnight sons doesn't even come out till December 2nd, the style is different I agree but it could still be a badass game, I'm trying it just because it's got my favorite heros in it. I've never been a XCOM kind of guy but if it's good for everyone else I'm happy

I bought this game on sale during the steam autumn sale, and honestly the game is really fun! I really don't understand all the hate this game has received. Is it full of microtransactions? yes but what game isn't today. I think the biggest challenge is separating it from the Marvel cinematic universe. Once I did that, I really began to enjoy it.
It’s also just the lack of frequent updates as well. For example a character like the Winter Soldier was leaked back in 2020 I think it was and he’s only just been added. I also think back in June ( This year ) there was rumours that the next character being added would be She-Hulk, but they changed their mind.
I took one look at the trailer and said nope I know exactly what this game is gonna be like. People keep telling me I shouldn't judge games till I play em but last I checked the point of marketing and gameplay trailers is to give an adequate argument to me the customer on why I should deem the game worth buying and playing and they failed. I seem to have a decent grasp of what will and won't work about I game once I see gameplay and this game further solidified that opinion of myself. What I don't get is why people think they need to play a game to tell that it sucks are they just sniffing copium or do most people just have bad observation skills?
I played this quite a bit up through war for wakanda and what always bothered me was that in endgame stuff, ranged builds were hands down superior to melee even for heroes that didnt make sense, but melee was so much more fun to play. I wonder if they ever rebalanced
The game is fun to play for a couple hours, once you’ve tried out the characters and their abilities then it’s stale again. The choice of robot enemies and this boring style of missions was such a terrible decision
It would be so cool to see you review the Tomb Raider trilogy (also developed by Crystal Dynamics). I just recently replayed it after playing through the entire Uncharted series for the first time and I think there’s lots to discuss!
Uncharted is more cinematic but those tomb raider games were awesome. I especially enjoyed the 2nd rise of the tomb raider. For tomb raider I'd go Rise of the tomb raider Tomb raider Shadow of the tomb raider Then for uncharted I'd go 4 2 3 1
A big issue I’ve had with this game is that so many characters feel the same. Everyone just feels like a re-skin of Cap, Widow, etc… It would be nice if they put some effort into introducing characters with different mechanics, such as Dr. Strange, Antman, Ghost Rider, etc… That’s one of the elements that made the Ultimate Alliance games so enjoyable to play!

Dude I gotta say I am having a blast playing so far new player and playing leveling captain America is a great experience.running full speed and kicking a enemy off a roof or uppercutting then leg sweeping to jumping and shield bashing to the ground running with shield out just beating the crap out of anyone In my path to shit throwing my shield off multiple enemy's and it coming back to kick it back out for one last hard hit to throwing the shield and then throwing it harder then third time throwing it straight out for a brutal hit to thr cool ass finishers that go seemless with the fight. So as far as game play I gotta say I love playing the avengers. Iron man Thor are a blast as well
See that's the real reason to play a game, to have fun. It becomes a problem when reddit lurkers get a hive mentality and act like it's a D measuring contest on who can conjure the most bs reason to blindly hate a game they more than likely never played and/or have no intention of playing.
One of the things I dislike is that while it's cool most have different movement options. Unless your a flying character or hulk and spiderman getting around is just not fun. You rarely can use wall running or pole swings feel awkward as hell.
I still think game is fun, but traversal is a problem; when you play bucky, captain and flying characters they move so much faster than Kamala or hulk is almost like the need a rush mode for them. I used to think damage was a problem, but once you start staking elements that removes the damage issue. The game doesn't suck it just think it need a couple of tweaks here and there and it would be enjoyable for most players; most importantly player feedback

I mean the last original character the game got was all the way back when Spiderman came out or Black Panther in the case of some players. Bucky was ok but he's still just a guy with a metal arm and guns and Jane added nothing to the game. The roster is terrible because it's predictable and the characters that aren't predictable are terrible and without a good roster you don't even have the fundamentals.

He ok melee wise, but really good ranged wise, neither good healing wise or tank wise or ability wise--and he can sprint everywhere. In contrast, spiderman is predominately good melee wise ok ranged wise but really excels when can debuff enemies with webs. Kamala should be the healer and buffer. Hulk should be a tank and massive ability damage--almost like a MOBA. The issue is the game doesn't clearly distinguish this in the characters, or communicate to the players these roles, just like they don't explain positive and negative elemental damage to players
@@TheMoses121 The vast majority of players don't care who's the most op in the game or roles, they want to play as Superheroes they like. So you can't compare Bucky to Spiderman because even if Spiderman were the weakest character in the game he would still be one of the most played characters because he's Spiderman. And Bucky doesn't really address any of the issues with the roster like the lack of versatility or really any new and unique Super powers. The lack of flyers. Or the terrible choice of female Superheroes. Black Widow being the lone mainstream female Superhero in the game and Kate and Ms Marvel being only Young Avengers while Jane is a clone. It's not a characters stats that attract people to play the game, it's the characters themselves.

Small issue, but for my controller brethren, just straight up turn off vibration, especially if you wanna play The Hulk, because for some fucking reason, the devs thought it would be a good idea to have every step The Hulk takes vibrate your controller. Which sounds great until your hands get numb.
Avengers suffers from mechanic before fun. When they designed the avengers they didn't think of "is it fun to only shoot 5 bolts of repulsor from one hand like a sissy before running out of power" They thought well damn if we let iron man shoot to no end it'd be unfair to characters who can't shoot limitlessly like hawkeye or black widow or hawkeye. They introduced the concept of stamina or a lazy copy of spider man's "focus" system and it ruins the fucking game. Nevermind the singular enemy faction, nevermind the broken animations, nevermind the lackluster story the game is not fun to play. It's a shiny game with a lot of "fanservice" but most of the cosmetics suck, most of the characters suck aside from thor he's the only well rounded character and he still sucks to play with. The worst character to play with is Iron man because I don't feel like iron man, the way he shoots is so incredibly lame, the switch between stances, rocket, laser or repulsor is stupid as shit and should have been combined into one or 2 streamlined attack sets. The hulkbuster is stupid as fuck, how can captain america smash a door but iron man can't unless he wears the hulkbuster. I fucking hate the game, I hate none of the characters truly feel fleshed out and no matter who I play I feel like a flimsy mortal looking for health cannisters every 5 minutes
It's not a game, it's a marketplace. A shitty one at that. It is dubbed Marvel's Avengers Marketplace. There are about 3 ppl on Twitter who still proudly post about it every day. The rest of us parted ways weeks after release.

Notice how you said you "really loved" the "new characters, story and action?" Then you immediately say you STOPPED PLAYING it because you didn't have people to play with? That's because you needed friends to provide the FUN. This game is a dumpster fire.
I played this game when it was free on gamepass, and the game just feels off in some way. Either it’s the controls the characters looking like the movie, but 25% different to not get sued, or the merchant shop constantly in your face. Even at its most polished it feels like a rough beta of a game that’s going to come out in the future.
It's certainly possible to have a redemption story in an online game. It was the case with Final Fantasy XIV, which was essentially reworked into a different game. However, those stories are rare, for the most part companies are not going to invest one or two years of heavy work to rewrite a game. My experience with other MMOs which failed to hit the mark is that the core missteps of the game would persist forever and most improvements, if any, will be cosmetic and/or superficial.

Marvel's series ended with Spiderman 2, I mean game with this graphics should be an open world so basically if you finish all the mission then you're basically just staying in that warship or just to dress up all of them
I think the game doesn't suck at all. If you like games with grind like destiny it's good. I maxed out most of the characters but as the gameplay is fun I still hop on to bash some heads with IM, CAP , THOR OR TCHALLA
I played it when it came to Game Pass and went through the story. I didn't play any end game content since by that time, I was already pretty bored. I'm sure it has it's audience, but it isn't for me.
If you’re considering getting Marvel’s Avengers, and do get it, Play through the main Campaign as you get use to the way the combat works, way missions are structured and how the early characters play. Once you’ve completed the main story, play the Operation Campaigns, theres ones for Kate Bishop, Clint Barton & Black Panther. ^ You don’t have to play Operations, u can of course jump straight into “ Avengers Initiative “ Which is the Online mode, where you play missions, loot / earn gear and level up. One other thing to mention, if you’re playing Online, if and when u reach Power 150, this is basically the End Game Content, where the game becomes more co-op based, you need to play with others to get the 150 power missions done. - It’s not really a Solo experience at this point. The map designs get quite repetitive after a while and you do fall into a bit of a tedious gameplay loop when playing online for the first time. I keep coming back at every new Character release and give it a go. the Winter Soldier just dropped and is pretty fun to play as. I’ll say this tho, Buy the game if on Sale. 🏷️ 🛒 - It’s Free in Xbox GamePass & PS Plus If u read all this, Thanks. Have a good one 🍻
I tried the game in 2021 via Xbox Game Pass, and the game kept hard crashing in the prologue when you're playing as the Hulk and racing across the crumbling bridge. Uninstalled and ignored the existance of the game till September 2023. Bought it now on Playstation due to this being the last chance to buy it, it being made a complete (for what it is) game, and it being offline capable. Oh, and the game breaking bugs finally being fixed.
I still play it from time to time Im just heated I paid 60 bucks for it Winter Soldier just dropped so who knows Id like to see something bigger then War for Wakanda and better end game a long the lines of Destiny
I just began playing this game 3/2023. The game is a solid 6 out of 10. Combat is fun but could be more smooth like the dodge function and the levels are repetitive. Some diversity in levels would make the game a 7 out of 10.
It just needs more options. We're always fighting AIM robots all the time. They need to add new maps and enemies. Bring the aliens already, they be been teasing it in the missions, it's what can save the game.

The developers spend all their time working on the store. The crazy thing is if they had actually worked on fixing the gameplay, they would’ve had more opportunities to make money because they wouldn’t have lost so many players.
I really think they missed their chance to have Hank Pym create Ultron. plus the third part still could take place in the future but instead of having to do with some type of Hulk you would have to go up against Ultron instead.

The demand for superhero games far outweighs the supply, this has always been true in gaming since the 3D era began in the 90s. Even more rare are games that allow you to create custom heroes. Overall it's baffling that more games aren't made to serve this niche, given how popular it is in movies.
That's because games that let you create a custom 'super hero' you don't view as a super hero game, you see it as a sandbox adventure game like Skyrim/Fallout, Saints row, CB2077, Monster hunter, Souls, Mass Effect/Dragon age. In terms of narrative, saving the world would qualify for 'super' just without the spandex and capes. In terms of gameplay and mechanics, then that 12 year old on COD/BF/CSGO that 720 no scoped you and then went on to knife 3 other people just Blackwidow'd your background extra grunt ass. The reason why these games don't feel all that 'super' is because you are not the hero in these games, the pro's are in their own respective game communities.

It's probably just the licenses being so hard to get that the only publishers making Superhero games are the absolute richest AAA manufacturers in the industry, so when they finally get to make a superhero game they make one that will recoup that investment, not just a good game. For every Spider-Man and GotG, you'll also get an Avengers or Gotham Knights.
It's probably why the most saturated Superhero content is in Fortnite and Lego games; those are proven moneymakers that only need the superhero element injected into it and all of a sudden you got yourself a cash cow.
Could not agree more. I've played through all the superhero Lego games. And I absolutely hate the Lego games. X-Men is still one of Marvel's most successful franchises each month in sales and despite that, the last X-Men game we got was over a decade ago and it sucked.

Man it's tough to see how such a great studio got wrangled into this mess. Crystal is such a talented studio and Avengers is such a misguided use of their skills as a development team.
They game only had 1 year of actual development from the time it was announced to launch it was thrown together in a hesr for a game made in a year its great but from the time the very first teaser was shown till launch its a sad disappointment and Crystal is one of the best developers out there and they are wasting time
You can tell too they really wanted to make a black panther game too like I feel like his design is the best the dlc had probably the most effort put into it even got Christopher judge but couldn't make it to it's fullest potential because they had to put effort into everything else

i beat the main campaign yesterday, I need to beat the black panther story. The campaign was fun, but some enemies have to much health and the combat could me more smooth. Like the spider tanks with flame throwers and the psychic enemies are annoying to fight.

I played it when it came out. I thought the only redeeming quality was the combat. Once you had a character upgraded, there was some depth in there. Shame they got everything else wrong

This was actually one of the first games I tried when I got my Xbox Cloud Streaming subscription in Spring this year. I remember a similar experience of the first thing being an absolute bombardment of DLC deals & marketplace items. On top of all that since it didn’t start me on a simple “New Game, Load Game & Setttings” menu it also took me about 15 minutes to actually find where I could just start the story. I gave the game 2 hours & it just failed to Wow me at all. Quit it and never looked back.

It reminds me of how ever since the 80s, game companies have been using popular IPs to grift. They know a certain amount of copies to make a profit will come just from the IP, so they just make the decision to put zero effort in. It’s very very rare for an IP based game to be good.
Most companies who really want to make something great, will make their own IP so they can reap all the benefits.

18:59 That's unfortunately not just a problem with that expansion. I've ran into many situations in other missions that were released with Hawkeye's expansion (long before Black Panther's) and the same happens. Some objectives just don't load, and you have to restart the checkpoint.
It is such a big issue that within the subreddit for the game, there has been a campaign to put in the pinned post "RELOAD CHECKPOINT AS SOON AS YOU START ANY MISSION" because you never know when you're going to run into this bug, but it is anywhere in the game. You could run into it at the beginning or halsway through the mission, but the odds of something just not working are VERY high.

I am fine with non open world maps for games along as there is something more than corridor, room, corridor. Take advantage of the strengths and weaknesses of the characters through level design, enemy design and enemy placement. The corridor, room, corridor design can also effectively happen with open world missions. It is that or have combat that is good enough to miss that basic design.

went back into it a while ago when it enounced its final update, the update was some bug fixes and the biggest thing is they gave you everything in the intire shop, badges, motes, skins, attacks, finishers, everything as a thank you for the support. I sometimes play it with my friends, one thing ive noticed is its pretty fun with you have a friends and laterally everything in the game

This game had unlimited potential. It could've been a really solid co op game but instead it was pay to win and pay to progress unless you spent hundreds of hours playing the same missions over and over again. Corporate greed really is the killer of games that look promising. It's Battlefront 2 all over again but except this time it never got good enough to what it should've been at launch.

I bought this game on sale during the steam autumn sale, and honestly the game is really fun! I really don't understand all the hate this game has received. Is it full of microtransactions? yes but what game isn't today. I think the biggest challenge is separating it from the Marvel cinematic universe. Once I did that, I really began to enjoy it.
It’s also just the lack of frequent updates as well.
For example a character like the Winter Soldier was leaked back in 2020 I think it was and he’s only just been added.
I also think back in June ( This year ) there was rumours that the next character being added would be She-Hulk, but they changed their mind.

I took one look at the trailer and said nope I know exactly what this game is gonna be like. People keep telling me I shouldn't judge games till I play em but last I checked the point of marketing and gameplay trailers is to give an adequate argument to me the customer on why I should deem the game worth buying and playing and they failed. I seem to have a decent grasp of what will and won't work about I game once I see gameplay and this game further solidified that opinion of myself. What I don't get is why people think they need to play a game to tell that it sucks are they just sniffing copium or do most people just have bad observation skills?
I played this quite a bit up through war for wakanda and what always bothered me was that in endgame stuff, ranged builds were hands down superior to melee even for heroes that didnt make sense, but melee was so much more fun to play. I wonder if they ever rebalanced
The game is fun to play for a couple hours, once you’ve tried out the characters and their abilities then it’s stale again. The choice of robot enemies and this boring style of missions was such a terrible decision

A big issue I’ve had with this game is that so many characters feel the same. Everyone just feels like a re-skin of Cap, Widow, etc…
It would be nice if they put some effort into introducing characters with different mechanics, such as Dr. Strange, Antman, Ghost Rider, etc… That’s one of the elements that made the Ultimate Alliance games so enjoyable to play!
Imagine how excited you’d be finding out the next project you’re working on is an Avengers game and then ending up having to make this soulless cash grab. They’d better be paying me good haha.

Dude I gotta say I am having a blast playing so far new player and playing leveling captain America is a great experience.running full speed and kicking a enemy off a roof or uppercutting then leg sweeping to jumping and shield bashing to the ground running with shield out just beating the crap out of anyone In my path to shit throwing my shield off multiple enemy's and it coming back to kick it back out for one last hard hit to throwing the shield and then throwing it harder then third time throwing it straight out for a brutal hit to thr cool ass finishers that go seemless with the fight. So as far as game play I gotta say I love playing the avengers. Iron man Thor are a blast as well
See that's the real reason to play a game, to have fun. It becomes a problem when reddit lurkers get a hive mentality and act like it's a D measuring contest on who can conjure the most bs reason to blindly hate a game they more than likely never played and/or have no intention of playing.
One of the things I dislike is that while it's cool most have different movement options. Unless your a flying character or hulk and spiderman getting around is just not fun. You rarely can use wall running or pole swings feel awkward as hell.
An Insomniac Black Panther, Iron Man, game would be cool. Also a remake of captain America: Super Soldier with better everything
I still think game is fun, but traversal is a problem; when you play bucky, captain and flying characters they move so much faster than Kamala or hulk is almost like the need a rush mode for them. I used to think damage was a problem, but once you start staking elements that removes the damage issue. The game doesn't suck it just think it need a couple of tweaks here and there and it would be enjoyable for most players; most importantly player feedback
Needs a decent roster to be enjoyable to most players because the majority of the playerbase left after the first year.

I mean the last original character the game got was all the way back when Spiderman came out or Black Panther in the case of some players. Bucky was ok but he's still just a guy with a metal arm and guns and Jane added nothing to the game. The roster is terrible because it's predictable and the characters that aren't predictable are terrible and without a good roster you don't even have the fundamentals.

He ok melee wise, but really good ranged wise, neither good healing wise or tank wise or ability wise--and he can sprint everywhere. In contrast, spiderman is predominately good melee wise ok ranged wise but really excels when can debuff enemies with webs. Kamala should be the healer and buffer. Hulk should be a tank and massive ability damage--almost like a MOBA. The issue is the game doesn't clearly distinguish this in the characters, or communicate to the players these roles, just like they don't explain positive and negative elemental damage to players
@@TheMoses121 The vast majority of players don't care who's the most op in the game or roles, they want to play as Superheroes they like. So you can't compare Bucky to Spiderman because even if Spiderman were the weakest character in the game he would still be one of the most played characters because he's Spiderman. And Bucky doesn't really address any of the issues with the roster like the lack of versatility or really any new and unique Super powers. The lack of flyers. Or the terrible choice of female Superheroes. Black Widow being the lone mainstream female Superhero in the game and Kate and Ms Marvel being only Young Avengers while Jane is a clone. It's not a characters stats that attract people to play the game, it's the characters themselves.
That back group of all the avenger is a constint reminder of a much better games grime PS2 error 😢

Small issue, but for my controller brethren, just straight up turn off vibration, especially if you wanna play The Hulk, because for some fucking reason, the devs thought it would be a good idea to have every step The Hulk takes vibrate your controller. Which sounds great until your hands get numb.
Avengers suffers from mechanic before fun. When they designed the avengers they didn't think of "is it fun to only shoot 5 bolts of repulsor from one hand like a sissy before running out of power" They thought well damn if we let iron man shoot to no end it'd be unfair to characters who can't shoot limitlessly like hawkeye or black widow or hawkeye.
They introduced the concept of stamina or a lazy copy of spider man's "focus" system and it ruins the fucking game. Nevermind the singular enemy faction, nevermind the broken animations, nevermind the lackluster story the game is not fun to play. It's a shiny game with a lot of "fanservice" but most of the cosmetics suck, most of the characters suck aside from thor he's the only well rounded character and he still sucks to play with.
The worst character to play with is Iron man because I don't feel like iron man, the way he shoots is so incredibly lame, the switch between stances, rocket, laser or repulsor is stupid as shit and should have been combined into one or 2 streamlined attack sets. The hulkbuster is stupid as fuck, how can captain america smash a door but iron man can't unless he wears the hulkbuster. I fucking hate the game, I hate none of the characters truly feel fleshed out and no matter who I play I feel like a flimsy mortal looking for health cannisters every 5 minutes
It's not a game, it's a marketplace. A shitty one at that. It is dubbed Marvel's Avengers Marketplace. There are about 3 ppl on Twitter who still proudly post about it every day. The rest of us parted ways weeks after release.

As someone who came back to that game last year, I really loved it. The new characters, the story, the action. All great. I stopped playing because it’s more fun if you have people to play with which I did not

What I would do for a remake of Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Played 40 hrs and still couldn’t work out what to do and how to pick the next mission when I was done and gave up.
It ain't a perfect game but man I still enjoy playing it every now and again, just fun with a friend or two and to chat and chill

I played this game when it was free on gamepass, and the game just feels off in some way. Either it’s the controls the characters looking like the movie, but 25% different to not get sued, or the merchant shop constantly in your face. Even at its most polished it feels like a rough beta of a game that’s going to come out in the future.
I enjoy the game. I definitely see the flaws, but i really enjoy it. It needs more content

It's certainly possible to have a redemption story in an online game. It was the case with Final Fantasy XIV, which was essentially reworked into a different game. However, those stories are rare, for the most part companies are not going to invest one or two years of heavy work to rewrite a game. My experience with other MMOs which failed to hit the mark is that the core missteps of the game would persist forever and most improvements, if any, will be cosmetic and/or superficial.

The maps are insane all with free roam options it blew my mind parkoung in the city as Steve or T’challa

Marvel's series ended with Spiderman 2, I mean game with this graphics should be an open world so basically if you finish all the mission then you're basically just staying in that warship or just to dress up all of them

I think the game doesn't suck at all. If you like games with grind like destiny it's good. I maxed out most of the characters but as the gameplay is fun I still hop on to bash some heads with IM, CAP , THOR OR TCHALLA
tbh this game does have good combat and performance issues are all in the past, but the severe lack of differing mission types has killed it
I played it when it came to Game Pass and went through the story. I didn't play any end game content since by that time, I was already pretty bored. I'm sure it has it's audience, but it isn't for me.
I actually really enjoyed this game.

If you’re considering getting Marvel’s Avengers, and do get it,
Play through the main Campaign as you get use to the way the combat works, way missions are structured and how the early characters play.
Once you’ve completed the main story, play the Operation Campaigns, theres ones for Kate Bishop, Clint Barton & Black Panther.
^ You don’t have to play Operations, u can of course jump straight into “ Avengers Initiative “ Which is the Online mode, where you play missions, loot / earn gear and level up.
One other thing to mention, if you’re playing Online, if and when u reach Power 150, this is basically the End Game Content, where the game becomes more co-op based, you need to play with others to get the 150 power missions done. - It’s not really a Solo experience at this point.
The map designs get quite repetitive after a while and you do fall into a bit of a tedious gameplay loop when playing online for the first time.
I keep coming back at every new Character release and give it a go. the Winter Soldier just dropped and is pretty fun to play as.
I’ll say this tho, Buy the game if on Sale. 🏷️ 🛒

I tried the game in 2021 via Xbox Game Pass, and the game kept hard crashing in the prologue when you're playing as the Hulk and racing across the crumbling bridge. Uninstalled and ignored the existance of the game till September 2023. Bought it now on Playstation due to this being the last chance to buy it, it being made a complete (for what it is) game, and it being offline capable. Oh, and the game breaking bugs finally being fixed.
I still play it from time to time Im just heated I paid 60 bucks for it Winter Soldier just dropped so who knows Id like to see something bigger then War for Wakanda and better end game a long the lines of Destiny

I just began playing this game 3/2023. The game is a solid 6 out of 10. Combat is fun but could be more smooth like the dodge function and the levels are repetitive. Some diversity in levels would make the game a 7 out of 10.
My black panther missions wont ever load completely. I get left with a black screen

Yup! I just didn't continue I found some VR missions then left and uninstalled.
It just needs more options. We're always fighting AIM robots all the time. They need to add new maps and enemies. Bring the aliens already, they be been teasing it in the missions, it's what can save the game.

The developers spend all their time working on the store. The crazy thing is if they had actually worked on fixing the gameplay, they would’ve had more opportunities to make money because they wouldn’t have lost so many players.
Imo this game should've had city free roam like gta, Spider-Man , hell even Batman has it
I really think they missed their chance to have Hank Pym create Ultron. plus the third part still could take place in the future but instead of having to do with some type of Hulk you would have to go up against Ultron instead.

Spider-Man has been neglected since he dropped on the market place (I blame the exclusivity), there is a bug after a mission the controller vibrates non stop until you bring up mission select

I never regret spending money on something till I bought this game. It was on sale for 20 dollars and it was the biggest waste of 20 dollars ever.
No, Iron Man doesn’t have to maintain charge. It’s not a Tesla. The arc reactor smashes hydrogen atoms into helium creating an endless power source. That’s my nerd out for the day.
