Want to put a double din in your Miata like I did? Here's the adapter kit I made! www.etsy.com/CashsCustomShop/listing/917607004/mazda-mx-5-miata-double-din-radio-kit-na Get this double din radio: amzn.to/3Zil9bz
I bought a spare tombstone and a Ferret 3D scanner... I want to move the A/C Controls to the bottom, and move the 2DIN Nav/radio up... So I'm either going to use a dremel tool and some epoxy putty to cut it up and move it around, but not before first scanning the tombstone in case I want to make one from scratch and 3D print, filler primer, sand and paint. I haven't checked to see if the A/C controls have enough slack on them even, but I'll cross that bridge once my scanner gets here... If I do end up doing custom, I can add more buttons and switches, likely a switch for the radio/Nav. and maybe an antenna switch and an Aux switch for whatever else.
It's been 3 days and no luck have 93 Miata NA when I reconnect the old OEM stereo its fine, but the JVC Single Deck has no power tried putting the ground in different places and connect the Yellow battery wire with together and by itself with the Switch/IGN and the constient power. All fuses look fine. Any suggestions? @cashedoutcars
The best way to see if the unit itself is defective is to try and bench test it. Hook it up to a 12v power source and see if it'll turn on out of the car. Other than that double check the wiring diagram for the new radio and make sure you're connecting everything to the correct place on the OEM harness. Good luck!
Thanks! There are universal kits that require some slight modification to make them work, I just didn’t want to wait for one to come in so I made my own. I can link a universal kit shortly!
This is a universal kit for Mazdas of the era. Granted it won't be a direct fit and will require some modification to make it work. Good luck! amzn.to/2M87Rdi
the reason your radio is acting up is because the screws you used might be touching the internals (saw this in another video where you said it was acting weird)
That’s an interesting idea! I agree that it could cause the problem, but even when it wasn’t mounted (no screws were in it) it had the same problem. I got the unit replaced and the new one works great!
I think it is time to modernize my 96 miata a bit. I have seen many computers on the network from 45 dollars. I would like to know if for a miata you recommend one or the one that you put in your car. If so, could you give me the radio model please🤙🏼 Tks.
It’s in the works :) I have my design done for the 1.6 cars which have a slightly different tombstone when compared to the 1.8. I’m working on finishing that one up though!
It's been a while, but if you're still interested I just finished the listing! www.etsy.com/CashsCustomShop/listing/917607004/mazda-mx-5-miata-double-din-radio-kit-na

Dude - this is so perfect! Thank you!
It’s sold out ,I need one please
Hey man do you sell any adpter for nb miatas?
on e-bay I see they have laser etched A/C control backing plates...
Do you know when you'll be open for orders again? I'm finally getting my Miata and am looking to update the radio asap! This video is so helpful!
Please start making these again I really need one
can you show us how to make the mount I can't find one to fit anywhere
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE WIRE DIAGRAM OH MY LORD
I use to watch ur longboard videos I love that you also own a yata ☺️
Glad to see you enjoying both channels!!
Would we be able to get the dimensions of the custom frame? I have all the wiring done just need to find a way to fit it.
Yea can we have the dimensions in metrics as well
I have a na, I installed an aftermarket radio. I connected all the wires correctly but I get no sound. Do you know why?
If you enter the code 123456 (i believe) in the background part of the settings you can unlock different manufacturing logos when the radio boots up.
I’ll have to check that out! Thanks
I plan to do this with a quality unit that has a CD player. I also intend to connect a backup camera to it.
Did you do it already? How did you mount it?
@@abafoon604 not yet. The expense of life slowing me down.
@@mr.adventure559 Well did you get your cash together and take it to the next level yet?
Good to know that I'm not the only one with a dirty AF 'cup holder' lol.

Very nice job 👍
Cool stuff
So the real question is do you expect to have more in stock any time soon or what?
Just ordered new material, once it gets here and passes my quality checks I’ll have more in production😎
I'm keen to see the review of this head unit 😄
I'll have the review out within a few weeks!
I have the same one in my 96 Miata it works great and the reverse cam is actually pretty good only problem I have is it resets every once in a while
The courtesy light between the tombstone and the glove box door.
Our car just has a blank square, is that just a dome light repurposed?
It may have been an option on earlier cars, this came in mine when I bought it!

Nice!👍did you have to cut the tomestone first for double din?? Also 5:55 do you like the band " mixed up everything" too??...😉👍
Thanks! No tombstone modification was required, so it's completely reversible. I just looked into them, they sound good!
Hey Cash! In one your videos I recall you had an ebay link to the climate cover but I can't find it. Any help? Love your stuff mate.
ua-cam.com/video/dzgTNkOHpXk/v-deo.html Here it is! I had made the video unlisted, just made it public again. Link is in that description! Thanks!
Where is the link for the wiring. It does not come up during the video even when you say it does.
The boutique on etsy says is no longer in operation. Do you still sell those?
I just recently got back from vacation and was waiting on material, the page is back up!
Awesome! I’ll go back to the store.
Is there one with GPS
Liked the video. Are there any pre fabricated brackets in the market?
Thanks! There are universal kits that require some slight modification to make them work, I just didn’t want to wait for one to come in so I made my own. I can link a universal kit shortly!

CashedOutCars Thank you cheers!
Cash, do you have specs for the mounting bracket? Or make them for sale? Let me know!! Thanks man
I can make some to sell, send me an email cashedoutcars@gmail.com and we can work something out!

What model of touchscreen did you use? Would you mind leaving a link or something:) thx
This is the unit, good luck! amzn.to/2yoSsSh
where is the card for the wiring video.

I have this same head unit. Internal amp is cheap and does a bad job powering the front speaker.

You should post the mounts that you made on Etsy so I can buy one

Why tf has no company just made a double din head unit bracket so we don’t have to jerry rig or make one ourselves🤣
I started making and selling these, I’ll have them back in stock soon
Hey bro what's your Instagram?
@cashedoutcars!
@@CashedOutCars awesome gonna go follow you 🔥🔥
Not really helpful as obviously we can’t get custom brackets
I’ve sold almost 100 of these brackets! Plus you can make your own or modify a different bracket
Eew.. replace your thermostat gauge panel first. It's all worn out and ugly.
I have a new one waiting to go in, it hasn't been much of a priority though
