I tend to pay more attention to players of G&L.. I'm looking for a replacement for the stock G40v Pignose speaker. The Lil Buddy stands out. Thanks for the video.
Hello Aris, how are you? This combination is perfect, you might not notice from the video how good these two speakers are. I made this call on my pro-jr and after that the amp. It looks like another, ... whoever hears thinks he has a 12 "speaker, the size that the lil buddy gives to the set.As I said the beginning ... PERFECT combination! Hugs from Brazil. J. Francis

If I may ask a question about using two different speakers.. Wouldn't the balance of the tone change as you increase the amps volume? I know some speakers are louder, and sometimes much louder than others. Wouldn't the louder speaker basically takeover at some point? Tanks.
Hello! Yes, that would be true if you pair speakers with a big difference in db sensitivity. The speakers I use for this video are almost identically sensitive to the amp output. Of course, this balance can drift with volume as different speakers break-up at different frequencies and volumes but this is what makes a particular speaker pairing unique. Fender OEM for that nice twang and high-end, LilBuddy for the big and clean lows.
Nice playing and sound. I successfully paired two LB’s and two Eminence alnicos (1028?) in a Super Reverb. Very smooth and balanced sound that I love.

I fully agree about the lil buddy. It behaves like a 12. I still use this pair in my amp. Thanks for watching! My love from Greece to Brazil.
