There are Russian made Torsen diff available for the UAZ.The UAZ is part time four wheel drive vehicle, when you engage the front wheel drive, is equal when you lock the centre diff in the G wagen. If you put those Torsens in the front and in the back of the UAZ axle, you are wery close to that what the G wagen has..... and you still have better flexibility. (and save a ton of money too....)
.....and the UAZ also can be equipped with full lockers too. It's like LEGO play, you can combine full lockers, torsens as you want. The advantage that the G wagen has when it came out from the factory, can be easily catch! There are russian made lockers, torsens out there.
Only 2 difflocks, center difflock are standard in every uaz, he no need one because in 4x4 always get 50/50 ration between axles. And if you add 2 air lockers or hydraulic lockers you will still be cheaper, and whit bigger flex than G wagen
Well, the G wagon is certanly the most capable of these three, because of it's factory Diff-Lock. But for the same reason, it really dosen't need to "flex" much, as it completely relies on it's locks for traction. So all of the older g-clases had/have fairly ridget suspension. Thanks for watching
Why not select 4WD and engage the "G" Wagen diff locks, or was this to entirely pointlessly identify when a single rear wheel lost traction due to loosing contact with the ground?
Yes. That was actually exactly the point. This was only to demonstrate the difference in suspension articulation. And yes, they were all in 4wd low range. But had either the Hummer or the G wagon had their lockers engaged, they would just have kept driving up, until they hit the Mog, or just rolled over...
Uh if you want a real American military truck get one of the old Detroit 6.5 turbo diesel k5 Blazers or the original h1 hummvee. Seriously any of the civilian hummers like that aren't worth anyone's time.
+sqhatr Yeah, we'd get one of those in a heartbeat if offered. but those trucks are in short supply here in europe. But like it says in the description, we do know that the H3 really dosen't have much to do with the other two, but we had it here, so we just threw it in there. On an other note. The H3 really isn't a bad truck, but a Humvee it isn't. Thanks for watching
i guess thats understandable, i am kinda sad you dont get to see the interesting american trucks. Oh well, i wish i could go to europe just to get a right hand drive old school defender.
This UAZ off roaders never cease to amaze me. They aren't very reliable, but they're certainly more capable than they appear.
you can repair them with a hammer dude...

Уазик приятно удивил
The G wagon does not need more flexibility to fit to the ground. The G wagon is like Chuck Norris - it make the underground fit ;-).
Well G-wagon gots pair of hydraulic locking diffs
469ER 😍😎💪
Only UAZ :D
the icing on the cake would have been at the end seeing the unimog drive over the hummer.
Nice comparison!
Are you using a unimog as a part of the flex test?
Fat Bogan we sure are. The front bumper had just the right height.
Love the G intro ! *_*
Uaz should be in Canada :)
You can buy some good Uaz in Czech republic for 3000$

The G-Class was a star.
And it's still.
@@YourLocalUkrainianGerman But the UAZ is a brighter star
@@alexanderbezumov3531 In what way? He's like not comparable to the Mercedes-Benz G-Class AT ALL.
@@alexanderbezumov3531 Btw your account was created on my birthday congrats
Give me a UAZ with 2 lockers. Still cheaper than the other 2 without mods. Also I find the flex in the UAZ more impressive.

The G has 3 diff locks. flexiblility is no where near as important as locks

yes maybe but they are very rare. The UAZ in this video is a 469b, im wondering how good the 469 would have performed with its portal axles

You can get aftermarket locks to any 4x4 vehicle nowadays.

İ'd take that Gwagen over all
Are these UAZ as good off road as Jeeps??
Edwinn Barajas Vega I think UAZs are better than Jeep's
