The best part about the Hogan - Shawn thing is Shawn getting a taste of his own medicine. When he was politicking with the Kliq, Hogan was in WCW so he wasn't aware of the sheer magnitude of the backstage beast Hogan is. Hogan fr is the goat backstage politician. Is funny how HBK loosing his smile gave us the Austin Bret match at Mania 13 and Bret's full heel turn too and it gave us the first WWF title change on Raw with Sid beating Bret for the belt. As for The Rock at this point it was very rough so much so they needed to make a new heel just for Rock to get cheered from the fans. Also this was the time period before they went the full Raw is War presentation they just did these shows in smaller venues cause bussiness was still bad at this time so is why Raw took place is such fun and random locations also the shows back then where 1 was live which most of the time the Raw after the ppv and the rest where taped in the same venue 3 or 2 times per month to save on costs cause a live show costed more than a taped show so is why most segments feel a bit hastily edited and stuff.
Also man WCW was kicking there asses around this time period lol no wonder HBK faked his injury here.

I just watched a Shawn Michaels doc and he talked about what led up to his “lost my smile” moment, he was so deep into drugs that HHH had to go to Vince and tell him Shawn had a massive problem and needed to get help, Vince called Shawn’s father to talk to him about Shawn’s drug problem and Vince said his dad didn’t want to hear anything about it. Shawn said the moment that turned his drug problem around was his kid getting to an age where he could talk and started saying “Daddy’s tired” all the time, he realized his kid was becoming aware something was wrong with him and he told his wife the next day he was quitting and according to her he kept his word.
Attended this show live and had an absolute blast. It felt like such a different product especially considering I attended a post survivor series 96 house show in the same building a couple months prior that felt like a dying company.
I was at a house show in Lowell Mass for NXT. Made a sign and Johnny Gargano pointed it out, then liked my tweet. Pretty cool

One of the most interesting things about the rock's career to me, is how wwf had him in uswa as flex kavana (store brand Rock) to hone is mic skills, presentation, and charisma. Then called him up to build his in ring ability and... get used to being booed like a heel. I i don't know if it was intentional or they just gave up on pushing him as mavia, but either way it's pretty unheard of for Vince. What makes for a better heel than a baby face that no one wants?

I feel like my generation didn’t like King of the hill because it was the sign that Cartoon Network was over and whatever show you wanted to watch was done for the day. I don't know if words can accurately describe how much I despised the Westminster dog show as a 9 year old kid obsessed with wrestling and ignorant to tv guide/programming and only 1 tv in the household usually used by my parents for Friends or 90210 or Football. The VERY few instances where 9 y/o me was able to get the tv to myself on Mon night and instead of Raw is this dog show...smh. The fury was epic
