Great info thanks because nobody speak about expat with pets! Difficulties to find a pet friendly condo?

I also found it hard to research how to relocate internationally with cats, that’s why I made this video.
In Bangkok, there are very few condos that are pet-friendly, and those who are are usually priced at a higher rate. Keep in mind that some also have a limit, like one dog per condo unit.
Just be sure to mention your pets to the agents once you start looking for condos.
      Good luck! 😊

Omg. It must cost a fortune to travel with pets.

It wouldn’t have been as expensive if I was not denied boarding in the first place. 🥲
If you book your flights well in advance, and verify from a manager or higher ups that everything is correct, it’s usually cheaper. 😬 I won’t trust customer support again when it comes to things like this. 🫤

im planning to take international flight with finnair in a few months and this video helped me a lot. one question i have is about the carrier. i checked the product shown at 7:40 on amazon and the dimension does not meet the finnair regulation, specifically for the shortest part of 23cm. did it ever matter or potentially would have mattered during check in? like, was there actual measurement taken?

Nobody checked the size of the carriers, just weight, not with Lufthansa when I was trying to check in, and also not with Finnair(and I flew twice with connecting flights).
As long as it’s soft-padded, you can easily “reshape” it to fit under the seat in front of you. So long as your pet isn’t squished. That’s the part you can’t get away with, they won’t allow you to put the carrier on your lap or on the aisle or in front of your legs during take off and landing. It has to fit under a seat. They will move you to a different seat if you’re facing a wall during take off and landing, like what happened to me.

ok good to know, thank you very much! and there is one more thing. it says IATA-approved carrier. it also doesn't really matter, does it? i mean, i don't think anyone would ask you to show a paper if the product is IATA-approved or not.

I saw that you booked bulk head premium economy seat on your finnair flight? Do they allow that?? Thought they said you have to slide them under the seat in front of you? I am preparing to travel next year with my cats to Europe. Thanks

Yes, I had upgraded to the Premium Economy for the longer part of our flights. For the first one, they didn’t care that my pet carrier was not under a front seat (there was no empty seat at that flight) but with my second cat, they made me switch to an empty premium economy seat (with smaller legroom) during take off and landing. Then I just need to switch back to my seat once the seatbelt sign was off. :)
The most important part is having more legroom for the longer duration of your flight for your and your cat’s sake. Just be sure to contact the airline (in case it’s different than Finnair) and inform them you have a pet with you.

@@VilmaValiant thanks. We were thinking of booking three economy seats between the two of us so it give us one seat in the middle for the cats btw take off and landing

Double check with them if you can book 2 seats under the same name. That was exactly the reason why I was denied boarding. I bought 2 seats under my name. But I booked them separately. When I contacted their support to confirm if I can indeed take 2 cats if I buy an extra seat even if I travel alone, they said yes. But it turned out it’s not allowed to have more than one seat for the same person. They have a policy of 1 pet carrier per passenger. If my cats fit in one pet carrier then it would’ve been fine but they were both adults.
Just verify with them and make sure to send you a confirmation email, like I advised.
