I love that you mentioned you previously owned a rainbow. We currently have one and are looking to either buy a 2nd or quantum. I constantly see comments on Quantum’s page where people are wanting to know if it’s comparable. I don’t think this canister will be right for us, but I am interested in the Quantum X... I have the newer rainbow and I like only having 1 hose. Not a big fan of having to swap hoses out. Thanks for a great review!
I wish the Quantum company still made these. Now they make an upright, but I prefer a canister. I wonder why they quit making these. Do you still have it? How has your experience been?
I’m about to buy this very vacuum with ALL the attachments you have as well. It will be lightly used but in great condition. Can you give an update, since this video is now 5 years old. Do you still use this vacuum, do you love it? Any issues I should know about? Thank you for such a thorough review.
thank you for hour honest review! and what about 3 years later? do you still have this one working??? ... what you said about the smells specially about the dog hair is very important to take in count or considering. .... Quantym now have the Quantum X do you thing is as good as this one?
Where can I buy? A Quantum Vacuum. I went to the site. And it directs me to another site for there model x upright vacuum. Unless they don't make this model of vacuum anymore. I hope you can give me some information about where I can order this vacuum. God bless!
I have a sewingroom and there are lots of loose threads.. would they be a hindrance to the motor brush and entangle there... Also do you think that the motorized brush would have to be replaced from wearing down over time.... I have 2 kitties also with lots of fur on carpets.
They would entangle, but that would be the case with any powered roller brush. We have 3 females in our home - all with long hair that does wrap up around the roller brush. Nothing has not yet stopped the roller brush, but I do maintain it by taking scissors to the hair and cleaning it out. I have not yet attempted to take the bottom off and take the roller brush out for a full "de-hairing", but it does not appear that it would be difficult to do.
How much is the canister vacuum with all the attachments there's another vacuum on the market like the rainbow they want $3,500 for it I was just wondering what the price of that water for tration vacuum cleaner is text me back or whatever Back appreciate it
Wait. You have to switch hoses in order to go from the power head to the floor tool. That's nuts. You do not have to do that with a rainbow. Has anyone run a particle test to see how well the quantum really does clean the air?
You don’t have to change hoses. The power nozzle should come off and the floor took should fit on the electrified wand. The non electrified hose is for wet pickups. You don’t have to switch hoses on rainbows either.
No. They said they've redesigned one coming out in early 2023. I have the Quantum X upright but want a canister water filtration vacuum for the additional features. The Sirena looks good and I've read reviews saying it's better than the Rainbow vacuums. Price is 1/5th the cost of a Rainbow too. About $800 with tax and Rainbow is about $3,500!!
Yeah, but what if you have alot of dog hair. I can vacuum 2 times a day. I have 4 big dogs. I get 3 canisters full of hair out of my shark. I just don't see this working for that.
Have you ever taken a fluffy dog and given it a bath? Notice how the size of the dog shrinks as the water mats down all of the fur? That is exactly what all of the water filter based vacuums do to the fur they catch. I have two dogs and two cats. I have a very old rainbow and it handles massive amounts of fur just fine.
No they dont currently sell the canister. They've said they're supposed to release an updated one in early 2023. However, Serena has a nice looking canister vacuum that I've heard is better than the Rainbow and available now. Cost is about $800 with tax and discount code INSTA30. I'm considering the Sirena. I have the Quantum X upright but prefer the additional features of a canister water filtration vacuum
So far, I would say it is worth buying. It works well and appears to be of good quality. We've only been using it a month, however, so can't speak to it's longevity. But, like I said in the video...you could buy 6 of these before you would spend what it would cost to buy the high dollar competitor.
This was a great video, you are very well versed in water vacuums!

The quantum x is awesome! Buy one. You won't regret it.

I would like to try the Quantum canister vacuum Is there a link where you found yours?
How is the noise level on this thing? I kind of has sensitive ears. I love my Kirby's, but most of my carpet is gone which makes it even louder
It's definitely not quiet, but no louder than a Rainbow.

Not sure about the new Rainbows, but my previous one (from 1995) required a hose change between powered and non-powered when switching floor tools.

@@briansquire8825 Good to know. I still won't purchase the Quantum because you have to hold the trigger to keep the power head on.
I love to get when I wish somebody would give me one I would definitely do one of these videos for the vacuum I love to get one
How about running the vacuum?
The blue light is so you can see when it's time to change the water
Now, there's a thought..... :)
I have a rainbow e2 black.
How has your vacuum held up since posting this video? Thank you.
Still going strong. However: quantumvac.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021262193-I-prefer-the-canister-can-I-still-buy-it-

Great to see a review from a former rainbow owner.
Glad to help!
Is it worth buying?

I guarantee the dog hair would have the water soaked up.
That's not a rainbow
Correct! It's a QUANTUM!
