Hi Shawn, thanks for picking Quantum X to do your first review video on- we feel honored! Very honest and informative review. Thank you for all the feedback and we are so happy to have you as part of the Quantum Family!
@@QuantumVac I have a love hate relationship with this vac. It is heavy. I'd like more demonstration like how to use on furniture. And the accessories. Please. Thank you
WOW. This was my first review and I had no idea there were so many views. To be honest, I didn't think many people would make it all the way to the end! My apologies for not responding to you all sooner. I no longer have the vacuum (the ex got it in the divorce) but I used it for almost a year and never had any problems with the functionality of the device. The only issue that really stands out to me as a problem is that the tank is difficult to clean. You can rinse all day and still won't get all the gunk out. If you replace the tank for storage, the left over water gets moldy and VERY stinky. When you go to use it again, the smell is horrid. I had to start storing the vacuum apart from the tank between uses.
I have a Rainbow Vac and after you empty the canister, I store it separate from the vacuum. I enjoyed your video and I am sorry about your divorce but I’m glad the ex got the stinky water tank!
Thank you for this comment you literally answered all the questions I was about to ask you. I'm very sorry for your divorce though. Although it is healthier maybe to get everything caught in water, it seems a traditional vacuum with just a good old dumping canister like what I have with the shark rocket is still best and easiest. I love my shark and it's 5 years old but I'm still able to use it. The hose broke and I've been looking into either replacing it or getting something different and so far all directions to just replacing my shark rocket LOL the functionality of it beats everything I've ever seen and I've beat my thing so much I used to clean houses and take it with me and it still works and I literally use it every single day. I only have one cat but I have three kids and a boyfriend and his children visit every two weeks so I use my vacuum literally every day to make sure my house stays pretty nice. Once again thank you very much for your review I sincerely appreciate it and I hope you have a wonderful day :-)
I hope your Quantum X is holding up better than mine. I have had mine for 10 months. In that time I have had the entire vacuum replaced 3 times, the power head once and the body once. When it works it is fantastic but I am glad I kept my old Shark vacuum to use when the Quantum X doesn’t. I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone. I had a Rainbow vacuum for 15 years, no problems. My Shark is 6 years old no problems.
I knew it , bet i should have got the shark, glad i got the quantum now !we shall see cuz nope , i have a 2500 sq. Ft. House and this Quantum works excellent! And i have long hair plus a parrot that leaves lots of big pieces of crumbs/ wood toys parts/ banana chips, you name it this vacuum pics it al up ony empty the water when done! So boy , this is a life saver and haven't used the attachments yet, so really great, actually, i wouldn't believe it if i didn't have bought this, very happy, what suction!! 👍👍👍👍
Carol Hartley I got so sick and tired of sending the Quantum X back that it is sitting in the garage as a backup in case my Shark should ever have a problem. That Quantum X was the biggest waste of money ever. Learned my lesson.
@@cpgde I'm sorry you've had such bad luck with yours. My ex got ours in the divorce.. I actually bought a SHARK since the house I moved into is ALL CARPET except the kitchen and one small bathroom. Even my master bathroom is covered in carpet - which is disgusting but its a rental. I knew if I bought another Quantum I'd have to empty the canister several times each time I vacuumed.
To eliminate the flying dust problem, we should dump the dirt bin directly in the dumpster or household garbage bin outside. I know we all (including myself especially) get lazy, especially if the weather is bad, but our lungs will thank us for it later.
In assembling the powerhead to the body, it took some time -- it didn't just snap into place. Also, the powerhead roller didn't work. Contacted mfgr they said to send powerhead back. Hopefully they'll do the right thing!
Basically this is the upright version of a rainbow and I've had a rainbow for almost 25 years and it still works great and I still love it. What I like is that you can run it without vacuuming the floor and it will filter dust from the air in the room, you can also put some essential oils in it and benefit from that as well. anyway, thanks for the review, hope you like it.
Are you kiding me!!! I went by your review and ordered. We can’t even push it!!! 16# who could. ! Putting it together was a real hard time. It’s a monster! Took a full day to Rebox! Never again.
Still enjoying? Would like to see more use of extension pieces 🤔🤔 I have 2 long hair kitties. . Seem like I'm dumping canister every 5 minutes. Need a strainer to get hair and sand out so I don't have to run outside every time
Here's my review it's very heavy vacuum cleaner and every time you use it you have to clean out that nasty mess in the water filte. Which is OK because you're not blowing air around and getting everything dirty and dusty again. It's easy to take apart and clean out the tubes. There's a video out there that shows you how you can take the cleaning head off. But when my rollers wouldn't rotate and I cleaned them they said push the red button on the back of a powerhead to restart. Mine was not RED!!! it was a little black tab/square button that looked like just part of the machine. Took me forever trying to find a RED BUTTON (on the Quantum x vacuum) When I found this little black square I pushed it and the rollers started working. PS. The serious downside besides the fact that it's an extremely heavy vacuum cleaner you cannot wrap the cord around and the bag Has to just sit on the floor but the biggest issue is the fact that if you extend your cleaning wand completely out using all the attachments it does not suck very well at all. So when I use my cleaning wand to vacuum the hardwood floors to get back underneath the chairs and stuff I only use 2 extensions rather than 3. And within the 1st month of June using it the flexible cable that attach is the wand tore off and I had to tape it back on
Where do you empty the water, ? And the way it turned didn't like that, i bought one of these it just shipped, how often do you have to empty the water? Cuz most of my house is all carpet. So guess ill see, know one tells where they empty the water , i cant put it down the toilet cuz hair and crumbs would clog my toilet. So i guess outside? Good review, hope i like mine, im not into a bunch of attachments. We'll see!👍♥️♥️🤔
I always dumped it in the woods behind our house. I say dump(ed) because the ex got it in the divorce. Our main level was mostly hardwood so I could do that level with one tank. Only the bedrooms had carpet. If any more than that, I'd have to empty the canister half way thru. I have long hair, a cat and a dog (schnoodle so he doesn't shed much) and it would hold up to that.
Dee Holder This is similar to the Rainbow Vac which I’ve had for since 1982. I put on a latex or vinyl glove to scoop out any clumps of hair, then dispose in the trash can and pour the water into the toilet. Always store water tank separate from the vacuum unit so that it dries completely and no odor.
It is? Uh oh, mine is on its way, and i was worried about the weight and where to empty the water? And how often per each vacuum time? Uh oh, i have mostly all carpet and dont want a bunch of attachments? Eeks. Well i got it and it have all carpet and big house, finding it it very easy to use, i love it!
My gripe with this company is that I do not like their shady procedures. You cannot find out how much the unit actually costs until AFTER you have given them all your personal contact information. Any company who operates this way is manipulative and will never get my money. Would YOU give a stranger your full name, contact information and email address before you knew anything about them?? If you say "yes", then you deserve what you get.
Great review, this is the first I’ve heard of this vacuum and I’m 95% sold.

@@QuantumVac i have just ordered today. so many mixed reviews on lasting. i have 4 dogs, and turned down dyson and shark....lets see!
The tube in the tank can be removed to clean. I rinsed it out the same way. When dry can be put back together. The tube was so much easier to clean

like to see how that hose goes on.I can't get mine to go into the slot or hole

This review was so helpful, Shawn. I'm waiting for my QuantumX to be delivered. I look forward to a cleaner home in 2020!
