Owner of a Ravin R20 all grey. Very pleased with it except for the cranking click it makes while cocking. Didn’t mind it at first but then when I heard about the Ravin R500 I had to get it when available. Almost a year later around last month got the Ravin R500 sniper edition for $2980 a bit cheaper than the standard model non sniper edition. I knew I had to get it. When original price for sniper edition is $3400. I was able to purchase it for $2980 from optic planet. A couple of days later price for sniper edition was back to $3400. I don’t know if it was an error on there end or what but was please I got mine cheaper than standard edition. Been shooting it ever since till today and love the silent crank system. Waiting for electric drive to come out to put it in. Might just sell my Ravin R20 now.

Broken stock after first time used of it, Ravin replied they forgot to installed screw! What a carelessness!

A great looking bow! I have no doubt that it has a great trigger. When it first emerged I was laser focused on getting one.
That being said, after research I was scared of from it due to lots of credible reports of problems and malfunctions.

Nice crossbow, price tag is rediculos and it's heavy as hell.
I have 1 and u get what u pay for. Not saying the price isn’t high but I’m also guessing u have never shot 1. I have 6 different crossbows and there is a huge difference in everything. It don’t weigh anymore than any other crossbow

Ive seen videos of the electric cocking device and its nothing you would want to use hunting because its loud.
I work at bow shop everyone we sold has came back with limbs broke and strings flying off junk

Correct - Yes it now is the fastest bow
Every video I have seen on the 505 it don’t shot 505. The ravin was still shooting faster
@@TheRealCheckmate no it’s not a big deal. Don’t say it shoots 505 when it don’t unless u get a lighter bolt. My ravin 500 shot 508 out of the box. That’s what I’m saying.
505 can also accept different arrows, including heavier custom. I saw a gentleman shooting a 540 grain arrow at 465 fps.
That translates to 261 ft lbs and over 1.1 slugs!
I chose the 505 because of less problems with them.
Most of the time the 505’s are shooting a lot faster than 505 fps. Mine was at 521 fps.
