    Even though it's expensive to me, it's awesome that people that have disabilities can enjoy bow hunting as well. Definitely want to "draw" it back before going to area you are hunting.

    Nice product... looks good, seems to work well. Having the manual crank is great because the only real issue I see without actual use is the motor, it's a bit loud, could be an alarm when hunting, depending on the environment.

    • @mikedunn7795
      @mikedunn7795 Рік тому +4

      Yes,that sound would rule out a second shot,as the game would head for the hills when they heard it! I am surprised they would produce an electric drive that is that loud. The Excalibur Twinstrike would be a much better option for immediate second shots.

    If you put a better class of motor in it and made it draw faster, it would be faultless imo .Imagine a magazine attachment as well. Still a hell of tool.

    I like this crossbow, I really do, and the reason that I watched this video was to research it a bit more. I live in Texas, and we have a local WMA that has a special archery only hog season in which this (crossbows and other bows, in general) and air-powered arrow rifles would be legal as a means of take. The take is unlimited (naturally, since it is hogs we are talking about) so fast reloads and noise discipline are the limiting factors in the decision-making process as to whether or not to buy. With some arrow air rifles coming close to arrow speeds as this crossbow, the delay (for whatever reason that it was designed into this crossbow) is a deal breaker. I can reload my 405 fps crossbow or an arrow rifle at a much faster rate, and much, much quieter for both (there are now some double-barreled crossbows and arrow rifles that address the fast reload problem). Ravin has the noise and reload speed kinks to iron out before I pull the trigger on the purchase, but credit to their engineers, they have, again, designed a smoking fast crossbow.

      They're loud, But they're fast enough that they get there in time for it to not really matter. I only shoot the R29( 435) and it still beats their ears. It's certainly not quiet, But it just doesn't seem to matter. I've never had a deer go farther than 20-30 yards after the shot.

    • @weirdmood8102

      @@weirdmood8102 I’m talking about the cocking system, no doubt it’s faster than a deers ears but having it sound like a warn winch is a deal breaker !

      @@jeremylandphier692 oh yeah, I feel you there. I honestly wouldn't even want to crank that when I get out of the truck. I would probably have to crank the damn thing at the house and drive to the farm, which just doesn't sound very ideal.

    The disadvantage of R500E is that after each launch, you need to manually press & hold switch, move to the start position, change another switch, press & hold switch again, the string is pulled to full.

      Seems stupid. I don't own any crossbows but I just google electric crossbow (was watching some Jörg Sprave videos, not that this crossbow has anything to do with his videos), cause it seemed like a cool idea, quickly and quietly "reload" a crossbow. But it's extremely slow and extremely loud.

    Sighting in the R500 takes some time and cocking the X-bow with the hand crank can get very tiring very fast. I just ordered the automatic cocking motor. As to the noise issue mentioned in several of the commits, I would cock my X-bow where I park my truck (which makes way more noise then the cocking motor). This motor will be a welcome addition to my X-bow experience.😃🛻

    Good Lord could you get any louder? For the type of money I'm being asked to pay for this I wanted to work right now and very quietly. If I need to reload in a stand I need it to happen quiet. Anybody got any idea on why they can't figure this out? This would be a great tool if it was silent and I didn't have to wait 5 minutes to put it in reverse. Joking about the 5 minutes but it does look like it takes quite a long. This is supposed to be one of the world's premier weapons. It definitely should show it and how quiet it is.
