I want to get into digital FPV, and I‘ve been considering the Mini 3 Pro and Mini 4 Pro drones which can - with restrictions with regard to the version of the Goggles - and some tricks, be used as an FPV drone. However, since the launch of the Avata 2 it has now been whirring through my head for a few days now. In all probability I will go for the Avata 2 ; the only thing that bothers me about it is that weighs more than 250 grams which means some hassle with registration etc..🤷🏼♂️ One main factor however in deciding to go for the Avata 2 is its compatibility with the new Goggles 3, which seem to be light years better that the previous versions..👍👍👍
If you are serious about FPV, I recommend taking a look at this video: ua-cam.com/video/mHUPDJUTsxM/v-deo.html Mini 3 and 4 are not FPV drone, the FPV mode is not true FPV. Joshua Bardwell also a good source of FPV content. Take a look at your options before pulling the trigger thats what UA-cam is for. As for costs you can check this video out: ua-cam.com/video/EoZqZIXsmFA/v-deo.html
@@DimmyV Yep 👍 Thank you for confirming my thoughts : Avata 2 is the best option for me, as it is a „real“ FPV drone, and as I previously said, the Goggles 3 are a huge cut above the rest ! I really wanted such a drone weighing
@@zeejimi4044 my next video will be on goggles 3 as weather is shitty this weekend to fly. There’s some great sub250 drone options. The Cinelog25 with O3 air unit is good candidate and the Cinebot25. Though sub250 you have to learn about charging lipos which I have a video on and BetaFlight. It’s part of the FPV world if your are serious. I’m still testing the Avata 2. There’s pro and cons.
@@DimmyV In this video ua-cam.com/video/L71ey-1B-OE/v-deo.htmlsi=mQYbxhItMUhk1zRF a guy is flying FPV using the Mini 4 Pro, the Goggles 3, and the RC2 „stick“ controller. This is the set-up that I was hoping would work because it is digital-FPV with Goggles 3 under 250g, that is, without the hassle. Now however, the Avata 2 has been launched and now I‘m in two minds as to how to proceed..🤷🏼♂️🛫😳
For me it wiggles around wayyy too much in flight for "smooth footage", especially with the motion controller. I hope they will release a fw update with good flight controller tuning. Maybe even tunes for several occasions, like "windy tune" "freestyle tune" (for the fpv controller) "cinema tune" etc... You reading with us, DJI? ;-) Thanks Demetrios!
I’m a bit behind with some clips but I do have some footage from yesterday was which was awesome. It’s on my Instagram stories atm. Need to make it into a short. Glad I’m not the only one to notice the jitters.
Hello dimmy,,. I flying avata 2 from last few days and trouble to fix it’s RTH, I know it is updated automatically but my avata 2 is giving me trouble, 3 times drone performed emergency landing even there was good signal conditions were good everything was okay but still did this and I faced difficulties to find it. Can you please explain RTH feature ASAP bcoz I was too disappointed with the fear of losing my drone and I didn’t like it’s RTH as a result I decide to return this
The challange to hover in place might be caused by something else than gimbal, as gimbal stays „locked” in manual mode, but yeah I also find it difficult to hover in place sometimes and I wonder why 😅
I may need to double check this but I definitely think there’s interference. I have no problem to hover with Cinelog25. I know in low light the sensors panic then Avata 2 does more weird stuff. Also ground effect 😅
That’s something I played around with recently this week. If the weather holds I can make the follow up video otherwise I’ll have to pivot until we have better flying day. Thanks for watching and the comment. Happy Friday 🍻

You can adjust the speed in settings

Well done😊
Thanks 📸
do you think a single battery is enough?
No, because you will have so much fun that you would regret not getting the fly more in first place. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
The Avata 2 also has 46GB internal storage but this will fill up very quick so I recommend getting a memory card
Lexar Micro SD Card - amzn.to/3H6t041
There are other cheaper SD cards
@@abricot68 There are but I can't recommend something that may potentially be lesser quality or slower in speed.
