How do we record the screen for goggles 3 itself before connecting to the drone and or before flying?
Easiest way is to connect phone and screen record.
It would be cool if we could mirror either a pc screen or a phone screen into the goggles so that we could play Sims through the goggles I feel that would help a lot with practicing manual mode.
Yes. Ideally would love to just connect to phone via the app and fly with the controller.

When I'm taking off around a lot of people and also landing, it will be nice to use the pass through to make sure I'm clear of people and objects. We will see ?
Yes that’s a useful feature though I still wish it was implemented better with wider field of view
The one point I did not mention that I thought of after I shot the video is the ability to play the DJI sim by just plugging in your phone to the goggles. That way we won't need to be by a computer and have the Goggles experience.
Id love it if it was compatible with other sims too. @dji can we get a firmware update for this to work.

The v2 are compatible with O3, we are just waiting for Goggles 3 to be compatible with O3.

Can anyone help me. I have 1 Extreme Pro microSD Card. The sd card can be seen on the Avata 2 but not seen when i insert it to the Goggles 3.
Does it not work if it is just inserted in the Goggles 3. Do I need 2 sd cards at the same time?
Interesting, have you tried switch the cards from Avata 2 with goggles and see if it’s a faulty card?
You can use 2 SD cards. One will film from Avata 2 the other will record Goggles OSD
@@DimmyV I dont think it's a faulty card since it works perfectly fine when it's inserted to the Avata 2.
@@andre785 try another card in Goggles 3, maybe they have a fault. Or try reformatting the card

What are you trying to calibrate? The controller?
Would you say goggles 3 o4 is worth upgrading from the integras 03+? I intend to fly the Air 3 with integra. Haven't opened the Integra goggles yet...
If you just bought them then yeah take them back get a refund and get the Googles 3. If you can’t don’t stress. There’s no firmware yet for backward compatibility we’re still waiting on that.
@@DimmyV for the sake of o4? I don't fully understand. Firmware for the integra to be fully compatible with air 3 or goggles 3 to be updated for full compatibility with Air 3? And again, Only reason I can think of an upgrade is the O4 transmission, if that really makes a difference in connectivity? What other benifit is there with O4? Range, transmision data (not video quality?), stability of connectivity. What else?

Really annoyed me after buying the Avata 2 that the goggles didn’t work with a simulator
I noticed that while you were going through all the settings in the Goggles 3 you weren’t connected to a controller.
If I am flying my Air 3 drone using my RC 2 controller may I have all my settings that are already in the RC 2 and use them or do I have to reset them all in the Goggles 3?

Please help anybody....Im brand new to FTV, I fly RC fixed wing aircraft in New Zealand. I just ordered DJI goggles 3 WITH runcam wasp and link. I am getting a bit concerned these may not be compatible, since I cant find a single video using this system on youtube.
Has anybody tried these things together?
Goggles 3 currently not compatible with runcam. DJI have not given us a firmware update to allow this yet

First video I have seen that says it works with Controller 2
My apologies this may be an error on my part. Because the way the controller connects to the Goggles. Controller 3 is a Bluetooth connection to goggles 3 which connects to drone. The Googles 2 and controller 2 independently connect to drone. Unless there’s a firmware update I don’t believe the googles 2 can work with goggles 3. I hope you can prove me wrong.

Are you referring to flying a regular Mavic drone or FPV?
@@DimmyV mini pro 4, i saw if you turn goggles off it reverts back to controller, I cannot pair my goggles so far I can only fly with RC, i cannot load fly ap on s23 as it says the app is for older android, installed on ipad, software run but cannot pair with drone.

@@DimmyV nope lol I try using ipad, first thing, if you dont use cable from goggles nothing will work at all, next I powered controller to see if it made difference, it did firmware upgrade, then at least i could fly with rc. Re tried goggles pairing, this time after restart of the fly ap it said firmware needs updating, which took 10 minutes, then restarted ap and devices and now it said register goggles which I did , then it said pro 4 wishes to join the network so I did that and so thought now it would work, but, nope goggles still constant beeping and timeout after 60 seconds, can see in goggles connecting to pro 4 but times out. Then ap sayd ensure device is powered on and in pair mode. I presume this is done b the power on and hold 3 secs for the beep. Did all this and goggles still wont pair !! WIll try DJI forum

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι όλα είναι ενεργοποιημένα, κρατήστε πατημένο το κουμπί λειτουργίας στο Goggles για 5 δευτερόλεπτα και στη συνέχεια το RC3 για 5 δευτερόλεπτα. Όταν σταματήσει το ηχητικό σήμα, θα πρέπει να συνδεθούν. Πρέπει να κάνετε το ίδιο με το Avata 2 και το RC3. Για να ενημερώσετε το υλικολογισμικό, όλα πρέπει να είναι συνδεδεμένα και το τηλέφωνο να είναι συνδεδεμένο στο Goggles.
@@DimmyV Καλημέρα Δημήτρη,τελικά κατάφερα να τα κάνω λινκ με το RC2 και το AIR3.Αυτό που δεν έχω καταφέρει ακόμα είναι το live view.Οσο και να χτυπαω με τα δάχτυλα στην δεξια πλευρά των googles,δεν μπορω να δω μπροστα μου....

Γεια σου Άκη, το Goggles 3 συνοδεύεται από προσαρμογείς και μπορείς να κάνεις προσαρμογές στην όρασή σου χρησιμοποιώντας τα χειριστήρια από κάτω.

dji is NOT stopid. They know what they are doing, and they do make the headset camera worse by design. So they can improve it next year again and sell again more.

How can I recentre or trim the view when using head tracking between my Mini 4 pro and Goggles 3+RC Motion 3? I'm finding that the camera is pointing too far down when my head is level and I'm having to look too far up to compensate. The side to side is also slightly off. I've recalibrated the Goggles IMU and M4P camera gimbal but it makes no difference. Really there needs to be a mechanism to recentre or trim the camera to personal preference. I had thought the RC Motion 3 scroll wheel might act as a trim but no. Any thoughts? I've been through all the settings I can find.
Very interesting, this was a test for me but next time I fly outside I’ll have a look. I’m planning on an indoor video next
@@DimmyV Thanks. I think a demo is needed on the best way to calibrate the Goggles IMU. I tried it yesterday with the goggles on my head (apart from the last orientation which is upside down). I think that has helped my issue but ability to "trim" the camera is what's really needed. The obvious way to achieve that is with the RC Motion 3 scroll wheel if DJI can implement that.

It has built in adjustments so you just need to use the knobs underneath to adjust to your vision.
How long does the Goggles, take to charge? I've been charging them for over two hours, with a 20w charger. I have a 65w charger charging my Avata 2 batteries, & 2 are already fully charged & the 3rd one is halfway done. I thought the Goggles would have taken less time, I still need to charge my Motion 3 controller. It doesn't seem to take this long, to charge my Goggles Integra.
Interesting, that seems defective as per your description. Have you turned them on to check the battery level and see if they hold charge? Try updating the firmware.
@DimmyV They charged up & work ok, with a 20w charger, they took about 2 & half hour's. The batteries for the Avata 2 took about 48 minutes each.
Wishlist.... A Good aftermarket face pad/foam.
I actually find these really comfortable. The surrounding pad isn’t needed as it rests on forehead rather than face. Way more comfortable than v2. I’m glad the googles 3 can use O3 now. I need to update my mark 5 to try
Great video thank you! Bit confused about max flight distance, I know re the height in UK set to 400ft but what should we set max flight distance to please? Unlimited?
Height and distance are both different. Distance should be within Visual Line of Sight but outside of cities you can likely fly further as less obstacles and interference. Max height would be 400ft but again there’s ways you can fly higher within regulations each vary per jurisdiction.

Good question. I didn’t get a chance to m include but I have done in my upcoming video. Essentially it’s your downward sensors telling you how close you are to the ground.

Does any other non dji drones work with the googles 3? I'm learning to fly manual and would like to learn on a cheaper drone first, since I know it's going to end poorly the first few flights. I'm a few hours into liftoff simulator and still pretty rough.
At the moment no. Eventually I imagine there will be a firmware update. You probably better off with Goggles 2 atm. If you wanted a cheaper quad I recommend a Tinywhoop kit. The BetaFlight Cetus x or the Emax TinyHawk 2 are good options. Keep practicing in the sim. Even when you’re flying in real life rainy days when you want to fly sim is a good way to hone your skills
@DimmyV Would it be correct to assume if the googles 3 only currently works with DJI products, the RC3 is the same until a future firmware update also?
@scoobydew420 yeah for now. I’m literally waiting myself so I can use it with the GEPRC Mark 5 which is the O3 air unit. Also would like compatibility with RunCam Wasp. Just a waiting game 🫖

Hello I need help🤚 the goggles screen says that the headset is not connected but i am stuck here because the 5d button has no effect. Do you know what to do?
You need to sync the drone to Goggles with both devices on hold the power button on goggles first for 5s till it starts beeping. Then hold the power button on drone for 5s until it starts beeping. When the beeping stops they should be synced. You will need to do same between with Goggles and Controller after.
@@DimmyV thank you for your answer. M'y problème is that is impossible to exit of the window "the helmet is Not connected limited fonction" because the 5d Button has no effect. I Turned Off and on but nothing change.

I got my Avata 2 today and the weather is terrible here too. So I thought I'd take the time to research all of the menus. Thanks for the guide!
When I have bad weather sometimes I vacuum and mop the floors, then dry them by cruising around the house with my drones 😂
