I’m new to the pcp world just purchased a air venturi avenger ! I’ve been trying to get a straight answer from Facebook groups nobody really seams to wanna help the newcomer!! But this my friend answered all my cleaning an maintenance questions!! Thanks brothers I’ll be subscribing to the channel!!! 🤘🏻
Thank you for the very informative video! I'm anal about keeping my powder guns clean and lubed properly. But I'm a newbie to pcp guns. My first pcp is on its way to me as I'm typing this comment. Got an Air Force Escape, and looking forward to cleaning it and getting it tuned... Thank you for the video!
Thanx John, and nice to see another Harley aficionado who shoots air. I'm a bit new last year to air, and I'd guessed at silicone into the breeches of the pistols or fill port of my pcp which you confirmed as correct. Whew! Also just got a breakbarrel repeater and I'm in love!
Great info. I just got my first PCP- A 25 cal Hatsan Vectis. Someone suggested using R/C Shock oil for the silicone oil. Have you heard of this? The manufacturer, TLR Racing, just says "silicone oil" and doesn't state if there's any other additives.
So I heard this logic. Pellet guns don't need cleaned as the lead pellet lines the barrel filling imperfections over time. Since no powder is burned nothing else is left behind. The barrel will actually seal around the pellet better with the small amount lead in the barrel over a perfectly clean one This was why it takes a few hundred rounds to "break in an airgun"... the gun will be more accurate supposedly with theory due to the lead coating. Now he said you may need to clean some guns overtime and obviously lube it where need be. Truly I heard that from a huge old airgun shooter.
@@abitoutside I clean mine after a few hundred thrown out of them. Just was kinda trying to see if you heard that. I think Macabee doesn't clean his... always struck me as odd.
I don't bother paying extra money for the aerosol Ballistol. I just drip some on the gun and coat it with my index finger. The stuff is dermatologically tested and it doesn't get absorbed by a cloth.
Good morning. What is the reference of your super Lube product, is it 51004? I also want to put 1 to 2 drops through the fill probe of my PCP for internal lubrication as a preventive measure. I also have krytox GPL105 certified BAM and nsf h1 non-flammable / non-combustible, based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE). plastic and o-rings compatible. Could this do the trick too? But very very expensive compared to super Lube and very little in my bottle!. Thank you in advance friend.
Why this response? I'm just asking for advice on lubricating the internals of my PCP as you don't explain in your video?!. I've never done this before and I don't want to make a mistake. Hence my question about your super Lube, or the krytox gpl105 that I have in my garage. In addition, the super Lube 51004 multi purpose synthetic oil, is ptfe like krytox gpl105, but I seem to be annoying you, sorry.
Not annoying, buddy, just a question that is a higher level than my pay grade. Sorry, I don't know the answer to it. Just know what works for me. The laughing was not intended to offend u.

I have heard the same thing from many old timers, but they are wrong... it is ok to be wrong :)

No problem 👌
Can the Ballistoil be sprayed inside the barrel?
Yes, but to much is not always a good thing
@@abitoutside OK cool
If youre so particular about breech to muzzle cleaning shouldnt you also clean the gun upside down to keep the cleaner from getting inside the breech?
No
