    Wish they would;
    1) Take Shadow of Death off the GCD
    or
    2) Make Enshroud apply Death's Design
    or
    3) Just make Death's design 60 by default
    This spell has always made RPR feel bad. Such an awkward DOT to apply.

      I agree, but I’ve found that it feels good to press prior to enshroud because enshroud is OGCD

    I honestly the best QoL RPR is to put death's design onto the avatar attacks and get rid of the two buttons. That would make the class feel much more streamlined with consistent flow of actions rather than awkwardly place the debuff if it falls out during a combo. Another thing they could use is not to lose their avatar follow-up skills if they use another ability. RPR is a really fun job design wise, but as of now it has way too many feels bad moments compared to other jobs.

      I mean thats basically what they have done with VPR (both original version with putting debuff on target(s) and after the patch putting the buff onto the VPR themself. Feels kinda weird that they did that with VPR but then have RPR still stuck with 2 buttons both doing only small damage and on GCD.

    Have not gotten around to getting new expansion yet but as someone who does mains reaper its nice to know that it got some QoL and some other stuff

    Been maining Reaper since it came out and it feels pretty good right now. Picked up Viper and I love that class too. Hard to decide what I want to play more.

    my only issue with reaper now is the 30 second combo timer isn't long enough anymore

      Right I HATE the changes because of this. They take a timer off dragoon and give one to reaper? Ugh

    I wish they would do something different with Death's Design and put the debuff somehow into their standard rotation like every other job. I always feel weird when they take things away from a job and put them into a new one. For example having a button to press that is not part of the rotation but gives you a buff was a thing dragoon had that they tied into their rotation and then gave it to reaper in the form of a debuff instead of buff or something like the old machinist had an ammo system that would guarantee their 123 combo would proc otherwise it was a 50% chance to proc the other and they took that away completely but then come out with DNC that makes their entire thing what they took away from MCH because people didn't like it.

      @@PishiRose true, it is a bit cumbersome on RPR. On DRG it worked really well with their combo because of the length of them. You would go Heavy Thrust > Chaos thrust combo > Phlebotomize > True Thrust combo and by the time that was done it aligned to be time to start with the Heavy Thrust again. It flowed nice without trouble like that for me.
      On RPR I usually do it by keeping an eye on the timer of (dang how are the skills called again for the instant avatar attacks?) as those two usually are used together. It is just annoying that I haven't found something similar to what I had on Dragoon yet and eyeball my hotbars all the time because of it.

      I think it would be cool if they just added dot dmg to it along with what it already does

      I don't mind it as much. It gives a sense of urgency, right? "I need to keep DD on to maximize dmg." (I'm probably in the minority, but I do feel DT monk is feels empty without having to keep a buff or dot up.) But it's DD's timing is inconvenient. A ffix I'd love to test/see is Enshroud giving 15 seconds of DD. At least enough to make it through the burst without DD dropping.

    You didn't mention the biggest issue with reaper, it was already gauge negative in ew, with full uptime you could odd minute till post 10 minutes where after that you wouldn't have enough gauge.
    In dawntrail, thanks to perfectio being a gcd that doesn't add gauge, at the bis sks of 2.49 if you have 1 gcd of downtime you cant odd minute enshroud post 6 minutes, and with perfect uptime post 8 minutes.
    Perfectio really fked up the job and imho it should give 20 gauge. It would fix the whole job.
    Did this tier as vpr on main abd rpr on both my alts, harpe giving gauge helps, but it isn't enough.

      definitely can see your point, i think its cause we are playing the job different to what was intended tbh, it feels like they wanted to move away from double enshroud window but its still higher dps

    hi , may i know why you delay the second enshroud after gluttony combo?
    is there any specific reason ? i normally after gluttony combo > enshroud.

    I think this might the best state the Melee Jobs have been in probably ever.
    RPR and NIN were already really good, but got excellent QoL and just more stuff to hit
    DRG rework kept the "OGCD priority madness" that i and i imagine alot of people really enjoyed, but fixed basically all the huge drifting issues
    SAM is the best its been in a long time, finally feels it "escaped" the post-Kaiten despair era
    And then MNK is probably the best its ever been, feels good, flows well, fun as hell, and actually feels like Monk
    It says a lot when i think the least interesting melee is the Viper lmao Viper is cool, just very simple but high APM

      I am inclined to agree. So far no melee job has disappointed me. I am unsure about Samurai because I feel like Samurai went downhill since after SHB, but Im gonna level it before judging it!

      @@HiImFox Aside from Tendo iajutsu being a longer recast, which they already said they were gonna change, SAM feels odd at first, but i think it flows way better
      More to spend Kenki on, Doubles being set to Meikyo is odd at first, but it adds more structure to their rotation, where youre doing 2 Double, then 1 at odd minutes, ect repeat
      You basically treat it the way you would perfect balance, and it syncs up with the 60s Senei and DoT refresh, so its really smooth imo

    Reaper is perfect for those that don't want the super busy double and triple oGCD weaving of viper and dragoon or even ninja.

      That theory goes down the drain with Enshroud reducing the cooldown of GCDs to 1.5s and requiring you to weave anything in between. It's the same problem Machinist has and it's mechanic.

      ​@@Hasedielyou can only weave one ogcd in between though. Like you said similar to machinist. That actually feels less busy than 2 ogcd weaving especially when you are just alternating the same buttons.
