its firmly between blue and green (74% green 82% blue or something in the hexcode) and on my main monitor it just looks that little more teal-greenish but it pretty much is smack bang in the middle let the green vs blue wars commence (both are technically correct but blue probably is the more correct term at the end of the day)
Wow you've managed to perfectly sum up what I love about Reaper into a tightly knit video! Played this job every raid tier since EW released and cleared 4/5 of the ultimates on it! (On P6 of TOP as I type this) Love your vids man, hope to see more in the future!
This was awesome for someone who's just trying to see if this is a class worth picking up and getting a general idea of what rotations will actually look and feel like without overwhelming me with combo strings and stuff. Nice vid. Make dragoon video for dawntrail or also bard for makin some sick tunes
Reaper is one of my favorite classes and my main as well. Its pretty easy melee class that is straightforward. Aside from the position requirements to maximize two of the enhanced reaper abilities
As a Reaper main, I didn't learn anything new from this video, but I hope it inspires others to give the job a shot, it's a lot of fun. I used to be a Dragoon main during Shadowbringers, but Reaper managed to win me over with how much better it all clicked in my head. Dragoon is a busy class, having to constantly maintain Power Surge and the Chaotic Spring DoT, along with all of its meters and OGCD abilities became a bit tiring for me. Reaper felt like a breath of fresh air, it felt more intuitive for me. I still feel like I have some things to learn with Reaper and that I haven't quite fully mastered it yet, but I even still I think I am performing so much better as a Reaper than I ever did as a Dragoon.
The goal of this video (and if I make any other ones for other jobs) isn't to be an information dense "GUIDE" for Reaper, it's definitely what you said - a way to show a brief overview of the job and lay down the fundamentals that will hopefully inspire people to give it a try. I'm of the belief that a 30 minute deep dive into how to TRULY play Reaper would be far too much for most people to digest so I'd rather just set them on the path themselves to learning. And I 100% agree about Dragoon, it just feels too bloated rn and I'm praying that the Dawntrail iteration is amazing so I can go back to playing it again!
Noted, I thought the rotation might be too information dense for someone looking to pick up Reaper because its broken up into like 3 separate parts (Opener, 1 minute, 2 minute) and would require probably like 5 minutes on its own. I'll see if I can add in something that would work though next time
Reaper was confusing to me at first. I wasn’t used to skills changing into other skills so much. Once I watched a guide video on it though, it became pretty easy. Reaper probably the easiest of the melee classes to master. Dragoon has too many weaves, Ninja got that explosive opener you gotta get in the right order, monk cannot be optimized without really damn good hardware, and samurai…well Samurai is pretty easy too once you get the hang of Hagakure loops
Reaper is available at level 70 (Current cap is 90) and you have to own Endwalker (Current expansion), so just be warned it isn't a class you can pick up right away, but; I thought I hated all MMO's until I played FFXIV, first few expansions are a little mundane/slow but if you can stick it out for a few weeks and immerse yourself I guarantee you'll have an amazing time. Also a free trial up til Stormblood which is literally hundreds of hours guaranteed for free!
I wanna level up my Reaper so bad, but I am trying to main Viper this expansion. This was a mistake! Reaper has some utility that makes it slightly more useful than Viper. Also Enshroud and Awakening are basically the same, but I prefer Enshroud due to muscle memory. Wait for me my Reaper as I shall return to you my beloved!
@@ryaiart I'm at the post heavensward quest the one where you finish fighting nidhogg so maybe once I get into storm blood, shadow and endwalker I might have more dungeons to do rpr with
The outfits I'm using? The main one is a mix of some stuff but mainly the Panthean Fending Armour from the first Endwalker Alliance raid, the Reaper one a little later on is also a mix but the Chest piece is from the third alliance raids, and the weapons I use are from The Omega Protocol (Ultimate)
Brother, World of Warcraft has Draenei, Worgen, Pandaren, Dracthyr and Vulpera's (that im aware of as a non-WoW player) - your game is full of infinitely more furries than FFXIV ever has been. Maybe you're secretly harbouring a desire to be surrounded by furries, it's ok, you can admit it!

I'm gonna pick up Dragoon in Dawntrail for sure so I will!!!!!
This video really sold me on reaper. Can’t wait to get to endwalker to pick up this class as my main!

Enjoyed the video but it would have been helpful after you explained what the abilities did you showed the rotation in action.

RPR and WAR are the 2 jobs I can play instinctively. Others I actually have to think about and spend way too much time staring at my hotbars with.

i really want to learn it but Im gonna hold off for DT at this point, and I'm glad you liked the vid :D
@ryaiart It's pretty fun once ya got it down, plus the backflips aren't required but fun as hell lol.

Why release a reaper guide right before job changes were coming?
