Ok, this one took a while.
Hopefully everyone enjoys it. This will be my last Elden Ring video for a while. Time to enjoy space marine 2 lol
don't forget to like and subscribe!!
Edit: Also, make sure to leave it in the comments which fighting force do you believe is the best and why, I would love to hear your opinions on it
Edit 2: This video is not a tier list, although I have my pic for "the best" keep in mind that in war anything goes, Morgot beat Radahn after all. So just to keep clear once again, this is not a "top 7" video or a "tier list" video, but an analyses of the best soldiers the demigods could provide and how truly dangerous and effective they are.

Damn 😭 I thought this was gonna be a video exploring the actual armies like how Mohg has the surgeons, sanguine nobles and the bloody fingers that as a whole form his army. But it's just the 7 best knights 😂 good vid but you kinda got me

Sry, I did not intended to clickbait. But the reason I did not go "that deep" in exploring the armies was because it would feel too speculative and prone to head cannon. But, knightly orders are still armies if they are given enough numbers and if they are intended for military purposes. Also, glad you enjoy it 😁

Thanks, I really appreciate it. TBF, at this point I kinda gave up on fighting the algorithm, I'm just making theses vids because it's surprisingly enjoyable to do it.

Great video, really entertaining! Apologies for the lengthy explanation, but I thought it was important to cover these points. You mentioned that rot can defeat anyone given enough time, but I think it’s not as unstoppable as it seems. In our world, rot might be deadly, but in the Lands Between, with so much magic-like Carian sorcery, incantations, and dragon spells-it’s just a matter of time until a cure is found. Even Death Blight, which seems incurable, has an incantation that can counter it.
Mages and scholars in Elden Ring can heal various ailments, and Radahn's Redmane army eventually developed ways to combat the rot. However, the reason Radahn and his forces couldn’t stop the rot in Caelid initially is likely because it was something new during their battle with Malenia. By the time we arrive, they’ve found some solutions, but the battle was so brutal and resource-draining that his army was left severely weakened. The heavy losses and resource shortages could explain their struggle to recover from the rot.
As for Radahn himself, the rot he faced was probably too overwhelming for any healing incantation to fully reverse. His immense will to fight is the only thing keeping him going, despite his body and spirit being nearly broken.

Glad you liked mate. And keep the lengthy explanations coming, I love talking about these things.
But I agree with your points, the rot is not that unstoppable, its just that my point is the fact that to deal with a very skilled and effective elite fighting force while trying to remedy the effects of an aggressive ailment would be difficult to pull off for whoever they besiege.
The magic of the lands between is very diverse but I wonder how truly effective, in lore, they truly are against the ailment of an outergod.
We also must consider the morale of the soldiers, because they are the ones taking the brunt of the cleanrots.
I mean, I'm still impressed that Radahn, THE RADAHN, could not deal with it. And Radahn was lucky for having one the very best armies of the land, excellent soldiers.
Yes, the lands between have ways of dealing with the rot, but they don't seem to be permanent. So I wonder how even the best healers of Leyndell would deal with it.
Since the cleanrots never attacked Leyndell we will never know😕
And the redmanes were also nuked by Malenia herself, they REALLY drew the short end of the stick with that one.

I would change the night's cavalry for the carian knights since they are very few and select and they also helped repell the golden host of the erdtree during
the liurnian wars. Despite that minor tweak, great list and content, keep it up!

Good point! I left them out because they did not serve a demigod but the Liurnian wars was an oversight on my part. Well done!

I hope more people see it too, but to be honest...
I kinda just gave up on beating the algorithm at this point. I'm just making these because I like it .

I wonder where you would rank godwyn’s death knights, seeing how crazy they are in the DLC

    • @DISCOUNTRUSSIAN
      @DISCOUNTRUSSIAN  9 годин тому

As individual fighters, very high. Possibly higher than the crucible knights. But there's only three of them so calling them an army kinda felt like I was lying so...

Haven't watched yet but if Messmer's army isn't number one this list is just wrong. It's him during the Crusades and Godwyn during the War of Ancient Dragons who most liekly have the biggest and most terrifying armies not led by either Godfrey, Rennala or Radagon.
Okay so I guess I thought that you were assessing each major faction's military overall not just the knights. Here's a comment for the algorithm at least.

Thanks for helping with the algorithm.
Yeah, this is not a top tier list or a ranking per say. War is far too nuanced for that so I stuck with the elite soldiers the demigods could provide since they are the ones that have most to show, lore-wise.
