P0128 is the thermostat stuck in most cases. if the upper radiator hose is warm or luke warm after running the truck, it's most likely the thermostat stuck open. P0118 is the temp sensor going bad/is bad.
@@Honkytaco No problem. It is very DIY. But I will say it doesn’t hurt to change the thermostat while you’re there. You’ll have to refill some coolant either way and mine ended up being the thermostat instead of the sensor. I think I have a video on it also.
@@claudiaduke6189 it ended up being my thermostat. I knew it would be one of those to start with i just figured I’d try the sensor first since it was cheaper, easier, and I knew someone else who had similar issues that turned out to be the sensor.
When your driving on the freeway or going downhill and your off the gas the truck goes to v4 which produces less heat ans that's the reason the temp goes down it's normal for it to do that I'm running a mishimoto thermostat which makes truck run more cooler
You can also un unhook your battery when you change it. And I have a 15” mines always ran at 210

i had the same issue with my 2015 tahoe i replaced that sensor
