Hey Jengar, nice vid but here a tip for your performance.
-Play more with throttle instead of always 100% power in a dogfight. If you cut throttle and use flaps at @6:14 you easily get him.
And some more analysis:
@1:11 flaps to cut into 190 his 6
@5:00 flaps for lift to stall him out
@5:11 cut throttle to get on his 6
and WEP less in safe situations so you have the WEP when you need it. At @8:04 you say it's not a problem but it *IS* a problem because at @9:50 your engine is yellow and you don't have the performance you need
i think i adressed the lack of using flaps, first fly out in it since over a year, right after flying the fw 190 A-4. I was just dipping my toes in the water. But thanks for the feedback.
I hope they introduce the P-51B soon. Same general look as this one, but with .50 cals and a Merlin engine.

This plane is brutal. I've found it to be extremely good if you shallow climb and rush the enemy. Keeping your speed up.
Btw your aim this game was disastrous xd

I love it.. i always sideclimb with this and at higher altitude this is a gem.. pretty basic at US tier, but lots of fun when everything will turn out right. Really enjoying your videos, thanks!

Here’s a tip for turning in a P51. When dealing with Nutzies You should turn fight against the Fw190, but not the Bf109.
When dealing with Commies It’s very risky to turn against a La5 because it depends on the model. Don’t turn with Yaks, but the I-185 on the other hand is not good at turning.
When you want pasta the C202 is equal to the P51, but the C205 is better at circles. However you should make tighter circles than the G55.
When facing Pewdiepie fans you should be slightly better at turning since Swedish planes are weird.

Got two aces with this bad boy yesterday. Awesome plane. Glad they fixed the Hisparkos. Literally one click, a wing comes off an enemy. It's hilarious!!!

They were right in a way, but the points they adressed, aim and flap usage, i adressed that in my commentary ;) As it was my first match after flying the FW 190 A-4 :) so i dont think they listened well. So the points are correct, i already knew that though when i was flying that match ;)

Took 24 hours but I finally unlocked this thing. Now for mods and learning how to conserve ammo better
Actually on that first 109 u killed , u should lead further and fire maybe 2 bursts and he will be gone 100%
true that, my aim was still in mg 151 modus.
Britain got these and didn't like them. So they put spitfire engines in them, and that is the p51 we all hear about.

Guy in the 219 was goood, a well - deserved shout for him mate! I got mixed feelings about this Mustang... good game though.
He was indeed good, and i didnt use the mustang in its best role here, also my aim was crap as this was my first match in it after the fw 190 a-4 ;) but i think it was still entertaining :)

I have a hard time with this p51. It is not spaded atm. When I try to get chances on an enemy using throttle and flaps, I loose speed and keeping speed in this low hp/weight ratio is sometimes a challenge.

Jengar will tell you He is a jack of all, master of none, He has said it many times. The guys giving Him tips are the guys who fly the P51 a Lot, and they are right in what they are telling Him.
Ok. Nobody is perfect. Jengar is one of the best in my opinion. When I try to fly the p51, in my humble experience, I find that I get in tricky situations when doing actions that bleed the plane speed. I think he did alright in this clip and he doesn't need tips. That is my opinion mate.

Yes I understand. This is my point of view and I dont know these people. Some are specialized in some particular planes and have mastered them. If these guys done so, that is great.
I am learning to fly different planes and I learn a lot in watching Jengar's videos. I would be interested in seeing these guys flying the p51. It is a plane I have a hard time with.
They are definitely right with their tips, only thing is that i knew i was not aiming correctly and adressed it in my commentary, i also knew i didnt use the flaps enough, and i also adressed that in the commentary ;) i still got the tips though, and that is fine, it doesnt bother me. This was my first match in the p-51 after flying the Fw 190 A-4. Whcih guns need more lead, i was leading too much in this match, as the hispano's require less lead due to their velocity. It's very hard to correct your aim inside of one match though when you jump into another plane with different guns. Usually takes a few matches to shake the musclememory you build up on the last plane ;) And for flap usage i also often dont use a lot of flaps in the first match as im getting a feel for the plane, i usually test the flaps in the 2nd match. Thats just the way i approach it, as i often dont get more then 5-8 matches in a plane before i make the review. In that sense Korgeth is right, im a jack of all planes, but master of very few ;) I've mastered adjusting to a new plane very quickly though, and getting a general feel for it, sometimes in as little as 5 matches and about 15-20 kills. But the knowledge i can share then isnt as detailed as a guy who flew out a particular plane hundreds of times with close to a thousand kills in it. It doesnt happen a lot though that my first match in a plane after a plane jump for a new vid was so interesting though, so i decided to show it with the flaws in my flying which i had already identified and commented on. Anyways, its the way of the youtuber. Cant stick with a plane for too long ;)
The Mustang Mk1A in the british tree is a beast, and the P51 is almost a copy of the FM. but those 4*20mm hispano MkII just kill what you shoot at, then obliterates the enemies. Solid plane
Dennis Van Der Wijst Agree, this thing and my trusty Tiffy has claimed many filthy BV scrubbers. Although for preference, do you like Typhoon or P-51 more?
the P51, I cant stand the Typhoons rollrate, which is not quite that amazing, but the guns are lovely! You cant go wrong with the 4 hispanos :))
As a long time Typhoon pilots since 20-tier time, I might be biased toward old Tiffies though. P-51 is an excellent BnZ but its climb rate and flight style are a bit too conservative for my liking. Also flying 20mms P-51 for a long time might give folks some shocks when switching to .50 ones.
yeah...the P51D with the .50 are great planes in performance. The guns work as well but require many more shots on target in order to take it out of the match. I prefer the 20mm over the .50 any day, with good aim 500 shells can go a long way, an ace match and 10 ground kills far :)
Hispano's run out of ammo really quick but you have to be trigger patient
If only this plane's gun won't jammed every 2 seconds it's a pretty decent aircraft
love this plane another gr8 vid. when engaging the He think you should of done a high yo-yo instead of a flat turn
i did a few times, but you do need to have enough energy for that, while not stalling out to open a good shot for one of those other planes :)

The Hispanos jam very easily, when stock. I got screwed a few times, when I had enemy lined up in front of me but my guns were jammed.

Sometimes it feels like Gaijin want to bring reality when it comes to certain nations. And for other nations it says "Hey it's a game". Like spitfires overheating, "hey, that's realistic". Rusian APHE nuke ammo goes through angled armor like butter while British APDS bounces off on an slightly angled OP Russian turret.

How are your controls set up? I think I heard you talk about using a mouse, am I wrong? How do you track the target and still control the plane so reliably? Mouse view and keyboard control?
yes, press c activate camera and then take over camera control with the mouse and fly with the keyboard :)
You'll do worst at first, get killed more and crash into the ground at least a few times ;) but then, slowly but surely, as you persist doing it, it becomes second nature, and you'll have learned a new trick to ad to your arsenal :)
How to play with americans? In documentries they say the p-51 turns better than a me109

You did not use flaps and engine thrust. It is vital in this plane, it maneuvers well enough then.
thats true, in the first match i fly a plane i am always a bit carefull with the flaps, although i use it twice in the vid, usually that use goes up in the 2nd and third match, throttle use was just poor in this match, it was my first match of the day, the baby was crying behind me and i was far from my zone. Still i thought it was the most entertaining match of that day with the 1vs3 while being hunted at the same time. And its good to show my less then optimal matches now and then as well, so ppl know im just human.
7:49 Try manual engine controls instead; set prop pitch and radiator to 100% and you're fine, it's almost like with the later Mustangs where you can abuse the WEP forever. When you then throttle to 100% sometimes or cut to 0% when diving, it's even better. I had no overheating issues after a 20 minute match, not even lightly yellowish oil and water temperatures.
Maybe one day i'll try mec, but not now, dont have enough time to incorporate that.

P51s have one of the best flaps in the game
Landing (arround 290kmh or somethin)
Takeoff (arround 400kmh)
Combat (arround 620kmh)
And u dont use it '-'

That damage you did to the 219 might have been enough. Any sort of damage to one of those engines and the thing can't stay in the air much longer. It's such a piece of junk.
yeah, i should have eliminated him there though, not just damaged him, but oh well, my aim wasnt optimal in it yet. I didnt get a crit, so i didnt get the kill, damned hit detection.
Here is a little trick that you can use if you come up with the idea to dogfight in a p51. Learned it from Van Sinn (thx;).
It doesnt work with all planes but that arent so good at higspeed maneuvers are good customers. I tried the
maneuver out several times and had great results its an amazing tool especially in the cannon mustang where u dont want to get to high and somebody BnZs you. Its important that your enemy has an speed advantage and you cant get much slower that 550kmh in the first turn. Its damn enjoyable to outmanouver a suprised 109 pilot ;)

I had some interesting 1vs 1 situations with 109s were i was the last surivor and i put me in a altitude disadvantage on purpose to pull out the manouver ;)
I use that maneuver a lot too :) its very nice for a reversal.

nope, this is the p-51. A-36 has 6 50 cals.

Boy does this engine suck. Granted I didn't have Eng. spaded yet but to be at altitude with an Me 264 and watch it pull away from me was infuriating. The Stats card must be wrong. If you like cannons on low tier planes Bf 110s or the Sea Hurricane are much more fun.

Can't make this plane work no matter how hard I try. Also so sick of going against premium planes a lot like the P47 for the germans and such. So much premium spam these days. And another fact that even if I go lower BR planes I'm always going against way better players that are clubbing me. Theres no place to go against for someone who has low ability because I haven't flown much even in reserve planes you get clubbed by much better planes and players. There is a problem I believe with BR being a spread of 1 which I think it should be .7 or even maybe .5. At least then a noob like me might have a tiny bit better chance to survive. This game is just set up for lesser players like me to feed players like you. I want to have some fun also not be just your bitch.
i understand that, step one then is to start looking at your replays and start identifying your mistakes. and start yourself on the way of progressing as a pilot. i would direct you to my tutorial playlist and my Air combat maneuver playlist. With those two playlists you should be able to practice on your flying and your tactics.
I'm done. I don't have time to play every day for hours. I've been trying for over a month watching videos and practicing. I have much better things to do then waste my life on a game with a shrinking player base.
a month is nothing mate, learning curve is a bit longer, and the playerbase is actually slowly growing.
please dont use the stealth ammunition in your videos
Hispanos is mostly stealth though, the air ammo that is.
They are invisible, and this is boring in videos.

i've never even considere using a stealth belt could be boring for a vid, i usually use a belt with some tracers to get used to the aim on a certain caliber, but after that i go for the belt that i find most effective. A belt/ammo tutorial on the 5 nations might be a nice idea though, i'll ponder that for a bit cheers!

This video was kinda painful to watch, that 219 should have been dead like ten times over. The Mustang may not be the most maneuverable plane but if you don't WEP 500% of the time and turn in to him instead of away you can kill 219s. I use the Hispanos all the time and I still forget how fast they are, I think they have nearly the same muzzle velocity as the .303's on the spitfires, so hearing you talk about wasting ammo was way too real for me lol.

Definitely. Another thing about the hispanos is I think they got nerfed a while back which might explain some of the bursts not doing a lot of damage. It certainly feels like you have to put a lot more allied 20mm into planes now to put them down. Good video.

Sure, but often in this plane you shouldnt use flaps as you dont want to loose too much speed in this plane.

stats are not important above the avarage state, its attitude that matters in a squadron.
