I love how they just casually changed the entire paradigm of the whole Star Wars universe with some dialogue and a hologram. Every movie and show until now has had "a galaxy far far away". Now there's TWO galaxies!!
Something I love about Baylon's characterization so far is that he really feels like a fallen knight rather than a Sith - he still has weird polite formality, his outfit even looks kind of like armour, and he's not really doing any weird Sith things. He doesn't appear to be a ball of barely controlled rage, and he's also not wielding a red lightsaber - it's blood orange, which from memory is a colour that can naturally occur in Khyber Crystals. He's just serving evil for his own ends. It's nice to see gradients like that - not everything has to be pure Jedi or pure Sith.
Ahsoka and Sabine didn't have much interaction in Rebels, so the catch up about their relationship (which happened after Rebels) was for those of us that were fans of the animated series.
I wouldn't even call it "Disney Star Wars" so much as just plain "Star Wars" - look at Luke in Empire Strikes Back, gets attacked early on, loses his hand later - that's pretty typical SW. Filoni worked closely with George Lucas throughout the Clone Wars and not many people are as well versed in the lore and story as he is.
@@coeusdarksoul2855 well he was telling Hera to shoot down that ship which would have crashed into the port city so definitely still the little murder Gremlin that we've all come to love.
Kevin Kiner never disappoints Sabine’s theme is beautiful. For our friend Ray Stevenson. Truly can’t believed he passed away before the series was released
Ahsoka is finally here and so far Dave Filone hasn't disappointed us. I was happy to see Sabine, Hera, & Chopper come to life hopefully we see Ezra in the flesh, but we're excited to see Grand Admiral Thrawn come back I can't wait for the next episode.
Sabine is my favorite Mandalorian and one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Cut her some slack. Her trust issues run deep and are justified. Also you mentioned she didn’t listen…she’s a Mandalorian. Their defining trait is stubbornness.
I’m actually very interested in seeing how a viewer sees this series without ever seeing REBELS. Will they manage to give enough exposition for those who didn’t watch? Makes me so happy to see Nightsisters stuff in live-action. Love that faction in Star Wars.
Remember how good the Star Wars novels once were? This isn't Star Wars. It's a cartoon turned into a show, low budget, bad writing, direction, character, acting.
I haven’t seen any episodes of rebels . BUT I know much of the story! From reactions to reviews ! So some of these characters aren’t really known by me lol . At some points idk if any Easter’s eggs popped up from rebels
I haven't watched Rebels or Clone Wars and so far I'm enjoying this Star Wars show more than any of the others because the show feels like it has depth and history and I think the casting is great (this is not as a coparison with Rebels or Clone Wars).
Mary…watching Rebels is a must. “Rebels” Cliff Notes won’t give you the full context of what has happened between the characters and what the full mission is going forward.
I will say that new rockstars I've been doing an excellent series about the recap of rebels. So far they've done seasons 1 & 2 with seasons 3 and 4 supposed to be coming out sometime this week
Mary, Jai Kell wasn't a rando. He had a role in those 4 seasons. As did Ryder Azati, the governor of Lothal. And those are Loth Cats a feline species native to Lothal and they're ADORABLE
I was shocked 😲 😯 to learn Morgan Elsbeth was a Night Sister. In the games Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor (I apologize for spoilers 😓), there's another survivor of the Night Sisters, named Merrin. At first an antagonist in the first game, she becomes an ally and friend to the main protagonist, a survivor of the Jedi Order, Cal Kestis, by the end of it, and his love interest in the second game 🎮 😍🥰😉😁👍. (Once again, I apologize if I've spoiled anything for you 😓😣😔🙏.)
Disney Star Wars isn't afraid at killing characters, even Main characters. Kanan Jarrus, just like the rest of the main crew died in an explosion, and Rebels had other major deaths. Clone Wars had even more (it isn't Disney Star Wars, but also animated and created by Dave Filoni), multiple major characters died: by Lightsabers through the stomach, getting beheaded, rammed with horns followed by a lightsaber, getting shot (some characters by MULTIPLE shots), etc. This show could very much have deaths, it just doesn't really make sense to kill characters like Sabine or Hera at this point
Fun fact/easter-egg: The Eye of Sion (other than a possible "play" off of eye of Sauron) might be a reference to a Sith Lord from the Old Republic era who used the dark side to keep himself alive in spite of mortal wounds. He was a zombie of a Sith. Nicknamed the Lord of Pain because doing what he did was excruciating. (He also had one dead eye) He was able to use this ability, unlike most darksiders, because he was what is called a "wound in the force". Yet, as bad as he was, he was nothing compared to his partner in mass genocide: Darth Nihilus.
Marrok is a Sith Inquisitor, with blood red lightsaber blades, Shin Hati, Baylan Skoll's apprentice, wields an orange and/or burning red lightsaber blade. Her and Baylan are Dark Jedi/Fallen Jedi and their lightsaber colors are apparently called "Righteous Fury" 🤔, which is what Dagan Gera in Jedi Survivor bleeds his yellow lightsaber into once he starts seething about the Jedi Order having "abandoned and betrayed him" 😓.
In Norse mythology, Hati and Skoll are wolves that are the offspring of Fenrir/Fenris. Hati chases the moon at night, and Skoll chases the sun during the day.
Corellia, where the star destroyers of the Era episodes I-VI were built. Also featured in Solo A Star Wars Story. Also were the Mellenium Falcon was built, it's a Corellian YB class freighter.
I'm sure someone has already pointed out this things but I can't see them in the recent comments so: a) we've never seen Sabine being Ahsoka's padawan for a while, we discovered it in the trailer; b) the witches of Dathomir (and the Nightsisters in particular) are a main thread in SW lore, they're largely covered in The Clone Wars animated series and in comics/novels; c) Huyang (the droid) was responsible to care for the kids in the Jedi temple, teaching them to build their lightsabers, so that's why he's so expert in the matter (and he's voiced by David Tennant 🥰); d) the "cat" is a LothCat, the Lothal local version 😁 They're strongly connected to the Force, though; e) they've got Bacta baths so unless they're ripped to pieces or beheaded these people can't die (if taken soon enough), Boba Fett and Fennec Shand "docunt"... f) Chopper is always been "voiced" by Dave Filoni; g) you probably know this but Thrawn and Ezra travelled to the far reaches of the galaxy (according to Ezra's plan) entangled by the Purgill's (sort of space whales able to light-travel at will) tentacles.
@Spaxer That doesn't make him some random dude. If you have to say, apart from that, I think that takes him out of the random space. Had she seen Rebels, she would not br referring to him as random.
Totally Sabine. She along with Ezra were the youngest members of the Ghost Team. She still has some more growing up to do. So of course she does something impulsive and irresponsible.
Everyone that has never seen Rebels, and even those who have... we couldn't get into the show at all. They use these long runtimes, but it just makes the show slower and duller, not more interesting.
This isn't meant to be rude but Rebels needs to be seen first for the love Mary. You grow a huge attachment to the characters if you've seen Rebels without that you won't have that connection clips don't do it justice
Morgan Elsbeth is played by Diana Lee Inosanto, goddaughter of *Bruce Lee* 🐲 In the episode she debuted in The Mandalorian, it was on what would’ve been Bruce’s 80th birthday.
The guy who played Huyang, the droid accompanying Ahsoka, is voiced by David Tennant from Doctor Who. My thoughts about Ahsoka is she is being a little like Anikin in the stubborn department.
SSD most likely is an acronym for "Super Star Destroyer" just like Vader's _The Executor_ which was destroyed at the Battle of Endor, when it collided into the second Death Star 🤔😉👍.
Loth-Cats: Native to Lothal. If you've seen Solo, then you've been to Corellia. Reprising Animated Roles (up to this point): Huyang (David Tennant) - Clone Wars; Governor Ryder Azadi (Clancy Brown) - Rebels; Chopper (Dave Filoni) - Rebels. The Witches of Dathomir (aka The Nightsisters): a group of force-sensitive female natives of the planet Dathomir, from Clone Wars. Two of the best known were Mother Talzin and Asajj Ventress. Related - on the male side you had Maul and Savage Opress. The scene with Ahsoka and Sabine, on the platform, looking at the mural, before departing, is the re-created final scene from Rebels. Combined with the status of Lady Morgan, we are in the middle of The Mandalorian, Season 2 (as a time frame reference). Without the context from watching Rebels, you are seeing Sabine Wren in a light that many Rebels fans would beg to differ from your own....but given the circumstances, that's understandable. Please keep an open mind to her, Hera, etc. :) As a fan of both Clone Wars and Rebels, I didn't find anything slow about either episode. Over 12 hours later, and I'm still pumped. So, yes, I'm looking forward to next week's episode. Keep up the great reactions.
Favorite Ahsoka Characters So Far (never seen Rebels yet) 1. Ahsoka Tano 2. Shin Hati 3. Huyang 4. Chopper 5. Baylan Skoll 6. Morgan Elsbeth 7. Hera Syndulla 8. Sabine Wren 9. Ryder Azadi 10. Marrok (very mysterious so far to me like Black Noir in The Boys) The droids are the only ones adding humor to Ahsoka. Huyang is quite similar to K-2SO who I enjoyed from Rogue One. I like droids that speak their mind. *Diana* *Lee* *Inosanto* The actress who portrays Morgan Elsbeth is Filipina from her dad side. Her last name is a giveaway. She's already 57 but she's a trained martial artist and stuntwoman. She did stunts in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV series), Face/Off, and Blade. Her dad was a student of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do and Bruce was her godfather! She knows eskrima which is a Filipino martial art. I didn't bother to look her up after The Jedi episode in The Mandalorian S2 but now I'm a total supporter for this actress! She's more badass than Ming-Na Wen and I love Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. Ming-Na is actually good friends with Filipina singer, Lea Salonga. I'm a huge fan of Zoë Bell from the Tarantino films. Zoë was Cate Blanchett's stunt double in Thor: Ragnarok among many stunts she did for MCU and Xena: Warrior Princess. Diana being a Filipina martial artist who knows JKD, eskrima, and being a trained stuntwoman has already made me a fan of Morgan Elsbeth. Hiring *Bruce* *Lee's* *goddaughter* is perfect for Ahsoka. I bet Diana Lee Inosanto trains Rosario since eskrima/kali/arnis involves two fighting sticks and Ahsoka happens to be a double-wielder. I don't see Morgan dying anytime soon. I expect Baylan to get killed off. They'll keep Diana around like The Mandalorian did with Giancarlo Esposito for three seasons. If Diana's character does get killed this season, I could still see her "stick" around to help choreograph the fight scenes and train Rosario wielding two lightsabers. I love Michelle Yeoh but she's not a real martial artist like Diana. Diana is very close friends with Shannon Lee, Bruce's only surviving offspring and daughter. They're practically sisters. I'm seeing a lot of photos with Diana and Shannon together. There's a cute one with them doing a peace sign and the photo above it is their dads doing the same. See one with Diana next to Brandon and Shannon when they were still kids. Think about it, we have Bruce Lee's goddaughter helping with a Star Wars project and she's representing Filipinos! That's badass. Filipinos are finally getting represented well in Disney. We're not stuck with just Ned in the MCU Spider-Man films. Bruce Lee's teachings lives on!!! There's one scene in Ahsoka where I had to slow it down to 0.25x speed on my phone. When the droid dropped from the ceiling. Ahsoka slashed it twice but it went so quickly. If you see it in slow-mo, it looks solid. She does wield them out smoothly. Rosario's movements aren't really stylish and dynamic like Hayden's and Adam's as she's not athletic like them in their 20s and 30s, but it's simpler and efficient. No unnecessary, wasted motions. I'm starting to heart Shin Hati. I'm interested in her ulterior motives. Like why is she asking those questions to Morgan and Baylan? I'm not sexist and don't mind female-centric shows if three of my all-time favorite shows are I Love Lucy, Derry Girls, and The Golden Girls. I found Dedra from Andor interesting. I wanted to see perspective from a female officer of the Empire's imperial security. Calling Ahsoka "WOKE" is like calling every previous female-centric show woke like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Charlie's Angels, Sex In The City, and 30 Rock. I guess Lifetime, Hallmark, and BET are all woke then. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air from the 90s feels woke if it first premiered this year. Has some preachy moral message at the end in some episodes. Jesse Spano from Saved By The Bell was 30 years ahead at being a super feminist woke character. Too late, Kathleen. Woke is a term used by misogynists or sexist guys because they prefer male-centric content. I guess Kick-Ass was being woke because Hit-Girl kicked the most ass in those two films based from comics. Female-centric content is fine as long as the female characters are likable and not unlikable like Helena Shaw in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny or Brie Larson and Rachel Zegler in real life. BTW, I'm a gawd damn Trumper and hate the gender/race swapping. But I think woke is an overused BS word used as some defensive mechanism. If you don't want films and TV to get political, then stop using that word that triggers political debates! Woke to me is like rehabilitation to Red in The Shawshank Redemption. A bullshit word. What really constitutes as being woke these days? By having more women or minorities on TV and films? Is that supposed to be a bad thing? Why can't The Force be women? Didn't Anakin come out of a woman when he was born? Who raised him? The world wouldn't be able to reproduce without a woman's reproduction organs that releases a baby from their womb. One of Tupac Shakur's most popular songs is praising his mama. I've been loving female characters dating back to Lucy Ricardo. I love Trinity from The Matrix and Hela from Thor: Ragnarok. So far, I like The Armorer, Bo-Katan, Peli (she's fun), and Cara Dune from The Mandalorian, Fennec Shand from The Book of Boba Fett, Vel, Maarva, Mon Mothma, Dedra, Bix, and Kleya from Andor, and Ahsoka, Shin Hati, and Morgan from Ahsoka. Miss you, Gina Carano! Not a great actress but I like Cara Dune. Real quick on Vel Sartha, the actress who portrays her (Faye Marsay) has a great set of boobs! I don't care if she turns binary and I start to refer to her as they/them, Faye Marsay is hot af! She reminds me of Pollyanna McIntosh in The Walking Dead. Jadis/Anne isn't attractive in TWD, but once you see Pollyanna naked, you'll think she's hot. I like how Tony Gilroy positions each character towards awkward situations from Andor. I like that in Andor, Vel is ordered to assassinate Cassian to eliminate the loose ends after succeeding a major heist together. That's very cutthroat and Game of Thrones-like. Nobody should be trusted during a planned rebellion considering it can endanger everyone's lives. Bourne writer, Tony Gilroy, is an underrated contributor for Disney SW. Rogue One and Andor are both excellent. And we forget Rogue One starred a female, Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso. Favorite Females From Disney+ SW 1. The Armorer (she got more action in S3) 2. Peli Motto 3. Vel Sartha 4. Mon Mothma 5. Maarva Andor 6. Bo-Katan Kryze 7. Dedra Meero 8. Ahsoka Tano 9. Shin Hati 10. Fennec Shand 11. Cara Dune 12. Bix Caleen 13. Morgan Elsbeth 14. Kleya Marki Andor seems to have the most female characters I like. Notice I didn't list Sabine Wren yet. I'm still not sure about her. Another overused SW trope about a rebellious pupil and failed teacher. Didn't we already see this with Obi-Wan with Anakin and Luke with Ben/Kylo Ren? My biggest fear is Sabine ruining the show by being too annoying, emo, rebellious, or predictable (cliché). That Sabine is an Asian version of Reva. Shin Hati pretty much kicked her ass at the end of Ep 1 like Ilsa would do to Grace had they got into a fight in Dead Reckoning Part One. Sabine = another Reva? We'll see...
David Tennant, best known for being the 10th Doctor of Doctor Who, is Huyang the droid. He played the role in Clone Wars and Rebels. Ray Stevenson (Baylan Skoll) passed away in May 2023 before the show premiered, and had been at Star Wars Celebration to promote it in April. He played Volstagg in the Thor movies, among his many credits. I always loved him as Titus Pullo in the HBO series Rome. He's the "Ray" in the end credits. Sabine has a Loth Cat...from her planet of Lothal. Sabine Wren almost always had short hair, as she was Mandalorian and to fit her helmet. It was always changing colors. Usually, her weapons of choice were twin handgun blasters. She started training with lightsabers when she gained possession of the Dark Saber. Sabine gave it to Bo-Katan...which is why Bo-Katan didn't want it when Din Djarin offered it to her. Corellia is the birth planet of Han Solo, one of the oldest member worlds of the Republic before the Empire. It comes close to Coruscant in being nearly a city planet and is one of the major ship-building places in the galaxy. Ahsoka has montrals and lekku on her head. The montrals at the top of the head act as ears and are hollow, but also give her species Togruta an excellent sense of where they are at all times. The lekku are different on Togrutas, they don't do much. Unlike the Twi'leks, like Hera Syndulla. Hera has lekku, which holds a part of her brain. Twi'lek don't have ears like humans, but bumps where humans would have ears.
Fun Fact: Huyang is voiced by David Tennant, best known as the tenth incarnation of The Doctor in Doctor Who, and this isn't his first appearance in Star Wars either, both the actor and character made an appearance in a story arc in The Clone Wars.
Mary! You should totally watch Star Wars Rebels! It has really important context for this series but more importantly it’s some of the best Star Wars content out there. It might look like a big undertaking with 4 seasons but it goes by quickly and is so worth it! It also includes really important context for the movies as well.
One thing about this series is Hera seems more open and caring. Not do militant as she was in the cartoon. 13:23 remember Reva survived a stab there and the Grand Inquisitor survived that. Seems like the best place to get stabbed with a saber. Plus the heat would cauterize the wound. 17:39 David Tennant is great voice for that droid. 24:34 she had short hair in the Rebels series and the short hair is easier to deal with the helmet. So Ashoka series is placed two years after the Mandalorian so seems like it is during the time of Season 3 Mandalorian.
Good day Mary! Happy u are reacting to Ahsoka but i really really wished you have seen The Clone Wars, Andor and Rebels because the characters are all going to be involved in Ahsoka. And especially Rebels, If one hasn't seen this. It is difficult to form a strong emotional connection to many of the scenes in this series!! Regardless i hope you will continue to enjoy and May the Force be with you :)
Dave Filoni has said Ashoka is Rebels season 5. There is more than knowing the Crew. Also pronouncing their names Hera Syndulla (Hair), Kanan Jarrus (Kay•nan) dead, Garazeb 'Zeb' Orrelios,Sabine Wren, Ezra Bridger, Caleb Dume also dead but could make an appearance, CT-7567 (AKA Rex). Sabine's house is actually Ezra's house. Things that had happened in Rebles that could have a play in this. Like Ezra going (Back in Time) to save Ashoka from being killed by Vader. Like Ezra riding (a very wobbly) line between The Light Side and The Dark Side, thanks to Maul. Baylan and Shin's Lightsabers are a deep Orange-Red. If you're going to make an effort to research Rebels, take the time and watch. Female Twi'lek's ears are Conical in shape, Togruta's have Montrals (the horns on top) in place of ears. The work like Passive Echolocation.
As I watched Rebels, Chopper slowly elevated himself as the best droid in Starwars. So happy he (it) gets to be in this show! Also my super going on a diet version of how to watch the best of rebels in less than two hours: Just watch the last two episodes of season 2 and the last two episodes of season 4. Easy. You won't exactly know what is going on but you will get the best of the best scenes! Anyhow, I don't know if you read all these damn comments but keep up the good work! Been watching you react from back when reacting to shows and movies was barely a thing! Sounds creepy AF but not my intention! :)
idk if in universe Sabine cut her hair short to fit in the helmet better, but the irl reason is so that her character looks more like the rebels character who had short hair
RIP to Jedi Kanan Jarrus. He had an epic and heartbreaking death just a few episodes before the end of Rebels. Reprising their animated roles in live action (so far): Huyang (David Tennant) - Clone Wars, Governor Ryder Azadi (Clancy Brown) - Rebels, Chopper (Dave Filoni) - Rebels. Senator Jai Kell: was one of the rebels in the animated series, that as an Imperial Cadet defected from the Empire. The Night Sisters (Witches of Dathomir) - are female force users featured in Clone Wars and Rebels. One of the famous males from the planet was Maul.
Watching Ahsoka running after the transport and not being able to catch it reminds me of how, in canon, they've shown us force speed running is a thing, but never utilized since that one time lol
10:08 this is like straight out of episode 1! I love it! 12:50 Scott free huh? 14:05 well, the tension is new to us who watched Rebels too, something happened during the like 10 years since then.
Mary, like you mentioned, if you haven’t seen *The Clone Wars* and *Star Wars Rebels* series, you’ll probably feel lost, as many of the characters from those series are in this, and they may reference people and events you may not know. BUT, here’s a spoiler-filled recap of all that’s happened until now: ua-cam.com/video/Ykwn11gtlR4/v-deo.html
Just watched these myself, and I'm so looking forward to more! It's a slower burn but the payoffs have been there. Also, I like that they're re-introducing some mysticism into the series. To answer one of your questions, Ezra and Sabine weren't a couple, as they were teenagers (14 and 16 at the start of the series, if memory serves right) at the start of Rebels. So Ezra was definitely enamored with Sabine, he frequently got in trouble trying to do things to impress her. But over time they became good friends and had more of a brother/sister vibe.
I love that you're watching this show, seriously, but I'm afraid knowing just Rebels' finale won't be enough and you could get lost in the events. Maybe to fully be involved in Ahsoka's events you should watch at least the final arc of Clone Wars (7x09 until 7x12) and Rebels' season 2 finale. Oh, and of course episodes 4x12-4x13 of Rebels as well, which are supposed to be very important for this series. Just watch them offline, it's great Star Wars stuff, maybe the best you can find out there 😎
Kinda wished you reacted to clone wars and rebels (some of these characters act different from the show, it seems like their character development was disregarded.) 😭
Honestly, There's so much missing if you haven't actually seen rebels, Clips online are one thing but there story is so much easier to meld into if you've watch Rebels. Still, it's a good show even if you have no idea what's going on you just might feel slightly lost about some things.
No Mary you saw Corellia in "Solo". It was where Han came from and then Kiran got caught at the checkpoint right before Han signed up for the Imperial Navy to be a Pilot.
Ahsoka hinges on the viewer having an emotional connection with the Rebels' characters so not watching Rebels will not bring the complete experience. Obviously its a lot to ask but I don't see how it can be received appropriately anymore since the Star Wars universe is so big now. The argument that its too much to watch is a good one to make but i dont think you could also say you dont understand the characters by not watching the other shows. Reading a synopsis and watching clips is not enough in my opinion since Mary could not even say Kanan correctly. I sound like a hater but im not i swear, just a nerd ig.
Mary, you really should have watched Rebels (if nothing else) in its entirety. A lot happened in that series, and I won't spoil anything. But take a couple of days and watch it all, if you can. It will fill in some blanks... some of them rather important.
That is one of the main gripes I and many others have with Disney Star Wars, lightsabres only seem to work on half power! Long gone are the days of dying from a sabre going through your internal organs like Qui Gon Jinn, nowadays it’s merely a flesh wound as proven by the inquisitor in the Obi Wan series and now by Sabine, I guess it’s only fatal if you’re not a main character!!!
@@ElKamaleon777 lmao ok I’ll spell it out for you. She literally says “ that is where Thrawn is banished “ “he’s calling out to me” so no it’s not just that they believe he is on some galaxy far far away 😁😂
The appearance of the apprentice (didn't catch her name) reminds me of Lana Beniko, a Sith leader from the expansion pack storyline in that Star Wars MMO, The Old Republic. It's however many thousands of years off from the right era to be her, of course, but she looks exactly the same as you'd expect a live action Lana to look. EDIT: Okay, I forgot that Lana has yellow eyes. This new character doesn't. But yeah, same look aside from that.

I'm sorry you can't find joy. I hope you get better!
@coeusdarksoul2855 some people are just haters. Best to ignore.
8:42 They were a whole thing in Clone Wars. Their role was imperative and their extinction was a grand event
Clone wars season 6 and 7 is disney star wars.
Yes chopper is cute. He has over 50,000 confirmed kills
Double, double toil and trouble, it’s from Shakespeare Macbeth the three witches. Morgan Elsbeth is a Drathomir witch.
Glad someone caught on. I applaud you.
Can we, as a species, please come together with the common goal of genetically engineering Lothcats? :0
I would so want a Loth Cat.
6:24 Jai Kell is not some random dude. He helped Ezra in Rebels on a few occasions.
Apart from that does he have any significance? I think not.
@Spaxer That doesn't make him some random dude. If you have to say, apart from that, I think that takes him out of the random space. Had she seen Rebels, she would not br referring to him as random.
@Spaxer He's a Senator, so obviously there's more that we don't have privy to.
The way Sabine opens the map, was similar to the map from *_Treasure Planet_* 🤔😉😌👍.
If you have seen Solo: A Star Wars Story, Corellia is Han Solo's home planet.
This isn't meant to be rude but Rebels needs to be seen first for the love Mary. You grow a huge attachment to the characters if you've seen Rebels without that you won't have that connection clips don't do it justice
Agreed.
Agreed. Although, it is expected that not everyone will sit down and watch Rebels
@@ironmaiden93ofangmar that's fair but again it's necessary for this new series I didn't mean any disrespect
Absolutely
I love that chopper is still a little crazy murderer.
If you listen carfully, you can kinda understand Chopper. At one point, pretty sure he said "what the fuck?!"
Morgan Elsbeth is played by Diana Lee Inosanto, goddaughter of *Bruce Lee* 🐲
In the episode she debuted in The Mandalorian, it was on what would’ve been Bruce’s 80th birthday.
Dan Inosanto, her dad i presume, well known figure in his own right.
As a fan of both Clone Wars and Rebels, I didn't find anything slow about either episode. Over 12 hours later, and I'm still pumped. So, yes, I'm looking forward to next week's episode.
Keep up the great reactions.
Mary: Disney doesn't have the balls to kill a major character
Disney: Is Han Solo a joke to you!?
that doesn't exist
Seeing all the characters from Rebels that we love in live action makes me very happy
Too bad they don’t act like those characters from Rebels. Hera isn’t even close 😁
Mary, this is season 5 of Rebels. You've missed so much stuff.
Favorite Ahsoka Characters So Far
(never seen Rebels yet)
1. Ahsoka Tano
2. Shin Hati
3. Huyang
4. Chopper
5. Baylan Skoll
6. Morgan Elsbeth
7. Hera Syndulla
8. Sabine Wren
9. Ryder Azadi
10. Marrok (very mysterious so far to me like Black Noir in The Boys)
The droids are the only ones adding humor to Ahsoka. Huyang is quite similar to K-2SO who I enjoyed from Rogue One. I like droids that speak their mind.
*Diana* *Lee* *Inosanto*
The actress who portrays Morgan Elsbeth is Filipina from her dad side.
Favorite Females From Disney+ SW
1. The Armorer (she got more action in S3)
2. Peli Motto
3. Vel Sartha
4. Mon Mothma
5. Maarva Andor
6. Bo-Katan Kryze
7. Dedra Meero
8. Ahsoka Tano
9. Shin Hati
10. Fennec Shand
11. Cara Dune
12. Bix Caleen
13. Morgan Elsbeth
14. Kleya Marki
Andor seems to have the most female characters I like.
Sabine = another Reva?
We'll see...
I thought Ahsoka was really good. Can't wait for the next episode.
I met him at GalaxyCon in Richmond, VA a few months ago. Because of the crowded circumstances, our discussion was only 20 seconds.
@@redviper6805 You're still doing better than i have, i've never met the guy at all.
Loved the Rock Paper Scissors Joke.
On your own time I recommend binging Rebels. It will explain why Sabine is like this and Chopper has the highest kill count in the Rebellion
Not quite. Chopper never got to blow up a Death Star.
I think he feels a little bitter about that... 🤨
Unless your name is Qui-Gon Jinn or Han Solo, pretty much everyone survives being impaled by a lightsaber.
Honestly that puzzle looked easier to unlock than a 4 digit lock.
Marrok and Mascissors made me laugh. :D
The droid Huyang is voiced by David Tennant. He also, voiced him in the Clone Wars cartoon as well.
I want one of those lothcats. They are so cute
Regardless of your “research”, you’ll still be missing out on a lot, since this is still Rebels Season 5
idk if in universe Sabine cut her hair short to fit in the helmet better, but the irl reason is so that her character looks more like the rebels character who had short hair
Chopper was... Perfect.
I really liked Sabine as a point of view character. She has an interesting story to tell on this show.
"oh and Canan..." you broke my heart all over again...😢😢
Not 100% sure but I think we saw Corellia shipyards before in the Solo movie.
Watch Rebels!!! It’s the best Star Wars show!!! I don’t care what you might have heard. That show is amazing!!!
Watching Ahsoka running after the transport and not being able to catch it reminds me of how, in canon, they've shown us force speed running is a thing, but never utilized since that one time lol
The first 2 episodes of Ahsoka brings back the feelings of Rebels. I'm so excited for this series
Corrilia was also in Solo. It's his homeworld he was at in the beginning
Beautiful as always ❤
Great reaction
That’s a lot of pillows 😂
10:08 this is like straight out of episode 1! I love it!
12:50 Scott free huh?
14:05 well, the tension is new to us who watched Rebels too, something happened during the like 10 years since then.
Mary, like you mentioned, if you haven’t seen *The Clone Wars* and *Star Wars Rebels* series, you’ll probably feel lost, as many of the characters from those series are in this, and they may reference people and events you may not know.
BUT, here’s a spoiler-filled recap of all that’s happened until now:
ua-cam.com/video/Ykwn11gtlR4/v-deo.html
In Star Wars lore, The Witches of Dathomir is basically where Darth Maul comes from.
Dathomir is also one of the planets you visit in Jedi: Fallen Order.
You wouldve seen Corellia in the Han Solo movie
You should definitely watch Rebels
Just watched these myself, and I'm so looking forward to more! It's a slower burn but the payoffs have been there. Also, I like that they're re-introducing some mysticism into the series.
To answer one of your questions, Ezra and Sabine weren't a couple, as they were teenagers (14 and 16 at the start of the series, if memory serves right) at the start of Rebels. So Ezra was definitely enamored with Sabine, he frequently got in trouble trying to do things to impress her. But over time they became good friends and had more of a brother/sister vibe.
I'm pausing this and not even gonna watch it till they're all out so I can watch them in one sitting 😂😂😂
Just watch them offline, it's great Star Wars stuff, maybe the best you can find out there 😎
The tension between Ashoka and Sabine is news to people who watched Rebels too.
Kinda wished you reacted to clone wars and rebels (some of these characters act different from the show, it seems like their character development was disregarded.) 😭
Thrawn is in a galaxy far far away
I'm still laughing at "Ma-Paper" and "Ma-scissors" hours later.😂
Honestly, There's so much missing if you haven't actually seen rebels, Clips online are one thing but there story is so much easier to meld into if you've watch Rebels. Still, it's a good show even if you have no idea what's going on you just might feel slightly lost about some things.
IT HAS BEGAN!!!!!! Now this is the Star Wars content I wanted to see after the Original trilogy!! Now this, puts a smile on my face 😌
No Mary you saw Corellia in "Solo". It was where Han came from and then Kiran got caught at the checkpoint right before Han signed up for the Imperial Navy to be a Pilot.
Lawd she aint seen Rebels!!!! 😫
I think she hasn’t even seen clone wars
Ahsoka hinges on the viewer having an emotional connection with the Rebels' characters so not watching Rebels will not bring the complete experience. Obviously its a lot to ask but I don't see how it can be received appropriately anymore since the Star Wars universe is so big now. The argument that its too much to watch is a good one to make but i dont think you could also say you dont understand the characters by not watching the other shows. Reading a synopsis and watching clips is not enough in my opinion since Mary could not even say Kanan correctly. I sound like a hater but im not i swear, just a nerd ig.
Ahsoka and Sabine barely spoke on Rebels.
Their history is all untold.
Mary the head tails on hera are called lekku.
Mary, you really should have watched Rebels (if nothing else) in its entirety. A lot happened in that series, and I won't spoil anything. But take a couple of days and watch it all, if you can. It will fill in some blanks... some of them rather important.
That opening scene was absolutely ridiculous. Lol
The actress that plays the Sabine character is from Australia
Spoiler alert the other Galaxy they're going to travel to is going to be the milky way galaxy
Ashoka = ❤. Sabine Wren = ❤❤
For me the giant issue is why was a recent map hidden in an ancient temple? It makes almost no sense.
It's not a recent map, they only believe Thrawn is there
@@ElKamaleon777that makes even less sense. So thousands of years ago they knew where Thrawn would be lol
@@jaymeU2 No, they believe that Thrawn is in that other galaxy, and what they did was look for an old map to get to that galaxy.
@@ElKamaleon777 lmao ok I’ll spell it out for you. She literally says “ that is where Thrawn is banished “ “he’s calling out to me” so no it’s not just that they believe he is on some galaxy far far away 😁😂
@@ElKamaleon777 hmmm somehow this map was the only map in an entire galaxy where Thrawn would be banished hahaha yep ok
You should watch Star Wars Rebels
I'm not expecting to see Kanan. A flashback would be dope tho.
I'm hoping he appears as a Force ghost.
I have a question, Mary. Should I watch the Clone Wars to understand Ashoka more? Or can I jump right into her series? Thank for your help.
