My Double Nighter Camp! (Rock Art, Friends, Beers & a Mole)

This was an awesome camp and an incredible spot to visit. Gecko Creek Wilderness Lodge is nestled between the mountains close to the town of Clanwilliam up the West Coast. In the video I mentioned it was west of the N7 highway, correction it's to the east. The property spans a rather large area of natural fynbos and a very picturesque landscape. Life here is meant to be slow paced, relaxed and stress-free. There’s plenty to do on the property and in the surrounding area. It’s a great getaway and ideal for all nature lovers, families and even corporate groups. Gecko Creek can accommodate visitors in a smart, super comfortable and very quaint cottage; intimate little cabins with a bed, hammock and a view; a tented camp with a very comfy bed and front deck, or even flat shaded sites to pitch your own tent. A grand marquee stands tall and overlooks the pool area. Functions and events are no sweat here with such an awesome setting. Enjoy a short walk to Leopard Rock and discover some beautiful San Rock Art, or chill by the pool with a cold one. Meals can be prepared in the gorgeous and fully equipped lapa, or simply make a fire in the communal boma. Light the pit fire, enjoy a good sundowner and share some interesting stories with new friends under the night sky. Everything about this place is magical, peaceful and tranquil. It’s definitely one of my favourite spots of all time.
