  • Yes, I was back at Mountain Breeze, why? Because I like it there, plus it's close to home. For an overnighter its super convenient and very ideal. This time Andre joined me and as always it was a blast. We challenged ourselves to a minimalist camp. We only had a pot each, no utensils & slept on the ground. I used my bivy tent & Andre pitched his poncho as a tarp shelter. It was super fun, as always. We had a great time chatting by the fire, we fashioned some cutlery using my axe, swallowed a couple non-alcoholic beers & basically just chilled out. It turned out to be an awesome evening. We even found a raptor skull in the forrest. All in all another great week, another great camp!
    Thanks Andre for joining me!
Anyway, thanks for watching and as always thanks for your support and I’ll catch you again in the next video. Cheers!

Always a good start to the week when there is a JPRO5IVE episode to watch. I finally managed to get the OT Bivy to add to my lightweight options, thanks Jason. They were out of stock nationally for nearly 2 months. Enjoyed the minimalist approach in this episode. Great to see Andre again. Awesome. Cheers

    Cool videos, well done.
If I can suggest some additional content I'd like to see........maybe a bit of a campsite walkround/review and a bit of proper camp cooking (not 2 minute noodles haha). Some decent steaks and freshly made camp bread always goes down well.
Anyways good luck with the channel!

Paul RSA hi, reviews are a little touch & go because of certain issues I had (did this in previous videos & had some mixed feelings). Meals I mix up, of late (Covid) it’s budget meals because funds are tight. I’ve had to cut back on the luxuries for now but I did all the yummy stuff before! With wild camps I also have to streamline my gear so noodles will probably come along for those. Thanks for the comments, always happy for any feedback. Appreciate it! 😬✌🏻

You wild camp in CT? You should get together with Tony Nelson ,cape town guy as well . He's been looking for like minded guys like you from CT. Oh no ,not that bivy .I tried using mine the first time camping in the NW in the rain ,ended up bailing to the back up tent cause i was sweating buckets . I now stick my sleeping pad inside the bivy with the sleeping bag then stick the whole system inside my tent to increase the temps in extreme weather like the last time i camped at cathedral peak and next to the tugela falls last yr
