I want to thank you very much for making these videos. In the early 2000s my husband and I bought a 1980s combi camper (2l secondhand) to travel throughout the southern hemisphere. We were in our early 50s. Our goal over 4 years (still had jobs) was to go through every pass, every dorpie, every reserve, game and other and every historical and wonder of each province and country, and like you we were alone, but for our maker. Some passes and places were hair raising and very difficult, but with great enthusiasm and ghuspa we persevered. We then sold up and did the same throughout Europe and the Isles (UK ect).Back in those days we only had the use of a nikon camera, which did not always catch the feelings and fulness of the memories. Today we are in our late seventies, back in SA, and very much retired. My husband has since been diagnosed with alzheimers. Unfortunately he can't remember going to any of the places we visited. Your videos have highlighted some of the places we visited. He is so amazed at how we managed to experience all that in an old combi. I must add he was an excellent driver (no 4x4,just tempid springs and bakkie tyres and bicycles), but we had a massive amount of ghupsa and enthusiasm to see all and have great fun, also meeting lots of different people. Thank you again for the sake of my husband who can enjoy our adventures through your videos and documentaries, even although he does not remember ever going there. May you both have many happy days enjoying our country and those countries around us doing the same as we did many moons ago. Thank you, Be blessed. Shalom rav!
Its about time someone from South Africa started making videos like this. Love the content Matt💪😎
Five day hike in this berg is superb
Matt, these videos are epic man! Your story telling, videography skills and editing are all incredible !

Just amazing those rock formations,so dramatic, thanks 👍 NZ
Another great Matt Dubber production.
That, has such a great ring to it.
When I was in school in Worcester (HTS Drostdy), we did a trek over the neck into the kloof and took the river back to Oudtshoorn/Calitzdorp/Prins Albert. Forgot which one it was. To say that it is not an easy hike would be an understatement. But I can tell you that it was the most amazing hike I've ever had in my life.
Cool... you are really making me envious... and homesick!
Scintilating Scenery and Videography.
well done

The breathtaking beauty of those places brings me back. Thanx for uploading Matt. You should try tsitsikama trip when you get a chance.

Matt, thanh you so very much for taking videos of each journey you do. I travel with you to places I will never can visit. I drink every meter in. Awww GOD'S CREATION NEVER END on South Africa when HE created the earth. Keep up the good 'work' of traveling. Regards and GOD BLESS YOU AND NICHOL .....HUGS. Marie Snyman (72), Paulpietersburg KZN
I grew up about 90 minutes further along that road a little way beyond Oasis, for those who know it (RIP Gerrit, you're a legend).
I know some hidden gems in that area that you will never find unless you chat to locals. I now live in the northern highlands of Scotland and am missing the dry silence of the Cederberg mountains.
At some point I'll be back there and will make a few vids of the most spectacular spots for the channel. One that's not too hard to find is Lang Kloof waterfall, which is about a 200m drop and is absolutely breathtaking.
Love watching these thanks Matt
Cool campping be safe.....
Hey Matt,Ek geniet jou channel en leer baie, sal dit laaik on saal julle te toer eendag💪
Wonderful!, just wonderful. Is there anywhere else on Earth, quite as beautifully diverse and soulful as South Africa, I think not, but then I am biased, born in Africa, spent my 16 year youth there doing the trips you do nearly every weekend with family To say I've missed it, is an understatement. It has been like a constantly endless aching of the heart these 54 years, however the ache, is eased and happiness returns once again with videos which address all I've felt over the years, your's is such, so much so, that I've compiled a video library of every trip you've both made, places just waiting to be mindfully revisited once again. Thank you so very, very much, absolutely excellent and accurate representation of Southern Africa.
Very nice videos Matt. Thanks.
Great Video Matt. Love it.

3 tips for gravel road driving from a qualified instructor: 1. Slow down and be aware. 2. Drop tyre pressures by 10%. 3. Engage 4x4 high range if your vehicle is equipped with it.
Matt. Missing your awesome shooting skills, please upload more on fx Maverick
Great videos! Miss home even more now and i currently reside in Australia. I saw the little hook on table which you use to cook on. Where can in SA can i purchase the attachment?
It is made by Alu-Cab👍🏻
What app are you using that shows the elevations and current speed ?
Matt are you driving a 2,4 or 2,8d hillux?
One big complaint...
Too short!
Too cushy dude get out and hike and get closer to the mother land…leave them toys 🌈
It's funny when the camera is on the front of your car and you can see every bump..its literally like being on an ocean liner....not that iv ever been on one.but it tends to make us viewers sea sick lol
