A look back at the golden years of 1930s surfing Waikiki Beach. Night Hawk, the original Waikiki beachboy surfing dog is spotlighted. Nighthawk's owner and fellow surfer was Philip Auna .

This film was made between Feb. 1927 (when the Royal Hawaiian Hotel opened) and April 1930 (when the Moana Hotel pier was demolished). "Honolulu Baby" is from a few years later, from the Laurel & Hardy film "Sons of the Desert" (1934).
