    Eclectic E6000 adhesive will glue your roof cap to the masonry and brick, I have also used it on top of rubber roof membrane to seal the roof. The E6000 stays pliable and adheres to any surface and makes a premium grade repair that will last 5 to 10 years no problem. It is expensive but well worth the cost.

    Grab a roll of aluminum coil and bend em up! Easy peasy!

    We see these mod bit parapet conditions on commercial roofing all the time. Roll a piece of mod bit from 18" from the parapet to the top of the parapet with at least 6" converage on the top. Add the parapet cap and it will last at least 10 years.

    I think capping the parapet is the way to go.

    Have you ever tried Acrymax products. It’s a latex product with mesh cloth. I have a flat roof and had many incompetent asphalt roofers using 50 year old technology) add layers, had Acrymax applied ( the white pigment is thru the entire coating ) 10 years with no leaks

    Why don't you get you a roll of coil stock metal that you use for vinyl siding fascia boards and trim. Get you a metal break and roll that out that way you don't have any joints on those long runs. It's made out of aluminum so it's not going to rust and it's white or whatever color you want. I mean if you have a 16-ft break you can make it yourself.

      White silicon roof coating is a winner. I have kept a 100 year old flat roof in good shape for years first with silver and now the silicon.

    If the brick joints are letting water penetrate, water will make its way under roof membrane. Give that area a hard look. May need to repair those joints, then cap.

    It's called copeing handy....the metal, it's copeing....and you should absolutely be able to find a small fabrication shop to make 10 foot sections. Probably in almost any color you'd like....thats not gonna stop the membrane from continuing to keep sliding down the wall though....thats why they ran flashing up and over....personally I'd pin the wall up with either plates and screws or termination bar then cap it with metal.... if the membrane is still plyable enough to get it fastened....if nor you could always glue a piece of rubber membrane up and over....way easier than 100 small pieces of modified flashing....hillbillyish yes, but effective

  • @joshtaylor8209
    @joshtaylor8209 Місяць тому

    Capping is the easiest and cheapest I’d imagine. Anchoring the cap on might be the challenge, especially that broken section

    Recoat roof, get a metal guy to make some full cap coping for parapet. Dang $55k for that roof. I need to move there and make some of that sweet sweet money. My boss and I could redo whole thing in a week I bet. I've been apprenticing with him. Ill have to tell hime about this one.
    PS- how was the sunbathing tenant?? 🤔🤣

      @@TheHandyman1 I am so confused, did they pay you $5000? If so then how does $500/hr for 30 minutes make sense? You would have made $250 then. I am not sure I even saw the final result in this video. This video is confusing to me.
