      Bulgarian Split Squats should help isolate and trigger your stabilizers pretty well. I've got a loose right hip and the biased single side movements; lunges, split squats, and one legged leg press all seem to help build and maintain strength/mobility/stability

    • @awallner1
      @awallner1 4 місяці тому

      Thanks. I have recently been doing lunges but haven't tested with squats to see if they're working. How often would you recommend doing those exercises a week? Twice a week?@@Kansanite

    I'm far, FAR from your level but at my best I trained similar to the lillebridge method, which had you deadlift heavy one week, with light squat, then the following week I alternate, with heavy squat and speed deadlifts.
    It increased my squat somewhat, but the deadlift skyrocketed. I find personally being a t-rex (shortish arms) that having a powerful squat and Row really brought on my deadlift.
    I have actually maintained deadlift by not training it more than 70%, as long as I increased my lower body power
    Again I'm no where near your level, but I do like to deadlift heavy only every other week when i do decide to focus on it. I now squat twice per week,once for speed and the other for strength/volume
    I know if your injury free you will pull 505. You increased your deadlift loads in recent times and it seems you are even more dialled in now
    Exciting times ahead!

      @TheHixxy1985 cool that's good to hear cause growing up I've always thought your a very good strongman athlete. Savickas, Shaw would often break world records but they were whilst competing they rarely went out to a comp to do just a lift. Biby is phenomenal strong no doubt but he trains for 1 lift and rarely competes so in my view most may disagree with me that doesn't make him a great strongman it just makes him strong at a couple of events when he wishes to train for. But then who am i to say what you should do just a fan of strongman you gotta do whats best for you. All the best.
