    I have made and outdoor garage tent into my home gym. I have no bench,I use my Wheelchair for my workouts.
    I have up to 600 lbs of resistance bands.
    I have 180 lbs of free weights.
    3 dumbbell bars.
    I do 80 reps of 260 lbs for lat pulls,I finish each rep with a stomach crunch with my legs extended out from my wheelchair. I do 100 reps of 240 lbs for sitting rows. I do 100 reps with100lbs for triceps work and Flys.
    I do 60 reps of curls with 50lbs.
    I try do this every day I am not to flared by my CRPS.
    I sit for most of my workout,but stand,balance on my left leg for about 80 of the reps,as needed.
    I also finish with crutching about 1200 yards after workout for as much cardio as I can.
    That leaves me with a total weight lifts of 57,800 lbs.

    I have a decent home gym set up (1970s gym cable machine, bench, adjustable bench, somebands, some dbs, ....decent supplement to the gym 5 minutes away).
    One thing I'd love to have apart from a really ace set of bumper plates and a nice squat rack is those rogue olympic bumper dumbbells...never seen them in person but they look really awesome, and solid for dropping the heavy sets.
    And of course...the golden. Missing mine every day since he passed. Best dogs in the world
    PS. don't forget the Pete Rose signed bat for the wall of shame!

    • @aesop2733
      @aesop2733 5 місяців тому

      Don't think you need some awesome rack. Get a quality used rack or whatever new one is within your budget. You will be far happier to have absolutely any rack than you would be to be able to brag it's brand new from Rogue. Mine was cheap as hell, new, and while I don't know if I want to test it purposefully, I wouldn't be surprised if I can take it to 300kg. If that's not you and you never expect to load up 6+ plates(let alone any time soon) then your dreaming of a rack is holding you back. Bench, rack, bar and weights cost me less than $1300 CAD on sale and shipped to my door. Around 1k without the bench. Not chump change by any means but a "good" rack alone could easily dwarf that entire expense.

    Nice to see you setting up a home gym. My home gym is kinda meager, but I much prefer it. I tell my son you can create your own little world at home, where anything is possible. Stuff the ceiling in the basement with denim or rockwool, sound muffling help for sure. Double layer of drywall. or z-channel and 3/4 drywall. Maybe green glue between the layers. Or carpet glue. Or drop ceiling with denim in the cavity. LHBK. Oh can lights everywhere on dimmers. Speaker wire pre-run to one spot. Ethernet cables, double gang duplex boxes everythere. At 50" so you can get to them with a couch or dresser in the way. Never floor level in a basement anyways. GFCI all of them. two 20 amp circuits for home theater area. Gas fireplace. Backlit TV leds. Plumb HDMI cable pipe behind tv in the wall to the receiver area.
    Lots of shelves made of real wood. Sconce lights in theater area. Heavy door going to the upstairs for sound muffling. Nice spray foam i C.
