Probably not. I don't 100% remember how much I put down on it. I'd say around $30k but ended up getting tired of monthly payments and just payed it off 1-2 months later so kind of cash I guess. It is something that can be kind of forgotten 6 years later if you got a lot of stuff going on in your life.

The average nurses pay in the US is just shy of $80K with experienced ones up to around $120K neither is a enough to warrant that kind of payment, unless you’d prefer that over owning property in your lifetime or working until your dead. But you are right it’s their choice, just wild to me, that someone would spend their hard earned money on something that does nothing but loose value.

How can you not know how much you put down on the vehicle? The other numbers pop right out of their mouths, but they all become forgetful how much they put down on a $100K purchase.
Real Pickup owners don't purchased the vehicle on how fast it can go 0-60.
The Tesla people will never admit anything is wrong with the vehicle. It is a human nature to not want to admit you spent all of that money and there are issues. You want to justify your purchase.
The nurse practitioner said he works in surgery. He said it varies. He probably being cautious of the statement. He is making at least 180k not including bonus. This I know for sure.
Normal US consumer who bought things for the attention value, but really can't afford it. Go back a few years and interview them and see how they feel about the resale value and debt payments.

I think it depends on your finances. If someone has $2,000,000 in savings they could buy one cash. If someone has $70,000 in savings it wouldn’t be wise to finance a cyber truck.

I will be able to purchase a cybertruck in 6 month or so, I currently have about 40% saved up, my credit is ok I can get approved with a 8-9%apr at about $850 a month, I am a shift lead at Wendy’s making about $37k a year 😂

I really dont understand why people pay double or triple the price for model x and model y instead of a model 3. atleast the model S actually looks good for the price.

Buying a pretty good car from auction and dropping a couple thousand to fix it up is the real sleeper decision. These car prices turned me off to wanting a brand new Cybertruck.

Prices on vehicles are high precisely because foolish people will leverage themselves up to their eyeballs. My favourite is when these people say they own “own” one of these high end vehicles. No honey, you own a loan. The bank owns your cyber truck and you rent to own it from them.

Those who are saying that spending 100k+ cash vs financing $1300-$1800 is better are already making pour life decisions. Talking mainly to those who are saving 40-50% or saving to buy it cash. If 2-3 years the new Cyber Truck that comes with a lot more gadgets you'll want to trade... So dont pay cash just refinance so it'll be easier to trade. When financing you can trade for the new year every time with dropping 10-15k cash than paying 100k every time the new ones comes out... Whos really saving more money and driving off the lot every time a newer model comes out 😤.

No. Not cheap. Smart. I would bet I make more money than that guy (I also work in healthcare), and I would never do what he did. He absolutely made a terrible decision buying that car; he can NOT afford it. What that guy did will ensure he lives paycheck to paycheck. Buying one of these low mileage model 3s now that the used prices have sunk would be the way to go. Especially so if you can manage to pay cash for it. If it makes you feel better I only drive a 2018 Civic SI.
Cybertruck is a unibody built like a car! It’s cool, but it’s difficult to compare to framed trucks. It’s comparing apples to oranges.

It's crazy how many people pay more than my mortgage for a car. I was having a fit when I got my used Honda Pilot for $350 a month in December; and no, it was/is not beat up and high miler.

Their badly built, older cars are going to have a lot of mechanical issues and will likely need the insanely expensive batteries replaced.
I wouldn't pay more than £1000 for a secondhand Tesla, even if it was brand new.b
