Today I'm excited to unbox and try out my Analogue Pocket, a beautiful piece of modern gaming hardware that plays classic handheld games of yesteryear, like original Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, and Game Gear cartridges! The Analogue Pocket is an FPGA-based system for maximum emulation accuracy, and sports immaculate build quality with a beautiful screen. To test it out, I have a complete-in-box copy of 1992's Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins that's in amazing condition. Join me for a relaxing whispered look at both the console and the game!

It took me a second to place it but the pinball neon matrix is made to recreate the look and color palette that the lcd screen on pinball tables used for little animations and your score

I have so much nostalgia for the Super Mario Land games for game boy. Had to bum my friend’s game boy but I must have beaten both games 10X each!
I never actually played them back in the day, my Game Boy platformer of choice was Bionic Commando, for some weird reason lol. But I'm enjoying Super Mario Land 2 so far!

Ooo Super Mario Land 2, I've put so much time into this game, it should be criminal. You know what's interesting, this is the actual first appearance of Wario. Also "ping pong neon matrix" might be the version of it via virtual boy.
When you're trying to get that last coin, just run and then jump on the bricks. Running = more distance. You remember, you have to hold down the button on these older games to run.
My favorite games include Metroid 2, Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening, Bonk's Adventure, Boomer's Adventure in ASMIK World, Bubble Ghost, Kirby's Dreamland, Mr. Chins Gourmet Paradise, Pokemon(blue and red), Solomons Club, Spud's Adventures, Tetris, and of course all the mario and wario games that ever released for that system.
I didn't know that this was the first appearance of Wario, cool! I've played some of the other games you mention, but some I've never heard of. I'll have to check 'em out!

Definitely a beautiful piece of hardware :)
Maybe you could play Metroid Fusion or Metroid Zero Mission, those are some of my favorite metroid games :) This is a really cool device, and the vid was great too!

it is fucking creepy...also it is extremely annoying...I have never seen any video in my life where the person was whispering, especially when you are making an hour long video...why would you do that? I personelly got very irritated by his whispered voice...
