Hearing this while climbing a mountain in Norway was an incredible feeling
Edit: I'm referring to the in game mountains, I don't think I was clear on that, but I am in fact talking about the game, not real life rock climbing

YES!!!!! I thought I was the only one !!! I left all the side missions mysteries and artifacts in Norway and most view points unsynched so I can come back at the end and climb hear this song!!! and synch and do a leap of faith off the highest synch peaks
For me i heard it when I was sailing in Norway with the northern lights appearing over head.
Say what you want about Assassin’s Creed, but the soundtracks never, and I mean never fail to immerse you.

Absolutely. Each one have favorites. I'm really glad Kyd and Schachner are back. That's just epic!! I discovered them through AC... and my favorite still is AC III by Lorne Balfe.
It is one of my 10 favorite album of all time. And of all music styles !

Without any doubt, this is the best Synchronization theme in AC as of now.
The Norway synchronizations are easily the best in the whole series, music, scenery, scope, they’re literally breathtaking to me.
I think I like Wessex a tad bit more but that's just me.
The Unity synchronization still the best for em

Yes, amazing Combo, and in this track, the female vocalist is Clara Sorace a very talented vocalist indeed, who I know her for other musical projects. I don't know if this game will be so nice, but I'm sure the soundtrack it will be amazing :-)

When I first heard this synchronizing at my first viewpoint in Norway, I couldn’t wait to hear this at every viewpoint.
Really sucks this soundtrack wasn’t in England and only in Norway.

2:05 when this part comes on and I’m up a mountain I just look across the beautiful scenery of Norway in the mountains and take it all in. What an amazing experience
A missed opportunity was to play this at the moment they left Norway and have this part 2:03 play as the title comes on the screen. To keep the tradition of epic title reveals of the past.

Don't forget Kyd also did Brotherhood's soundtrack and Sarah Schnachner did some additional music for both Black Flag and Unity.

The part that begins with 1:26 is just incredible, I can hardly describe it but it makes me feel... giddy and ready to go out there and explore nature. Absolutely stunning.
Finally someone who aligns with that feeling that I get in my chest, the hymns and drums that make your soul feel like it wants to dance, it’s the beginning of that phenomenal buildup that just sends you to Valhalla

I am going to be very honest. I'd moved to England 6 years ago now, in search of a better life and more independence from my oppressing but still loving family. Now I am married and have a son. Although it is better for us to live here due to many reasons, ever since I decided to move, I had this strange feeling of longing for my parents and brothers. First time I heard this song while climbing the first mountain in Norway in-game, I felt like a lightning stroke into my heart and guts. I never felt connected this much to a fictional character and the music before. Now, whenever I think of my childhood home, I hear this in my head. And when I feel that emotions have been bottled up, I listen to this track and start crying, especially when the woman's vocals hits the song. What saddens me more is knowing that I can't go back. Not only because of current situation in the world, but because I just can't be happy back there, even with my original family being close. I can't explain the circumstances in detail (I want to remain private on that). But I do miss them. It's just I still find it strange that this song is not only beautiful, but also it's like a salt that is put into the wounds. It's also kind of therapeutic, so weird. If you've read this, thank you. Also, massive thanks for Jesper Kyd, he just keeps nailing it. And lastly, I really hope you all are going to have many happy, wonderful and meaningful days. Keep your loved ones close, whether literally or if not, spiritually. Treasure them and every now and then tell them you love them!

@@hetecks1385 I don't think that will happen. Apparently the marketing just wants to focus on the Viking aspects. Darby, the narrative director, however, said that there's a ton of Hidden One / Order of Ancients lore, characters and missions in this game. They just don't want to spoil it, but rather let us find out on our own.

While I listen to this song I feel sadness. As if someone is leaving their home and loved ones for a cause, selfless or selfish doesn't matter. There is the uncertainty in it. But for better or worse this marks the new beginning.

This played as I made my way to claim mjolnir, it felt amazing, the story pulled you close to Eivor, your actions reflected his. Pulling the hammer out felt like I was him (in my case), I felt the anticipation, as if I was actually walking towards it myself. Truly fantastic
I loved Sarah’s work on Origins, and Jesper’s work previously in the franchise. From what I’ve heard, this game’s soundtrack seems legendary. Three brilliant minds combine for one soundtrack.

TBH, I still had that song after arriving to England and settling, just randomly exploring. But yeah, it was only once, I believe. Maybe set the option of Music Frequency (or something like that) in the Audio options to high?

If any game doesn't use Ezio's theme it would probably be this one. Can't imagine Jesper Kyd would want to reuse his own work since he understands why he made that for the game he did. He'd probably see it as lazy and want to invent new stuff rather. If it does return it's probably out of being told it's the new theme when that shouldn't be the case.
Exactly. Lots of people seem to want to see the valhalla version of Ezio's family, and it would seem very weird to me if Jesper Kyd would repeat his work.
I think it would be cool to hear Einar Selvik’s godly voice with Sarah Schachner’s Viking take of Ezio’s theme, with Jesper to guide and ground it.
Yeah I’d have to agree. For too many years the games have relied on Ezio’s family in the soundtrack and in Odyssey it was literally the only consistent hint that it was actually an Assassins Creed game. This game has a lot riding on it. I’m sure it will at least provide a fantastic soundtrack.

One of my very few complaints about this game was the relative lack of time spent in Norway. That setting is one of the very best in the series. And it, of course, had by far the best synchro point music in the game.
As someone who has been a fan since day 1 of the very first game, im extremely excited for this game. Theres a lot of hate coming at these latest installments, and most from what I've seen lacks validity. Cant wait for this.

Wdym lacks validity. Most of the problems addressed are acknowledged with the weirdest replies. Like if someone says "Oh my god theres no assassins in Odyssey " And the most common response is " Just treat it as a separate part of the franchise or just pretend it isn't assassins creed" There are very real problems with assassins creed right now

As an Englishman who lives in a village that is 1100 years old, saw the real evolution of Saxon and Viking influences in the area of NW Ledecesterscire, I adore this OST.
My village lived through all of the real events portrayed in AC Valhalla. And my Nordic/Pict/Saxon DNA let's me know where I am from every time I hear these evocative scores.
If this is truly in his soundtrack, i'm just SHOCKED.. the master has returned with its masterpieces!
