How can I improve on this setup?
You don't get the audio from the audio mixer? What is the quality of audio you get from your main camera? I wanted to ask if you have audio and video sync issue, but you just use the audio from your main camera so it means that you don't have problems with video and audio sync, i think you can improve this by taking audio from the audio mixer.

The connection from the ATEM to your computer - you use the BM studio mini recorder ($200) - I'm curious to know if an ethernet-thunderbolt adapter (into the ATEM) be good enough to connect from the ATEM to the computer instead, be okay? I know this can be done to use the ATEM software control... but I'm wondering if you can still use that connection to work with OBS?

Hello Sir, thank you for the video, how to always be sure that my video will be sync to the audio, give me please your secret
Can you help point me to a video if you have one on how I might set up my android phone and laptop so that I can demonstrate crafts on you tube. But I also want to show my face in a little circle inside the video like I've seen in so many of these demonstrator videos. So ideally, i'd like to record on my android phone and show my face, then point the camera down to the table and put my face up in the right hand corner of the video screen. I'd like to see it on my laptop. I guess minimally, I'd like to do an intro with my face, and then face the camera down (without causing sea-sickness lol) and start recording the demo. I have an android phone, hp laptop, ring light with usb ports. hope you can help me know at least how to search for this as I've been spending lots of time looking for help on you tube with no luck.

If the monitor has an HDMI input, it will work.

I understand we must set the same resolution and frame rate as the setting in the atem.
The camera previews automatically show once you turn the tv on? Or is there software you use that lets you preview camera angles inside your tv?
The HDMI output from behind the unit shows all the camera previews automatically
Hi Adrian. I’m setting up live streaming for my church. Currently I’m using devicewell video switcher. My camera is far away from my switcher. How do I connect my camera to my video switcher? I don’t have a long hdmi to mini hdmi cable. Hopefully you can give an explanation.

Hi adrian lee, i would like to say thank for your tutorial, but my queation is, can we use usb cable to connect from the mixer for the pc, because i have no any thunderbold cable and no macbook, thanks for the answer.
You need some sort of capture device. For Macs (like in the video), Blackmagic makes a really nice SDI to Thunderbolt capture device. For my PC, I just bought a generic SDI to USB capture device from Amazon (there's plenty to choose from online). There's no way to directly go from the ATEM straight to your PC, you need a capture device.

I have 3 cameras connected to the switcher BMDesign Atem but one of them, the sony fdr ax53, only works with audio. I’ve set up the same (1080p 50fps) and i dont know how could be the problem.

Adrian Lee, I did like what you show me in this video especially using OBS software, my ATEM is working properly but the video is not showing on OBS from ATEM switcher, how should i solve this problem?
Dear sir thank your demo. I am working on the same set up but am not getting video image shown on the OBS. The set up I have is Canon Vixia R800 --> ATEM HD (set at 1080p59.94) --> Ultrastudio Mini Recorder (Video Capture Device - MiniRecorder ->preset -->High). At the same time Multi View HDMI Out of ATEM HD to external LCD does show video image of Vixia R800. Appreciate it if you can shed some light on what might be the issue.
There could be 2 possibilities. The blackmagic desktop video app setting and the OBS video capture device setting.
@@AdrianLeeYC Thank you for the message. The ATEM HD setting was 1080p59.94 and that is the only setting I got the output image at the external LCD. On the OBS, I clicked the Video Capture Device instead of directly clicking Blackmagic UltraStudio Mini Record - but if I clicked that instead, there will be drop-down menu for selection of resolution and frame rate; however, there was no 1080p59.94, it only has 1080i59.94 which was tried but didn't work. My interim conclusion was that the mini-recorder does not support 1080p59.94. I do not seem to be able to change the output resolution and frame rate of my R800 or more precisely, whatever resolution I changed for the recording at R800, the ATEM HD will only detect at 1080p59.94. Sorry it turns out to be so wordy. But this is the situation I am in and the way forward solution appears to be changing the video capture card that accept 1080p59.94.
Hi Kenny, I recently discovered that OBS will not show a signal coming in progressive frames (720P,1080P). It sort of only accepts interlaced (720i,1080i)

Hi Adrian Lee am facing some issues with my Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio HD as the screen i connect to the ATEM MulitVIEW pot is not showing and image but the ATEM LCD screen is showing image from a camera I connect to it.
Try connecting the multiview port to another HDMI monitor to see if it works. Coz mine works on most HDMI monitor and there is no setting for that.

Adrian I have a question. How many OUTPUTS can I have simultaneously?? I want 1 for monitors, 1 for computer live facebook and one for PROJECTOR big screen. I will be okay to have 3 output ski connected at the same time? Thank you
Erick Mondragon you may be able to set one of the SDI outputs as program out. If not, I would go with a SDI DA.
Hi, I am from India..I have heard that the BMD Hd studio pro has having a sync issue with multi cam recording ..Can u put some lights on my issue
Sync in what sense? Separate audio with video? You often have to add a very slight delay to audio so it syncs up. Which is especially the case with wireless transmissions.
Hello, I have a question, can I hook up a laptop using HDMI out or does the black magic only use cameras only, in other words I want to switch Betty a camera on me and a PowerPoint on a laptop, can it handle that
Ian Robertson yes you can connect a laptop through hdmi and switch back to your camera.

You may need to use the iPhone to HDMI adaptor.
