- I take you on a tour of my little corner of North-West England showing the trees in blossom and the plants that are in flower in early Spring. At the end I feature the flowers in My English Garden.
My English Garden is near the coast in North-West England, 1/3 of an acre (including the house) Zone 9a with sandy soil.

Hi, Paul T! I have to admit, I have an obsession with British shows that take place in villages 😂 This was such a treat for me. I loved every minute of it! Thanks so much for sharing! 💚
Aw, thank you Tanya. So pleased you enjoyed a look round my little area. 🌸
Thank you for this wonderful taste of Spring!
You’re welcome. 👍
Thank you for the enjoyable visit Paul, so beautiful 🌸
You’re very welcome Lil. 🌻
Wow beautiful daffodils Spring sprung love all the colors thank you very much for sharing 👍🙏❤️😊
I agree, the vibrant yellow colour of the daffodils really sets off Spring. 🌻👍
Absolutely beautiful Paul! Thank you for sharing this part of the world. When I look out my window there is nothing but piles of snow so sharing these pictures gives me a bit of hope.
I wonder if there is Spring preparing itself under your snow? So pleased you enjoyed the early Spring Jacqueline. 🌻
It's crazy how flowers bloom so early.
Yes it is - some of these plants can bloom when covered in snow.
You live in a really lovely area Paul. All those gorgeous colours. I hope our recent snowfall doesn't affect that beautiful Camellia.
Hi Wendy, as you say - since filming that on Tuesday there’s been a decent snowfall - luckily the camellia seems OK 👍
Hiya Paul, What a lovely village with so many gorgeous flowers thank you for sharing them with us.
Hi there Joanna, it was a pleasure to spend a morning enjoying the sunshine and taking a few videos. 🌻
Wow 💚, There are plenty of stunning flowers in your area, very fortunate 😍💐
Thank you Mr Sidhanta. Yes - it’s a lovely area and the Spring is gorgeous. 🌻
Спасибо за кусочек весны . У нас ещё очень много снега. Но уже скоро пригреет солнце и зацветут первые весенние цветы. Очень люблю весну.
I agree - Spring is such a special time of the year.
Согласна, Ольга - Весна такое особенное время года.
🤗🙋♂️THANKS PAUL WE VERY MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR AFTERNOON WALK THIS MORNING WITH COFFEE ☕️
We have most of the flowers, but not in as near a quantity 🤷♂️🙂…HOPE ALL IS WELL IN “ YOUR WORLD “ 🤗💚💚💚
Thank you - hope you enjoyed your coffee! Glad you have lots of Spring flowers. 🌸
@@paultsworld THANK YOU,I DID ENJOY THE COFFEE AND WE ENJOY OUR FLOWERS 💐 AND THE WINTER HERE HAS BEEN OVERALL MILD 🤗💚💚💚
A mild Winter will really bring your Spring forward. 👍🌻
@@paultsworld WE HOPE SO 👍💚💚💚
Really cool how you got that shot of the two squirrels playing and the dogs tail is moving in the background!
Gorgeous walk around Paul, Thank you!
I waited for the first squirrel and was delighted when a second one arrived during the shot. That dog's tail looks funny! Glad you enjoyed the walk Cindy.
What a wonderful way for me to start my day. You are way ahead of us in Northern Virginia, USA.
So glad you enjoyed my Springtime Christine. It’s still cold though! 🌻
Beautiful seeing all the gorgeous flowers you have in the UK and your garden.
All I’m seeing is snow, and another storm coming this week! Lord help me lol.
Awesome video, Paul.
🌹🌸💐🌺🌷🌻:)
Glad you liked the early Spring colour Sue - no doubt yours will be along soon. 🤞🌸
O my goodness!!!!! How lovely! I think spring is definitely one of my favorite seasons
Yes! Spring is full of promise and new life. 👍
That is a fantastic way to put it !
That was delightful! Thank you. ❤
Thank you so much.
This was a great video - and yes I reckon most of the bees will be visiting flowers in the early flowering cherry trees at the moment as in general the sunlight lasts for longer up there compared to the ground displays of crocuses and daffodils. Never seen bees visiting semi-double or single flowered camellias although I now have one such camellia just in case.
That's a good point - I do love to hear a cherry tree full of bees. I have found that wasps are attracted to the spent camellia blooms - I have to be careful when deadheading.
this was so peaceful and magical. thank you for showing us your beatiful english countryside.♥♥
Thank you Kristin, glad you enjoyed the video. 🌻
Hi Paul . Very beautiful tour with the most beautiful and amazing flowers in this village . Have anice day .

BNW. Your informative and pleasant narrative is a compliment to your video. I, also, appreciate original audio. Nature has its own orchestra. I almost feel as if I’m there visiting. Professional and well done! Thank you so much again.

How lovely! As I look at the snow coming down outside my window, I'm so happy to be able to watch this video - many times, in fact. You are quite the videographer and have given me hope that spring is just around the corner, despite all the snow here. Thank you so very much for your channel. 🌻
Good afternoon Colleen, would you believe I woke up on Thursday to 5 inches of snow! It’s raining today and all the snow will be gone in the next few hours.
Once your snow melts all your gardening work from last year will magically show itself. Thank you for enjoying my channel. 🌸
What a wonderful blessing. Brave little flowers. Thank you so much for a beautiful spring tour around your neighborhood and some beauties in your garden. God is so good to brighten our lives with all the wonders and beauty of His creation. So nice to have a video from you. Take care. Many, many blessings
Isn't Spring so joyful Sharon! Spring flowers have such vibrant lively colours. 🌻
Fabulous. My type of gardening. Love every inch❤❤❤
Thank you, that’s so nice of you to say so.
@@paultsworld from one gardener to another ❤️ I have My garden videos on my channel, but not as good as yours. I just use my phone for that. I live in the mountains of Virginia, USA. About a mile high above sea level. My garden and ochard is almost an acre. Can't wait for spring. It's almost here
@@wiserthanwise54 I have had a look at some of your videos - what a beautiful garden and home you have created! The quality of the phone footage is just fine - in fact I often use my phone as the stabilisation and colours are really good.
Thanks for the tour. It brightened my day 🌞
I am so pleased, thank you!
How much beauty !!!!!!!!❤
So kind of you. 🌸
Fantastic, it gives me hope of spring.🌸
Thank you - it’s amazing how it suddenly bursts into life. 🌻
Spring is here 😊
It was last week, then snow, now it’s here again 😀
@@paultsworld We had temps in the 70s, and even 80s, for over 2 weeks, so I thought 'well that's that' and put away my winter clothes and here it is in the 40s. Shows what I know haha
That’s ‘weather’ for you - keeps us on our toes.
@@Anna-BoBanna 🥵🥵🥵
Hi Paul! Loved the village tour. I am a bit surprised to see that we have many of the same flowers and trees in bloom here since your temps are warmer. The crocus have already bloomed and now the daffodils are putting on a beautiful display along with magnolias and ornamental cherries. We had several nights of well below freezing temps last week which turned most flowering trees brown. 😮 I have a small collection of primroses in my garden and they are ready to burst into bloom any day now - yours are gorgeous! I have hellebores, some violas (two of my favorites), and pansies in bloom as well, along with quite a number of wildflowers. Haven’t seen any quince in bloom yet, but I did find a new thornless, “everblooming” one online that I am definitely going to order! As always, I enjoy your videos very much. 💚
Hi J C, that is interesting you have the same flowers - they make the Spring colourful. An everblooming quince - and thornless - sounds ideal!
Glad you enjoy the videos. 🌻
Hi Paul! I'm grateful to you for the opportunity to admire the beautiful flowering 🌺
That’s so nice of you. Thank you. 🌻
It is unbelievable how "spring-like" everything looks over there! My little garden is still under a thin layer of snow in my little corner of mainland Europe. I hope my crocuses are going to survive the current cold spell intact. The camellia looks incredible! We can't grow them outdoors, of course.
All those flowers were under 5 inches of snow two days later and today they’re basking in 13c sunshine! They seem to cope OK - here the crocuses are fine in the snow but I know yours have to endure things a bit colder. My camellia lost a lot of buds with the -6 we had in December. First time it’s ever lost buds. It is a lovely colour.
@@paultsworld I have always loved camellias, since I read "La madame aux camelias" when I was a young girl, much too young for that sort of novel ;-)
You were well read even at a young age!
There’s a really large camellia in my front garden - deep red flowers.
@@paultsworld I was, indeed. I have probably read too many French authors for my own good ;-)
Beautiful video, thank you 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is absolutely delightful Paul - we are quite a way behind here in Leicestershire, but hopefully now this snowy patch has gone, we will catch up. Such beautiful colours in this video, but I think my favourite has to be the camellia 😊
It has been a bit of a ‘rocky’ Spring in Britain hasn’t it? Super warm today then back to some cold - hopefully that will be it then for Winter!
I am delighted that the camellia flowers withstood this week’s snow. However I lost lots of buds during the icy snap in December.
Gorgeous
👍🌻 thank you.
Мне нравится, что в вашем саду есть место и таким простым, но не меньше красивым растениям, как колокольчики, ромашки, пенстемоны,...
I agree the 'usual' or 'common' plants are just as beautiful and add to the garden.
Я согласен, что «обычные» или обычные растения так же прекрасны.
Спасибо за красоту, вы умеете её показать! 🥰😍
Thank you for enjoying the Spring beauty!
Спасибо, что наслаждаетесь весенней красотой!
Thank you so much 😀! Over here, north of NYC, we have had the weirdest winter. Only one storm with 5 inches of snow and most days since December (which was the only taste of winter we had) felt more like late April than January / February. It's nuts!!!! 🙄 And did you see what's going on in California? They stole our winter 🤨. No, seriously, I wonder what will happen to our flowers and, more importantly, crops with all this weather craziness! I'm sure the insects will go wild 😮💨. Thanks again 😄
I saw California’s weather - hadn’t realised you have had it mild this Winter. It does mess up nature a bit - our hedgehogs came out of hibernation last week in the lovely weather then two days ago we had thick snow.
It is so lovely to see all of the flowers in full bloom so early in the year! Here in NJ I have a few daffodils (the ones closest to the house, some hellebores (just bought a bunch more), and some primroses. No trees as yet, and all other flowers are still waiting for it to get warmer! Thank you for that glorious bit of color and sound :)
Glad you enjoyed the Spring - it’s like pent up energy - suddenly it’s just there.. 🌸
Hi Paul, lovely video as always. The bright colors were so welcome. Still cold here in Iowa but getting more signs of spring 😊 Am starting seeds and making plans to rejuvenate parts of my garden. Thanks for the 5 minutes of pleasure ❤️
Hi Vicki, nice to hear your Spring is showing signs. You’ll have to let me know about the changes in your garden this Summer. 🌸
Hi Paul, Love seeing the spring flowers.
I am digging things up whilst plants are still dormant and putting them in containers ready for my move in the summer. However, I am now sat here looking out at my garden and diciding that it is too cold to go out 😔. In the meantime, so I don't have a bear garden, I will sow some wild flower seeds. We had very little snow in Dorset, there is no trace of it now.
Hello Pauline, good idea to prepare the plants while dormant. I agree it is too cold to garden right now - but it will warm up early next week (for a short time!) Good luck with your move. 🌻
What a lovely little town, the church looked beautiful. And the Primrose, I'm on the hunt for more of those myself. The peek at your garden was wonderful, look forward to a spring tour. Where I'm at in the states spring is just about here, another few weeks I'll be planting the flowers I started from seeds these past 2 weeks. Hope your weekend is off to a good start.
Thank you Wende, you've obviously been busy looking after seedlings - it's so good when they can be planted out!
@@paultsworld
I've been really amazed at how fast some germinated. I had branching sunflowers & cosmos in 3 days, 2 days later tall enough I had to take the lid off. I use the big salad containers from the grocery, great little greenhouse, til I move them to the greenhouse to harden off. I just love this time of year ☺
Wow, you are very prolific - I’m super impressed and what a great way to start the gardening year.
did you lay on the ground to filmed the Helleborus😂
Nearly! 😀 I couldn’t see what was doing!
you should plant an olive tea tree! It's very fragrant
Good suggestion! I didn’t know about the Olive Tea - I’ve just googled it.
@@paultsworld it’s tea olive or Osmanthus heterophyllus.
Thank you - I got it the wrong way round!
🥰🥰🥰
Hi Dawn 🌻
I’m curious what happened with the blooms after the following snowfall.
That's an interesting point. The camellia blooms are fine - as if nothing happened - but the larger daffodils collapsed with the weight of snow but I notice they are starting to stand up again. The crocuses are generally OK.
Early march is still winter.
Where I live we normally say Winter is December, January & February. However we can get wintery weather right through till April.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
👍🌻
By the way. Your poppies are somniferum or opium, not oriental
Thank you for letting me know - that’s very helpful - I’ll google the difference between them.
