    I don’t think there is a more “giving” plant than a foxglove. Tiny little seeds but, dear me, they self seed so easily…and everywhere! It’s all so effortless. I like to let them flower wherever they self seed because they ensure that your garden is different every year! Every year a new surprise 🤗

    Paul, Thank you so much for making these for us. If you see this comment I have a question on your Foxglove. 2nd time I’ve watched this. Seems they grow right out in the open sun and anywhere they please. So I bought some! Will I be able to put them in full sun here in 7a Oklahoma? It will be early evening before they get shade. I do appreciate you!❤

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  Рік тому +1

      Hello Cindy, I am very pleased you enjoy my videos - it's very encouraging.
      I believe technically they're a woodland- glade type of plant, so probably prefer dappled sunshine or part shade. In England they will grow readily in full sun - particularly if they have enough water. Having said that I've seen them grow out of old walls!
      Your sun in Oklahoma is much hotter and stronger than ours so you'll have to see how they do.
      Is there any way they could be put on the shady side of shrubs? Once they flower they will then produce 1,000s of little seeds so you can shake them off into your hand and cast them wherever you like and see where they thrive.
      if you have bought a foxglove as a plant then it might well flower this year but they are biennial which means the seeds produce little plants one Summer/Autumn and the following Spring they shoot up and flower in early Summer - so it's a two year cycle. As you saw from my garden I am 'in' the cycle so have lots of little plants right now which will flower next year.
      Good luck, let me know what happens!

    Hi. Thanks for the tips and tour. I know in at least one past video you mentioned talking clematis cuttings. Is it OK to use plastic pots and do you cover them with a plastic bag or something like that?

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  Рік тому +1

      Hi Pauline, it is best to cover them to keep them humid. I find vermiculite a very good medium. A plastic pot would be OK. Soak the vermiculite- make sure there’s drainage, cover with a plastic bag and leave in a shaded area for a couple of weeks. You could take the bag off and spray a fine mist over it after a week - putting the plastic bag back on.
      Don’t water again as the vermiculite holds the moisture and you don’t want the cutting to rot.
      Take a number of cuttings in different pots to split the risk and increase chances. No direct sunshine at any time.

    こんにちはポールさん。
    冒頭で奥の木にぶら下がっている、2つのクラゲのような物は何ですか?
    とても素敵なので、同じ物が欲しいです。

      こんにちは。木からぶら下がっているドームは、リスが鳥の種に登るのを止めるためのものです。見た目を気に入っていただけて嬉しいです。これはアマゾン上のそれらへのリンクです。 🌻

    Don't worry, that's what I take pictures of, my flowers. But I can use the tips, especially don't jab.

    How many square meters is your garden?

    • @paultsworld
      @paultsworld  Рік тому +2

      Very good question. It’s about 60 x 21 meters. So I suppose that makes it 1,260 sq metres. That is the whole plot including the house.
