Awww you're religious? Thats cute; women generally tend to be more religious than men and research shows that when old men were given testosterone they became LESS religious, not more which would explain why. I know I would definitely choose a religious wife over a secular one even though I myself am not religious (and definitely a Christian so she doesn't go ahead and do something stupid like take my money and spend it on psychics and tarot cards 🤮)

Pfff, good fucken luck mates. The best I can expect of christians nowadays is to be agreeable pushovers. Most of y'all I've seen just look for ways to wash your hands of the shit done by people adhering to your religion, even though by adhering to it yourselves you support a power structure used by these assholes to hurt others. But that's not what you really care about. You just want people to stop ragging your beardo in the sky. You don't care about good, only about good optics for your team. I am beyond disillusioned by modern christians.

If you ever want to be saved, copy and paste what I'm gonna give you and save it for later on. I hope it helps.
HOW TO BE SAVED and other verses:
Repent, put faith in Jesus’ blood, put faith in the Gospel, call upon The Lord Jesus Christ and ask Him to save you:
      Acts 20:21
      Authorized (King James) Version
“testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.”
      2 Corinthians 7:9
"Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing." KJV.
      2 Corinthians 7:10
"For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death." KJV.
      Psalm 22:15-17
      Authorized (King James) Version
      “15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd;
      and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws;
and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.
16 For dogs have compassed me:
the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me:
they pierced my hands and my feet.
17 I may tell all my bones:
they look and stare upon me.”
      Isaiah 53:5
      Authorized (King James) Version
“5 But he was wounded for our transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
      the chastisement of our peace was upon him;
and with his stripes we are healed.”
Understand YOU ARE A SINNER and only The Lord Jesus Christ can save you:
      Romans 3:20-26
      Authorized (King James) Version
“20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.”
      Romans 3:10
"as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" KJV.
Put your faith in the Gospel:
      1 Corinthians 15:1-4
"Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" KJV
For added assurance of salvation, call upon the name of The Lord (The Lord Jesus Christ) for salvation:
      Romans 10:8-13
"But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." KJV.

The amazing thing about believing in Jesus is that it’s a completely free way to have a relationship with God!! As he said, when sin came onto the world it became clear that we were going to perish. We were in no place whatsoever to have relationships with God, and thus our lives were miserable and meaningless. That’s why God came down to earth, as Jesus! To REDEEM us!! Isn’t that just insane!? I think it is. Anyways 🤣 praying that you will get to know Gods love! Truly, even just on earth, it is the best thing ever (and I’m not saying some psychological made up factors… I’m saying the REAL love of God! If you read the Bible a bit you could check out what I mean by that. Check out the New Testament) 🙌 lots of love to you brother!

The only thing I would change is to add a quick explanation for the claim that the resurrection of Jesus proved He triumphed over death and evil. As a nonbeliever I wouldn’t know the connection between death and sin. But other than that, it seems easy to follow and covers the basics.

Honestly, i was always struggling with the concept of death in the bible, as it is seen as a punishment or a reward, differing from book to book. Especially the old testament confused me, as it never mentions hell OR heaven.
So was there simply no afterlife before Jesus, or did everybody just go to hell before he came...?

Humanity’s sins lead to exile. (exile from Garden, exile from Jerusalem, and exile from New Jerusalem (new kingdom). Paul says ““For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭23), which echoes “The wages of the righteous is life, The income of the wicked, punishment.” (Proverbs‬ ‭10‬:‭16).

@@pixbo9133 Jews and Christians believe that Adam and Eve brought death to humanity by disobeying God in Eden and eating from the forbidden tree because they were cast out of the garden in order to prevent them from eating from the Tree of Life (immortality).
There is some debate on if death occurred at all before they were cast out, or if plants and animals could die before this time but that was a non-sinful or natural kind of death (ie if animals were previously all vegan or not, and how long did creation really take/were there generations of plants and animals that died of natural causes before the fall) but Adam and Eve brought in evil death (murder, war, revenge, human sacrifice, etc) and animal death that humans needed to survive in the fallen world (ex food and clothing, and later even ritual sacrifices to God).
As far as the afterlife, pre-Jesus’s resurrection, the belief was that those who died went to a place called Sheol (aka Hades, the land of the dead) where they were divided into a good place (sometimes called Paradise or Abraham’s Bosom in the NT) or a bad place (also called Gehenna or Tartarus), with some kind of large gulf separating the two places so no one can cross over. The dead await final judgement by God (the NT says this will be Jesus’s job) who will decide if they will spend eternity in Heaven or be sent to Hell. Christians believe Jesus went to Sheol after his death and freed all the souls on the good side so they could go to Heaven, but that those on the bad side continue to wait there for the final judgment. That’s how we get to our current belief that the saved/righteous/good souls go to Heaven when they die but those who aren’t go to Hell. (But some Christians don’t believe the post-resurrection dead go to Heaven when they die, but that they are in some kind of sleep until the final judgement happens).
So when the NT says faith in Jesus frees us from sin it’s not just saying we can become better people who sin less, and that we are counted as forgiven for our sins because of Jesus’s sacrifice, but we are freed from the eternal death trap evil and sin lead to that will keep us forever separated from God.

@@pixbo9133heres a lot of definitions youre going to have to relearn, and also dont assume because you cant see something you're looking for in the Bible that it doesn't exist.
Death for example has two types, mortal death (our common understanding as death of the body) and spiritual death (being cut off from God after mortal death, the soul is not destroyed but exists apart and separate from God). Mortal death is not the end of the world because if we die in communion with Christ, we wont suffer spiritual death.
Heaven and hell are concepts that theologians have had to build up by the references available.
OT heaven - OT writers described heaven in different ways: being at God’s right hand (Psalm 16:11), dwelling in the house of the Lord (Psalm 23:6), being with God in glory (Psalm 73:24), a place of joy (Isaiah 26:19) and the enjoyment of everlasting life (Daniel 12:1-3), for example.
Hell - Few mentions in OT. In the Old Testament (Septuagint hades; Vulgate infernus) sheol is used quite in general to designate the kingdom of the dead, of the good (Genesis 37:35) as well as of the bad (Numbers 16:30). We have more than ample teaching in the New Testament to establish the doctrine of a literal, eternal hell (see Matthew 3:7, Matthew 3:12, Matthew 5:29-30, Matthew 18:9-12, Matthew 13:38-42, Matthew 13:49-50, Matthew 25:46, Mark 9:43-47, Luke 12:5, 2 Thessalonians 1:9, Jude 7, Revelation 14:11, Revelation 20:13-15, and Revelation 21:8). refer and hell are hell is a state and not exactly a 'place'. Without Christ everyone's soul in the OT (maybe except Elijah and Enoch who were taken directly to heaven) was cut off from God, nothing sinful can conjoin with God for He is pure and holy.
Before Christ, everyone's souls existed separate from God after mortal death. We don't know for sure what happened, that's why theologians came up with various explanations. For example, Catholic theology has traditionally taught that the righteous who came before Jesus were in the “limbo of the fathers,” a sort of spiritual waiting room where they remained until “in his human soul united to his divine person, the dead Christ went down to the realm of the dead. He opened heaven’s gates for the just who had gone before him,” says the Catechism of the Catholic Church in No. 637. 'Limbo' the theological term does not exist after Christ's covenant with us. There are other theories, this is just an example.
One other thing, the idea that Christ came to sacrifice himself (OT style to sate Gods wrath) is deficient. It is more accurate, complete and fitting with the nature of God (love, biblically defined) to say Jesus stepped in to rescue us, heal us and build a bridge between us and God. I'll expound on this more if you want. God bless you on your journey to Him.

how do we know who the true god is when theres no evidence for him outside of a bible that isnt even consistent on the values god supposedly has
the only evidence for god comes from logical fallacies and circular arguements
its called faith because there is no evidence
to have faith in something you cant prove is litterally living a life of delusion
every abrahamic religion claims there god is the real god because their scripture says so and because there god says their scripture is true
to claim there is a true god (and its what you believe) because your bible says the same things as other scriptures is not only arrogant but lucky and stupid
because you cant know that your religion is the one true religion if you have never willingly explored other religions AND lucky because you just so happened to be raised into the one that claims with no evidence that other religions are false
your idea of evidence for gods existance is literally the same as me writing
amber is the one true goddess on a peace of paper and having a friend claim to feel it resonating as true with them
to not only claim that atheism can lead to christianity by making a playlist that goes from point A to B is not only funny but dishonest because if you actually spent any time listening to atheists there would be no way in hell you would still be a christian or claim god is real
unless you were dishonest and a grifter

The Bible is not a firsthand account of real history, it is and was always a story book intended to teach moral lessons, exactly the same as all other religious texts and creation myths.

Hi! In my church we learned that the Trinity can be explained with a parable of a tree. Go look at a tree. It has roots, a trunk, and branches. All of these parts have different functions, but it’s still the same tree. We pray to the Father. The Son leads us to the Father. The Holy Spirit helps us.
Does that make sense? I’m sure it could be explained better at my church/Bible study group. It’s a channel here on UA-cam called “We Are Jesus Doers”. You’re more than welcome to check them out. It’s really helped me on my journey to follow Jesus Christ.

    • @duxandrespasha
      @duxandrespasha 10 місяців тому +1

@kullanici1959 All churches baptize. The distinction is between those with infant (baby) baptism as Catholics and Orthodox; and those with believer baptism, which requires a personal declaration of faith and so requires you coming of age. Amish require you to be 18 AFAIK. Most Evangelical denominations are a bit more lenient with age, but overall Evangelical denominations tend more to believer than to infant baptism. * this is a generalization * and many Evangelicals do baptize babies.
My advice would be to continue reading Scripture, find the churches in your location and see which follow it better. Then ask in them what the requirements are. Even an infant baptism church probably will want you to take basic Sunday school if you are new to Christianity.

" [And mention] when the angels said, “O Mary, indeed God gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to God ].
He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous. She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?" [The angel] said, "Such is God ; He creates what He wills.

He will teach him the Scripture and wisdom, the Torah and the Gospel, And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of God.(Quran 03:45-49)
"[The Day] when God will say, "O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, "This is not but obvious magic." Recently I’ve found myself getting more and more interested in Christianity and so have been asking questions, attending church and listening to pastors preach the gospel and it’s really empowering and always makes me wanna learn more. I feel like I have a better understanding of it and want to believe in Christianity but I’m finding it difficult to take that step partly because I don’t know what that step is. I keep being told that you need to believe in Jesus and that He died for our sins and except His forgiveness and his love those kind of things but I struggle to fully commit to that idea and I don’t know why, any suggestions? Thank you :)

That is awesome to hear! I was raised in a culturally Christian household, but started going to church in high school and came to a personal relationship with Christ then. A verse that comes to mind is “because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭) If you’re ready you can pray using similar words but if you also want to talk through it to someone at your church that you trust that might also be more helpful than a random comment on the Internet.

On the sight of sinless God, anything infected by sin should die (physically and spiritually) and perish. God warned Adam not to touch or eat the forbidden fruit because the consequence of doing it was death. (The forbidden tree was created for the sake of FREE WILL system; sure, God didn't want to create mindless puppets). The cunning snake (some Christians theorize that this snake was the Devil in disguise) tempted Eve to eat the forbidden fruit and said that eating the fruit was fine. She ate it, gave it to Adam, Adam ate it. Sin entered the world. The ideal world became a fallen world. Death is in the world. God spotted sin on Adam and Eve. God should've killed Adam and Eve instantly because God is holy and just and because of the warning He had told them. But God loved them so much. He didn't want them to perish. So, He spared them by killing a certain animal as a substitute. God did this to save what still could be saved of them: the soul. The body/flesh was allowed to degrade gradually as the physical consequence. Logically, man is far more valuable than animal. So, animal sacrifice to redeem man is never proper, because animal is not man. This is imbalance. Man should substitute man. But, all Adam's descendants have the seed of sin (the potential to sin). So, they couldn't redeem themselves. Only Holy God can redeem sinful man, but death demanded proper sacrifice/substitute: man sacrifice. God should play fair here. So, what did God have to do? Should God die? But God can't die because how come God can die? God isn't of flesh. God is an abstract/spiritual being. How? The Word/the second self of God came down to the world as a fully holy human being to become a final proper sacrifice. Jesus' flesh died, but his status/soul didn't, and he finally rose. By doing this, God has a reason not to let Adam and Eve die physically and spiritually instantly at the time and to give humanity chances to repent. The ideal world God created for man has become a fallen world. Anything fallen, including fallen man, will finally meet its destruction/eternal punishment. But, human's soul has a chance of avoiding this bleak fate. It's through the sacrifice of the Christ. This is how God is both just and forgiving. This is how God plays fair.
It was started by the sacrifice and ended by The Sacrifice. Humanity is actually wrapped in the sacrifice system, but sadly many people deny it/don't realize it.
I hope you understand. God bless.

I don't know what answer you would need to hear specifically but:
All I can say is, Christianity as shown in the bible and this video is a relationship with Jesus. That's what God made us for. To have a relationship with him and to share is goodness and joy with us but unfortunately, humans fell from the relationship, sinned and choose their own path which led to the corruption we see in today's world. Jesus came to restore the relationship and we just have to believe and confess our sins to Christ. Just as Acts 3:19 says," Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." Repent means to change ones mind. To turn away from sin and to God and his truth and direction for your life. To get a relationship with God again, our sins need to go. God can not accept sin seeing he is good and holy. Jesus death and belief in him cleanses sin so we can have the relationship we were meant to have with God. Salvation comes after one repent and accept Jesus Christ. All there's left to do is follow Jesus and his commandments if you really mean it. If you really love him. 'If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.
      Romans 10:9‭-‬10
I'm not going to say it's going to be easy if you have doubts but if you make your mind up, ask God for guidance to restore you into a relationship with Him and he will do it. God doesn't wish for anyone to perish. Just as it says 1 Timothy 2:3-4: "This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
Keep seeking him and I hope you find Him and peace in his truth. Read the bible, the new testament preferably and try to find out about Jesus yourself. Listen to good and biblical Christians as unfortunately there are false prophets which the bible warns about and their response to whatever hard questions you might get. Mike Winger and Impact videos ministry is someone I would recommend.

I'll use C.S Lewis and his good 'ol trilemma. According to the trilemma, every person must conclude that Jesus Christ was either a liar, lunatic, or Lord.
Thomas, you seem to have concluded that Christ is Lord, yet as you say, you struggle to commit to the idea of His Lordship. The reason for this, in my personal experience before accepting Him fully, has been because of both a fear of commitment to something greater than myself (in other words, what if He is a liar/lunatic/He IS Lord but I don't wanna serve), and a fear of missing out from all those things which kept me separate from Him (in other words, "harmless" sinning was "enjoyable" and I didn't want to stop).
The solution for me was to truly commit to serving Christ and toss aside my excuses masked as concerns. I realized it was better to live as a good vassal happily serving his king than as a remorseless felon pretending he was free (punctuated by quickly-repressed realizations that he was in a prison of his own making). I also had to realize that FOMO for sin is just capital-T Temptation, and in reality, I'm not missing out on anything worth having or experiencing. Sinning for "fun" wound up being a hollow existence that left me empty and resentful, and the sooner I realized it, the sooner I started learning to toss those thoughts and desires at Christ's feet rather than embracing them or trying to resist them all alone. I must for the sake of my conscience place the caveat that I am still a sinner, and my sanctification is very much a work in progress; Yet, thank God, I may place my faith in Him and rest from my burdens.
*TL;DR:* When push comes to shove, committing to anything requires faith. In a world where people can lie and deceive, you and I must willingly overcome our fears of being burned and make the leap of faith that Christ is Lord. We should not do this just for ourselves, but for the sake of those around us, even our enemies. To have faith and carry on as a beacon of genuine virtue, despite suffering and persecution, is the mark of a mature Christian and the goal of every one. To be truly selfless like Christ, overcoming our sins and selfishness through the grace of God and the good struggle, to love everyone including our enemies, is the true goal that may only be achieved by faith in Him.

It depends on what you mean by "baptism". When the Bible uses the term it can refer to one of two different things. The first is baptism of the Holy Spirit which is something that happens when someone is saved. The second is the tradition of dunking someone in water as they proclaim their faith in public, which is often called water baptism and its purpose is to symbolically represent baptism of the Holy Spirit. Some denominations fail to see the distinction between the two and so they think that water baptism is itself the the act which in reality it simply seeks to symbolically represent. This originally stems from Catholicism which does the same not only with baptism but also with communion, which is simply a symbolic representation of what Christ did on the cross to die for our sins. Just like how Catholics think that communion is what forgives your sins rather than it being a tradition that symbolically represents what Jesus did on the cross, they also think that water baptism is necessary for salvation rather than baptism of the Holy Spirit which water baptism seeks to symbolically represent.
As one Biblical example of someone who was saved without ever having going through water baptism, look no further than the thief on the cross who died next to Jesus. He didn't have a water baptism but he was saved by his faith in Jesus. To be clear, the Bible does say that we should do the tradition of water baptism, communion, etc. However, it doesn't say or imply that these things are necessary for salvation. It's not going to be the case that someone comes to have genuine faith in Christ but before they could go through water baptism they somehow die and then God tells them "Ge golly, bud. I know you put your faith in Me but that alone isn't enough for your salvation. You didn't do this work I required (water baptism, communion, insert tradition here) so off to hell you go."

In Catholic theology, there are two alternative forms of baptism that carry its effects without the form.
Early Christians were distraught over whether unbaptized martyrs were saved. However, since baptism symbolizes dying to self and rising to new life in Christ, and martyrdom is literally dying to self and rising to new life in Christ, there is no need for the symbol when you have undergone the reality.
Likewise, a reflection on the nature of God's mercy prompted the understanding of a "baptism of desire," so that people who wanted to get baptized, but died before they could - even if they just died of old age - would still enter the Kingdom of God.
Both of these are truly baptism by the Spirit, so yes, baptism is absolutely, 100% necessary. But baptism by water is not necessary. Baptism by water is just how people are usually baptized, and how Jesus commanded us to be baptized. This adequately explains the teaching in 1 Peter 3:21 that baptism saves, and also how Jesus could say to the thief on the cross, "today, you will be with me in paradise."
TL;DR Act as if it was necessary. Relax if someone died without a water baptism.

Great video overall. As I usually do though, a small nitpick. You put baptism, and by that you're referring to water baptism, on a list of things required to be a Christian. To be sure we are supposed to perform the tradition of water baptism just like we are to perform the tradition of communion, but just like how communion is a tradition that seeks to symbolically represent what Jesus did on the cross, water baptism is a symbolic representation to represent what the Holy Spirit does to us when we are saved. I'm going to copy and past the following from a different comment I made to someone else here in the comments.
"It depends on what you mean by "baptism". When the Bible uses the term it can refer to one of two different things. Jesus sacrificing Himself on the cross is what makes our salvation possible. Us willingly putting our faith in Jesus and His sacrifice for our sin is how God chooses to apply salvation. Traditions, good works, and other nice things are great and all, but they are not Jesus's sacrifice on the cross or our faith in Him, so they are not somehow involved in salvation.

Note: Sorry, I go on a bit of a long ramble, so not all of this may be a relevant reply to your comment. Just couldn't stop writing. 😅
I agree that water baptism and communion are not necessary to be saved and do not in themselves forgive sins. But please note that deathbed repentance is not the norm. Like Jesus, we are beings of body and spirit. Because of that, our physical actions are connected to the spiritual world (otherwise, why raise your hands in worship? Why kneel in repentance?). Water baptism and Communion are sacraments/ordinances because they are traditions that are physical actions connected to the posture of the spirit. They were given to Christians to practice so that, in a physical-connected-to-spiritual way, we would together grow closer to Jesus and to each other as the Church. They are part of the ongoing journey of repentance, but they are not what causes salvation.
Therefore, “We are saved, therefore we get water baptized and partake of Communion” is correct, whereas “We get water baptized and partake of Communion, therefore we are saved” is not.
Nevertheless, it is important to not separate the symbol from the sacred meaning it represents. The way we treat or present our symbols is directly related to how we regard their meaning. That's why two different Christians taking the same Communion or getting baptized in the same way would have far different experiences.
Example: A flag is a symbol of a country. There are times and places in history where people would literally die before they would let their countries’ flags get taken or burned down. In flag ceremonies, flagbearers wear gloves when handling their nations’ flags and treat it with respect. Yet the irreverent burn their own nations' flags ("It's just a piece of cloth. People who died for it are stupid.").
Comparison: Communion is a remembrance and symbol of the most important event in all history and the infinitely priceless body and blood of the Savior and King of the universe. Yet some treat it as a routine practice of eating and drinking a monthly Christian hors d'oeuvre, while others realize that they are literally not worthy to even touch the symbol of the most precious One in the universe, and so they renew their repentance (as we should, on a daily basis), and grow closer to the God who makes them worthy. Think of it this way: if it was Just a tradition, why would it matter whether or not we take Communion in a worthy or unworthy manner? Who is the only one to tell whether we are or are not worthy?
Tl;dr The sacraments/ordinances do not save, but they are expected of those who are saved and have the ability to practice them. They are also part of the ongoing journey of repentance. Also, they aren't just physical actions unless you treat them as only that. Even so, Communion definitely is more than just a physical tradition, or worthiness/unworthiness wouldn't matter much. But since it does matter, there is more to it.

@@Mylstrydr I'm going to be honest; I only skimmed over a bit of what you wrote. I think we pretty much agree. My position is that these symbolic traditions are not necessary for salvation, but it's still something we are pretty much compelled to do. Basically, unless there's some really good reason why you aren't or haven't done these things then you should be doing them. I compare it to a marriage in the sense that usually when people get married they have a wedding. It's strange to have a married couple that never had a wedding. Not having a wedding is strange for a marriage, but it doesn't invalidate the marriage. Just as a wedding isn't the marriage itself, neither is communion Jesus's sacrifice on the cross nor is water baptism what the Holy Spirit does to us when we are saved. All of that being said, the symbolic traditions themselves are, in it of themselves, still important and should be done.

I had to scroll way too far to find someone who finally pointed this out haha. I mean even going to church isn't a must do to be a Christian. If you're going to be listing what you NEED to be a Christian it would have been nice to distinguish those as now a lot of people may think you need to go to church and get intimidated by that. Which is a real problem. Aside from that it was a great video.

Adam was not mentioned so no one watching this learns ANYTHING about sin, and therefore cannot rightly know Christ. Worst of all, (and this is not the only other fault, but this is enough to be o condemn the video) when mentioning "how to become a Christian" he gives a list of things to do. The first principle of Christianity is that we are totally depraved, and therefore how can we do any of those things? Christ did not die for everyone, but for his elect, which the video did not distinguish. This is nothing more than the carnal evangelicalism that is taught across the world of ignorant and wretched fools known as "America." But it isn't exclusive to America either.

Because my family doesn’t accept my religion and they won’t let me get baptised (I’m 14) but I love God and I have so much faith in him. If you've put your trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation then you are a Christian. It's not ideal for baptism to be delayed for a long time but in your circumstances that's nothing to worry about. An analogy would be King Charles's coronation. Was Charles the king before his coronation ceremony? Yes, he was king the moment his mother Queen Elizabeth died, but the coronation to formally declare him as king occurred many months later. I'm praying that you will be strengthened and encouraged in your faith and that you will have the opportunity for baptism in God's good timing.
