Interesting fact about Naya: When she started to play Santana, she was supposed to be a secondary character, but people liked her so much she became a main one. Since the moment she did, they planned her to be gay in the show, becoming one of the first LGBT main characters in TV. Naya was really excited about this because she was bi ❤️
She never explicitly said she was bi. The only mention I ever found of her possibly being bisexual was a joke she made while on The View. She’s never said she was, and she’s only dated men before. While I’m not saying bi women cannot date men and be bi, I’m just saying. We can’t really speculate on something nor do I think it’s really appropriate to speculate on her sexuality after her passing.
@@harnessmadeofhopes "In January 2015, during an appearance as a guest host on The View, Rivera suggested "that she might be bisexual". In the episode, Rosie O'Donnell remarked on a study showing that bisexual women were more likely to have mental health problems than lesbians, to which Rivera replied: "Rosie, no wonder I'm crazy." Like, either she was bisexual, or she made a joke in real bad taste. Personally, I believe it's better to believe her at her word that she was bisexual. Also, I could be wrong, but I feel like your strong desire to shut down someone suggesting she was bisexual comes from a place of biphobia in yourself also, so maybe you should ask yourself why you believe it to be a problem that people believe she was bi after she literally made a joke about herself likely being bi.
I know, I literally said she made that joke while on The View, but I don’t really see how that was a large coming out moment, or any sort of confirmation that she was indeed bi. If it was a bad taste joke, then cool, that sucks for her to say that. She’s made one mention of liking women and being bisexual over the course of her whole public career, and suddenly that slaps her on with a new label? You understand how kind of ridiculous jumping to that conclusion can be, right? I mean, come on. Plenty of straight actors have made jokes about being gay, plenty of gay actors have made jokes about being straight. It doesn’t mean either automatically come out as the other. And no, this does not come from a place of biphobia. Love whoever the hell you want, as long as they’re a consenting adult. If you like both genders, cool, I don’t care, go ahead. I’m not so quick to shut it down because of possible biphobia, I’m so quick to shut it down because I feel speculation is kind of disrespectful. I wouldn’t want someone after my passing to say, ah, he’s a trans man, but he once made a detransitioning joke, so we’re going to bury him as a female.

100000000%!! Please review ANYTHING that Mercedes sings. She's MAGNIFICENT. River Deep, Mountain High duet is awesome - and really, that episode would be a great one to react to.
Valerie season 2 Borderline/open your heart to me I can't fight this feeling anymore How will I know I look to you Please if you can react to these they will NOT dissapoint you love
I will make a list with a couple of the best ones "britney britanny" - season two, episode 2 "duets"- season two, episode 4 "blame it on the alcohol" - season two, episode 14 "rumors" - season two, episode 19 "michael" - season three, episode 11 (this one!!!) "saturday night glee-ver"- season three, episode 16 (my personal favorite!!) "dance with somebody" - season three, episode 17 "the role you were born to play"- season four, episode 5 "glease" - season four, episode 6 (amazing) "diva"- season four, episode 13 "100"- season five episode 12
The Quarterback was the episode where they found out about Finns passing, right? Naya also sings a beautiful version of the song "If I die young" there.
Opinions agree to disagree. Not saying she's not a good singer. Problem w/ Broadway is there are those that standout on their own, & many want to get the parts those standouts created so they sound almost exactly like the original. How many emulate Whitney on the voice competition shows? Don't get me wrong Lea sounds amazing, only technically who does she sound like? Little like Menzel, Celine & Streisand? Yeah. Naya I can hear the distinction in her voice it's her unique voice.
Was always done with Rachel. Her awful character aside, yes that girl could sing but I don't think for a second she was even close to being the best. At the most she was just as good as some of the other strong singers like Mercedes and Santana, but for some reason the show centres around her being the best and it's complete BS. 🤷🏻♀️
My opinion only, there are always elements in every 'group'. Mean girls/spoiled brats are favorites because parents have money/influence, have history w/ someone, pretty & used to getting their own way or something. Grew up with HS choir, drama & symphonic band. There were 'favorites' not quite sure at times why because weren't that good & there were those stars just sprinkled around them. I remember 'a' drama teacher who was a lesbian who had a huge infatuation with this one girl (surprised her parents & school didn't realize this). All the leads were given to her & some musical numbers when performed in public. She wasn't that great with a weak voice. It got to point people started dropping out of drama club from the favoritism. Ended up moved away to college, got job & married living down south. Teacher? Retired after many left the club & guess was rejected by girl. Some were very gifted & didn't have 'attitudes' while others, were insufferable. Ones without went on to their form of stardom (Broadway, cruises, Vegas even TV/movies). Glee's case look at Grant Gustin, Melissa Benoist, Amber Riley for examples. Ones with? Got burned from rejection & came back home with tails between legs or, never made it past local community shows where they were 'the' stars. Lea Michele is talented but hadn't been able get past Glee. Doing Broadway is hard to do, but there are some that can't easily do other avenues. The HS cheerleaders ALWAYS wearing their outfits (not really true only on game day). Football players ALWAYS wearing their football shirts (only on game day) (No basketball, soccer or baseball players) Cheerleaders being the top ranked sport? They never were seen competing against other schools or going to competitions even practicing. Saw Coach Sue in her office never with any assistants or anywhere they practiced. Choir? This is a glee club, where's the full fledge choir? Band? Invisible with professional mad skills. Never anyone selected for regionals or state only glee club. An exaggerated view/distortion of Jr & SH from a rearview mirror perspective. That I think is what made Glee, glee.
For performances: “Smooth Criminal” which is a duet with Naya, “Heads will roll/ thriller” which is a mashup with the entire cast “Pretty/ Unpretty” also a mashup duet with Lea Michele and Diana Agron For episodes: Vatimin D, the Quarterback, and On My Way (which will also make you cry)
Yes that Grant Gustin, Naya Rivera "Smooth Criminal" duet was such a thrill, the chemistry was amazing. "Heads Will Roll/Thriller" was a really great ensemble number!
Naya's death is such a tragedy, she was such a talented artist 😭 I'm glad videos like this exist though, so her son can see how incredible his mother was 💔
Amber Riley’s “have a little tenderness”...seriously mic drop moment. Love Naya’s “back to black” version as well and Quinns version of “this is a mans world”.
Naya makes this song a little more "pop sounding" as you say, but she still kept the Broadway aspect of that song. When I first heard her sing this, I was just like "Rachel/Lea who?" Naya just does this so effortlessly, it's crazy.. She is a talent that's definitely missed
Songs of Glee that you should react to: • Valerie (Santana) - episode 9 season 2 • River Deep Mountain High (Santana and Mercedes) - episode 4 season 2 • Give your heart a break (Rachel and Brody) - episode 4 season 4 • My cup (Brittany) - episode 22 season 2 (I swear this is the funniest song ever) • I lived (all cast) - episode 13 season 6 (this is one of the last songs of glee, and it's SO sad!!) • Home (all cast) - episode 2 season 6 • Don't stop bealivin' (new directions) - episode 100 of the show • La Isla Bonita (Santana and the Spanish teacher) - episode: the Spanish teacher • America (Santana) - episode 13 season 3 •Stereo Hearts (Sam, Joe, Quinn, and Mercedes) - episode 13 season 3 • All by myself (Sunshine) - episode 17 season 2 • Toxic (new directions) - episode 2 season 2 • Me against the music (Brittany and Santana) - episode 2 season 2 • Born this way (new directions) - episode 18 season 2 • Mine (Santana) - episode 4 season 4 • If I die young (Santana) - episode 3 season 5, the quarterback (this song makes me cry in a way... It's because Naya and Cory died, so it's the saddest song ever!!!) • Smooth Criminal (Sebastian and Santana) I don't remember the episode •And I am telling you I'm not going (Mercedes) •Roumor has it/someone like you (the trouble tones) •Black to back (santana) •Toxic (unholy trinity) - season 5 •Survivor/I will survive (troubletones) - season 3 episode 8 •Santa Baby (Santana) - deleted scene Yeah, I think is this... One of the best songs of glee
100% the Rumour Has It/Someone Like Me mashup. Best thing they ever did. The moment they transition into the second song... if you don't issue a vocal "hot damn" there may be something wrong with you.
I know someone who legitimately stopped watching the show after the "rumor has it/someone like you" mash up because she said "this is the best thing this show has ever done and will ever do. There's no point in continuing to watch. It'll never be this good again" lol.
Love seeing her falling in love with Naya You definitely have to see her “im a survivor/ i will survive” glee version and “smooth criminal” glee version
I think you should watch “duets” from season two because you’ll get a lot of different performers singing in that episode, people you haven’t heard yet. You should also watch “born this way” from season two, “special education” from season two, “vitamin D” from season one, “The Rocky horror glee show”season two, “never been kissed” from season two, “Michael” from season three and lastly, “the new Rachel” from season four.
I cared so much more about the side characters of Glee especially Santana and Mercedes. Rachel was never my favorite but Naya and Amber pushed the development of their characters so much and were such amazing singers. Naya said in her book that through her whole run in glee, she never dropped one line and her dedication is so clear in every one of her scenes.
Yeah I learned the song after hearing it on the show, and it still gets me every time. If you haven't heard the Matthew Schulyer version from The Voice, you need to treat yourself to that.
The Britney/ Brittany ep is ICONIC!! ("Slave 4 you", "Me Against The Music") anything with Mercedes she's a powerhouse and "Valerie" also "Candyman" has great harmonies
Imagine how the rest of the season would have turned out if Rachel didn't wind up being a salty little matzo about Santana auditioning for the U N D E R S T U D Y. She was so damn PRESSED about it to the point where it was difficult to watch the rest of that season because of it!
@Ronda21 I’m talking about a character not a person. I’m saying that it’s ridiculous that Rachel the character was being difficult to Santana the character about the funny girl thing then quits funny girl for that’s so Rachel why you got beef with me
@Ronda21 what? No, no, just NO. The actor behind the character just does and says what the script tell them to. And the script and the plot and everything that goes along with it is written by the writers of the show, not the actors themselves. So, I'm terribly sorry, but I really don't get your point here. If you have the opinion that by judging what a character of a show does and says and behaves like you judge the person/people behind it, thats fine with me, I guess. But please, if you do so, then judge the people who actually have something to do with this, aka the writers in this case, and don't judge random actors who just do their job and don't have a say in this situation. Thank you very much and have a nice day.
The best numbers are: Mercedes (Amber Riley) And I Am Telling You, I'm not Going. Mr. Schu (Matthew Morrison) & Kristin Chenoweth One Less Bell/A House Is Not A Home MASHUP. Matthew Morrison & Neil Patrick Harris - Dream On. By far, these are the most amazing numbers ever on the show. They are on my playlist. As a director of musicals and plays, this is always on my entering the theater playlist.
If you really enjoyed Naya rivera's voice I HIGHLY recommend watching the episode in which her and Amber riley sing River Deep Mountain High! THEY GO HEEELLLA HIGH in that number!
I suggested that when she posted the Flash reaction video but I don't think she saw it. Is there a hashtag or something to use so she sees suggestions I wonder?
i think you would really like; “surviver/i will survive” from the episode “hold on to sixteen”, “valerie” from the episode “100”, “rumor has it/someone like you” from the episode “mash off”, and/or “hand in my pocket/i feel the earth move” from the episode “jagged little tapestry” (can u tell i’m a big santana fan? and brittany too ofc)
Valerie is 100% my fave song of Glee. N Santana has always been my favorite glee character. I was so sad when Naya died. Even more sad for her family that lost her. Her son most of all.
Naya’s death hit me harder than most people. She was definitely my favorite on Glee, all her co stars always spoke so highly of her. Seeing you react to my favorite performance of hers on the show literally brought me to tears. 🥺❤️ she was amazing! On a side note, I recommend you reacting, or watching an episode where she sings smooth criminal! But also literally any episode would be fine, she was amazing in all of them!
the entrance and the interaction with that guy were a nod to rachel’s performance. she’s reinterpreting the whole thing and still making her own and that’s how santana does it
You can also react in Naya's cover in Glee "Smooth Criminal" or "If i die young" or "There are worst things i could do" or "Back to Black" or "Valerie" or "Girl on fire" etc.
What to know about Rachel Barry: She always, ALWAYS has to be the star of the show. And yes, Santana (Naya) was trying to piss Rachel off. Rachel didn't know she was entering or "wanted" to enter.
Britney/Brittany is a fantastic episode! Also Naya singing Taylor Swift’s Mine is amazing. Also The Break Up episode. And my regular cry for the musical episode of Buffy Once More, With Feeling!!!
Naya’s voice was really my favorite after hearing her do “Valerie.” A shame I only saw her do this song after hearing news of her passing. So very talented.
Also Amber Riley (she played Mercedes). She’s incredible. Mercedes and Santana did several duets - river deep mountain high and that Lauren hill song I can’t remember the name of. That thing?
@@MadYunie00 Same. Not to mention, I get that Rachel was a petty brat a lot. However, anybody would have felt the way Rachel felt here. This is my thing; why are you here up in my spot? I don't know anybody that would have welcomed competition. Be honest.
Naya was always my favourite. Her "Songbird" will never be not making me bawl my eyes out. It's pure love. Her rendition of "Rain on my parade" is so brilliant and impressive because it is unique, modern and she added some fun twists. And then there is her duet with Grant - "Smooth criminal". Just ❤️!
With all the scandal about Lea Michele being entitled and thinking she was the best and the drama between her and Naya, Lea probably wasn't acting on this episode LMAO
though before Naya passed. Maybe 2 or 3 years ago the two of them made up and when Lea told Naya she was pregnant Naya was very exited and happy for her. She was very supportive towards Lea and helped her through her pregnancy. Though I don’t agree with what Lea has done i do admit that’s quite nice
definitely should react to “Ain’t no way” on glee , it’s sung by Amber Riley. it is SOO underrated and SOO good !!!! and if that’s too short of a video “You make me feel like a natural women” is also AMAZING too.
I'm glad you got around to hearing Naya's voice. She was a powerhouse! You can type in Naya's name and listen to ANY vocal she did and you'll hear her mastery
I would say that the best episodes to react to out of context would be the tribute or tribute type episodes. they have the most songs song by a variety of people and the plot is easy to follow if you haven't seen the show. Season 1 has the power of madonna, theatricality, and journey to regionals. season 2 Brittany/Brittney, rocky horror, born this way, and rumors. Season 3 the first time (west side story), Michael, Dance with Somebody, Saturday night gleever. Season 4 Glease, boys and girls on film, guilty pleasures, wonder-ful. Season 5 the first 3 episodes are all tributes, moving out, bash, and opening night. Season 6 jagged little tapestry, a wedding, and dreams come true (series fanale). Songs I would love you to do: Rose's turn, Like a prayer, Bohemian Rhapsody, Bad Romance, one less bell to answer, river deep mountain high, somewhere only we know, Valery, How will i know, shake it out, thriller, Home/Homeward bound. Any Mercedes, Santana, or Kurt solos
Miss Hannah - One of the things I found quite impressive is Naya's breath control, especially "Hey Mr Arnstein, here I am, I'll march my band out" - the whole phrase sung in full belt without taking a breath between "am" and "I'll" like most singers do. Very impressive, which also tells me that she's had some excellent voice teachers. If only she'd worn a life jacket. . .
My favourites episodes/songs I really recommend you watching: Choke (Season Three, not sure what episode number) Includes songs such as ‘Shake It Out’, ‘Cell Block Tango’ and more! It’s really sad but I just love this episode! You should also react to ‘Smooth Criminal’ by Naya Rivera and Grant Gustin and ‘Bad’, by the Glee Cast in the episode Michael, in season three some time! Also, you should definitely react to ‘Color-Blind’ by Amber Riley/ Mercedes Jones (not sure what season 🤣) Some songs by Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson) I recommend are ‘Cough Syrup’, ‘Somebody that I used to Know’ (featuring Matt Bomer) and ‘All of me’. Also another really great mashup on Glee that I definitely recommend is ‘Rumour Has it/ Someone Like You’ (Mainly sung by Amber Riley and Naya Rivera), this is one of my favourite songs on the whole of glee! ‘Forget You’ by Gwenyth Paltrow is also great as well (Season Two- Episode: The Substitute) ‘The Scientist’ by the glee cast is so amazing! ‘Empire State of mind’ by the glee cast is also great! I’ll be sure to recommend more if I think of any! Thank you so much if you sit and read my long comment, I really enjoy watching your videos, have a nice day/night! Edit: Just thought of some more- ‘Summer Nights’ (mainly by Amber Riley and Chord Overstreet) Also ‘There Are Worse Things I Could Do’ Another some: Turning Tables, Boogie Shoes, I know Where I’ve Been, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Valerie, If I Were A Boy!
RIP Naya Rivera, you were truly such a beautiful and talented singer who was just beginning to blossom into your singing career! Life is utterly tragic and cruel sometimes, but you will always be remembered by me, you were 100% my favorite singer/character in Glee, and I am saddened that we wont ever hear your new and creative spins on songs.
I've played the Rachel and Naya versions simultaneously and Naya's version is a lower scale. That being said with the exception of a few personal flourishes their pacing and timing is identical.
her voice hits different now that she's gone, It's still so beautifully strong and awe inspiring but it hurts my heart knowing that brilliant voice and the amazing person is gone forever. We miss you Naya Xx
I was never into Glee but i knew about her character in the show and even for me, despite not caring about the show at all still tear up when i hear her voice, Naya was and always will be a huge inspiration for me
Naya was so so so special and it warms my heart to see people still appreciating and enjoying her performances. It used to hurt too much to watch videos like this, Naya helped me through one of the darkest and most confusing times of my life whilst I was questioning my sexuality. Santana Lopez is the character that really helped me to get to the point of accepting myself when all I wanted to do was pretend to be somebody I'm not. Losing her was an unimaginable loss for so many people and I'll probably grieve that forever- just because if it wasn't for her, who knows how long I would've been in that dark lonely closet, hating myself and letting my brain go to the darkest of places. I'm glad that even though she's no longer with us, her voice and her talent can still be appreciated and marvelled over because she truly was spectacular.
This is a big one too! They talked about how the vocals and reactions were live. Lea could t stay in character because of how impressed she was and Amber Riley was terrified, she initially started off as Mercedes still getting over her own stage fright
She was an amazing person, an amazing mother, and an amazing talent. A light was taken from our world the day she passed, and she will always be missed. May she rest in peace.
YESSS she needs to listen to never can say goodbye!!! that's my favourite performance by quinn! they seem to always put her on unfitting songs but they fucking DID IT with never can say goodbye!!!
EARLY YAY also it’s a shame she died, she was so talented and seemed like an amazing person, thanks for reacting to more of glee, and as always great video

@@nikkiej.5875 I know, she was literally written based on how rude and Diva-ish Lea behaved in her audition. Surprisingly Rachel is actually a nicer person than Lea based on what I've heard.
God, she was so amazing. Listening to her now singing “If I die young” makes me cry
I can't listen to "If I Die Young" at all. Not Naya's version. Not even the original by The Band Perry. Just thinking about it leaves me a sobbing wreck.
I can’t listen to that song anymore. Means too much now.
@@sparklemotion101ni3 absolutely. i feel the same way about the adele song that rachel berry sang on that tribute to finn episode. that episode left me in such a wreck. still does to this day.
That’s on the quarterback
Have you heard her sing Alfie? You'll love it... ☺
I would recommend “Duets.” Lots of singing and Amber Riley and Naya Rivera MURDER River Deep, Mountain High. 12/10 would recommend
YES!
YESSS
100000000%!! Please review ANYTHING that Mercedes sings. She's MAGNIFICENT. River Deep, Mountain High duet is awesome - and really, that episode would be a great one to react to.
I really hope she does that one it’s amazing
It also has Chris Colfer's version of Le Jazz Hot, so well worth a watch/listen.
Please check out the Mercedes and Santana duets.. literally anyone.. soooo good
yes, all of them are amazing
yeesssss they're the best duet partnersss
Yes i agree i love Mercedes and Santanna’s duets !!
If I had to choose a specific one for her to react to, it'd be River Deep, Mountain High
yes !!
“Valerie” was the first song that really showcased Naya Rivera’s chops as a soloist. :)
Still my favorite song of Naya’s!
Her first solo on glee ever was science fiction double feature look it up if you haven't seen it
Yes please do Valerie!
Valerie season 2
Borderline/open your heart to me
I can't fight this feeling anymore
How will I know
I look to you
Please if you can react to these they will NOT dissapoint you love
Yesss
I love what you said about the opts up and modernizing; it very much gave it the vibe that Santana was saying "girl I'm coming for you"
I will make a list with a couple of the best ones
"britney britanny" - season two, episode 2
"duets"- season two, episode 4
"blame it on the alcohol" - season two, episode 14
"rumors" - season two, episode 19
"michael" - season three, episode 11 (this one!!!)
"saturday night glee-ver"- season three, episode 16 (my personal favorite!!)
"dance with somebody" - season three, episode 17
"the role you were born to play"- season four, episode 5
"glease" - season four, episode 6 (amazing)
"diva"- season four, episode 13
"100"- season five episode 12
totally with you on all of those episodes!
I... I don't see any Paradise by the Dashboard Light on here. Defo Corey's top performance.
Definitely all of these plus Nationals from season 3
You forgot Cold Hearted
@@AlcmeneUndertaker those are episodes tho, which episode did Cold Hearted show up in?
You should totally check out “Smooth Criminal” and “River Deep/Mountain High”!!
Edit: also “Nutbush City Limits”, one of Naya’s best Glee performances
Yeah I was going to comment about nutbush city limits
30 / 5000
“Smooth Criminal” it's amazing
Would definitely agree with Smooth Criminal. One of my favorite Grant Gustin performances
She already did smooth criminal
AGREED!
The Quarterback was the episode where they found out about Finns passing, right? Naya also sings a beautiful version of the song "If I die young" there.
I think she'd cry at that, I did!
Anytime I hear that song now I cry.
I really can handle listening that song again... It's the only song i was listening when she passed... At least she is with Cory...
I forgot about HOW GOOD this rendition was! And this was 1000% the moment I was like "Okay, I'm done with Rachel now"
yeah but aren´t we all?^¨;)
Rachel sang it much better though.
Football players ALWAYS wearing their football shirts (only on game day) (No basketball, soccer or baseball players)
Cheerleaders being the top ranked sport? They never were seen competing against other schools or going to competitions even practicing. Saw Coach Sue in her office never with any assistants or anywhere they practiced.
Choir? This is a glee club, where's the full fledge choir?
Band? Invisible with professional mad skills.
Never anyone selected for regionals or state only glee club.
An exaggerated view/distortion of Jr & SH from a rearview mirror perspective. That I think is what made Glee, glee.
For performances: “Smooth Criminal” which is a duet with Naya,
“Heads will roll/ thriller” which is a mashup with the entire cast
“Pretty/ Unpretty” also a mashup duet with Lea Michele and Diana Agron
For episodes: Vatimin D, the Quarterback, and On My Way (which will also make you cry)
Yes that Grant Gustin, Naya Rivera "Smooth Criminal" duet was such a thrill, the chemistry was amazing. "Heads Will Roll/Thriller" was a really great ensemble number!
Naya's death is such a tragedy, she was such a talented artist 😭 I'm glad videos like this exist though, so her son can see how incredible his mother was 💔
iknow, her 1 year anniversary is coming up😭
I never thought of that. It makes me so happy knowing there is always a way to look back & remember her through her performances 😭
Amber Riley’s “have a little tenderness”...seriously mic drop moment. Love Naya’s “back to black” version as well and Quinns version of “this is a mans world”.
OMG Quinn's version i need that videoo, hope she does it
Oh and wide awake and shake it out
and Amber Riley, Darren Criss, and Melissa benoist- superstition
Amber Riley and Kevin Mchale- At last
She stages it this way because she's replicating Rachel's rendition from sectionals when she entered that way and used those mannerisms.
Ooh, Naya singing Valerie is my absolute favorite rendition of hers ever.
agree!
i prefer her version to the original ngl
Absolutely!
Plus River deep mountain high with Amber.. 🤩 And songbird.. She had wonderful voice 😪
And then the one of the 100th episode
We really lost a talent in Naya, May she rest in peace knowing her son is safe. She’s gonna be watching down with Cory.
You need to check out "Gloria", it's Lea Michele + Naya Rivera + Adam Lambert, just amazing
Lovvvvve this one!
Great one!
Yesss! It’s so incredible
Naya makes this song a little more "pop sounding" as you say, but she still kept the Broadway aspect of that song. When I first heard her sing this, I was just like "Rachel/Lea who?" Naya just does this so effortlessly, it's crazy.. She is a talent that's definitely missed
That angel was the true star of the show such an incredible vocalist.
May she rest in peace.
Yes definitely!! She was a Queen!
Her fangirling over Santana is cutest thing ever haha
another edition of hannah bi panicking for almost 10 minutes

100% the Rumour Has It/Someone Like Me mashup. Best thing they ever did. The moment they transition into the second song... if you don't issue a vocal "hot damn" there may be something wrong with you.
I know someone who legitimately stopped watching the show after the "rumor has it/someone like you" mash up because she said "this is the best thing this show has ever done and will ever do. There's no point in continuing to watch. It'll never be this good again" lol.
@@thornlings For that statement alone, Naya Rivera & Amber Riley deserve a standing ovation!
I LOVE this mashup, it is absolutely amazing

i agree! very good suggestion!
I had scrolled to see if someone suggested this and here you are. Hell to the yes.

You definitely have to see her “im a survivor/ i will survive” glee version and “smooth criminal” glee version
Santanna was SOOO UNDERRATED in Glee. Her performances were ALWAYS amazing
No. She was treated well, even though she was a terrible person

"If I die young"
"At last"
"Teenage dream"
"Make you feel my love"
"Landslide"
"Human nature"
"Getting married today"
It’s way too hard to watch her sing “If I Die Young” now. 😭
HUMAN NATURE YES ITS UNDERRATED
Smooth criminal is one of the best songs on the show
I would love to hear her reaction to Getting married today lol
She should react to a full compilation of people singing Getting Married Today, they're a riot.
I am so sad that Naya is no longer with us. Such a talent. Imagine what more she would have accomplished if she had been with us longer?!
I litterally miss Naya so bad but listening to her voice will always be such a wonderful gift. 😭 she'll live on forever istg

RIP Woderful Naya
I cared so much more about the side characters of Glee especially Santana and Mercedes. Rachel was never my favorite but Naya and Amber pushed the development of their characters so much and were such amazing singers. Naya said in her book that through her whole run in glee, she never dropped one line and her dedication is so clear in every one of her scenes.
Blaine singing ‘cough syrup’ who doesn’t love Darren Criss?!
I don’t!

Absolutely amazing. Gives me chills every time he is so talented and that song/scene is so sad. Love Darren also #klaine
This performance aways makes me cry
Which was especially dumb because she HAS to have an understudy, so surely one who lives with her, who she can keep a close eye on, is a good option?
Ik a specially since she literally QUITS THE SHOW A FEW EPISODES LATER
@Ronda21 guys shut up and stop arguing lol

MOST ICONIC PERFORMANCE !!! SOlidifed the fact that THEY WERE the moment and the best of Glee

Valerie is 100% my fave song of Glee. N Santana has always been my favorite glee character. I was so sad when Naya died. Even more sad for her family that lost her. Her son most of all.
The fact that she was mostly in awe the whole time instead of picking things is a great thing, showing how good Naya was
it's so sad that Naya isn't with us anymore. but you, Hannah did an amazing *again*! I love your commentary, it made my day 💕

paradise by the dashboard light is simply the greatest glee performance and i need to go watch it right now
Naya’s death hit me harder than most people.
If I die young hits too close to home :(
Landslide is awesome too.
Valkyrie?

What to know about Rachel Barry: She always, ALWAYS has to be the star of the show. And yes, Santana (Naya) was trying to piss Rachel off. Rachel didn't know she was entering or "wanted" to enter.
Naya was truly an amazing singer/actor/mother/person. She's singing in heaven.

That thing?

She was ridiculously talented. RIP Naya :'(
Her performance is imitating the one Rachel did the first year at Sectionals (the entrance and the walk till the stage I mean )

Well, but Rachel doesn't have the same "sexy" effect.
@@rahbeeuh pointless comparing them. Different voices, different styles, different approaches to the song
She was such an amazing vocalist RIP Naya
I'm glad you got around to hearing Naya's voice. She was a powerhouse! You can type in Naya's name and listen to ANY vocal she did and you'll hear her mastery
Can you do a NAYA RIVERA BEST GLEE VOCALS video? She has so many, she always brought a unique vocal run or choice and it elevated every song

Any Mercedes, Santana, or Kurt solos

i agree as much as she chnages the song slightly i love her version so much more
Well, that makes little sense cause Hannah said that she would sing the song like Lea and that she made all the smart choices.
Lea's versions is OBJECTIVELY better. Remember this is supposed to be a Broadway song. Naya turned into a basic pop song and sang it on a lower key.
The fact that Naya was only supposed to be cheerleader number 1 still gets me to this day
Wait what?!? Your joking right?
@@yxng3gzinn045 nope. Same with Heather. Heather was cast as a background dancer. They just ended up to be too funny to not include
they were really gonna WASTE Naya's incredible singing & acting skills huh 😩
I absolutely adore the way Naya places her hands when she's singing higher notes. I miss her :(
I think “Duets” has really great songs with good variety of who sings them and maybe “Rocky Horror Glee Show” or “Mash-off”?
Miss Hannah - One of the things I found quite impressive is Naya's breath control, especially "Hey Mr Arnstein, here I am, I'll march my band out" - the whole phrase sung in full belt without taking a breath between "am" and "I'll" like most singers do. Very impressive, which also tells me that she's had some excellent voice teachers. If only she'd worn a life jacket. . .
My favourites episodes/songs I really recommend you watching:
Choke (Season Three, not sure what episode number) Includes songs such as ‘Shake It Out’, ‘Cell Block Tango’ and more! It’s really sad but I just love this episode!
You should also react to ‘Smooth Criminal’ by Naya Rivera and Grant Gustin and ‘Bad’, by the Glee Cast in the episode Michael, in season three some time!
Also, you should definitely react to ‘Color-Blind’ by Amber Riley/ Mercedes Jones (not sure what season 🤣)
Some songs by Darren Criss (Blaine Anderson) I recommend are ‘Cough Syrup’, ‘Somebody that I used to Know’ (featuring Matt Bomer) and ‘All of me’.
Also another really great mashup on Glee that I definitely recommend is ‘Rumour Has it/ Someone Like You’ (Mainly sung by Amber Riley and Naya Rivera), this is one of my favourite songs on the whole of glee!
‘Forget You’ by Gwenyth Paltrow is also great as well (Season Two- Episode: The Substitute)
‘The Scientist’ by the glee cast is so amazing!
‘Empire State of mind’ by the glee cast is also great!

Naya, gave her life to save her son. She was a beautiful talent. Her audio book Sorry not Sorry is amazing.
We miss you Naya Rivera! Thank you for sharing her beautiful works with us. :")

Did I watch this with the biggest smile on my face? Yes. Did I also cry at the end thinking about Naya and her son? Also yes.
Very heartbreaking, a loss of a very talented woman. We will never forget ♥️
Amber Riley singing "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going" always gives me chills
This is a big one too! They talked about how the vocals and reactions were live. Lea could t stay in character because of how impressed she was and Amber Riley was terrified, she initially started off as Mercedes still getting over her own stage fright
Yed
and her duet with Chord Overstreet Human Nature. Mercedes and Sam were such as cute couple...
She was an amazing person, an amazing mother, and an amazing talent. A light was taken from our world the day she passed, and she will always be missed. May she rest in peace.
Definitely "smooth criminal" and something with dianna because she has such a beautiful voice but she is so underrated
OK YES SMOOTH CRIMINAL! That whole Michael Jackson episode is 🔥
YESSS she needs to listen to never can say goodbye!!! that's my favourite performance by quinn! they seem to always put her on unfitting songs but they fucking DID IT with never can say goodbye!!!
I couldn’t believe I forgot.... but “MICHEAL” hands down the best songs are in this episode
EARLY YAY also it’s a shame she died, she was so talented and seemed like an amazing person, thanks for reacting to more of glee, and as always great video
The quarterback. DEFINITELY. Naya, Heather and Gwyneth Paltrow singing Landslide. Naya singing Cold Hearted. Naya and Lea singing Brave. Glee mash-up of Fly/I believe I can fly.
Pretty sure she's never watched glee. Quarterback's literally the last episode you should even consider watching if you've not watched everything prior
