I think what makes Lillias such a standout for so many is the fact that she took the song and adapted it confidently to fit her voice and strengths. She had the skills and she used them to her utmost potential which made her version so great:)
Naya's vocal arrangements and rendition was the best. Everyone else was pretty much sticking too much to the basis and weren't willing to take risks, landing to become one note, literally and figuratively. But what a gem Naya was. 😩 😫 We lost her way too soon

On a side note, as a Filipino, it's a very tiny detail, but I'm relieved to see a video using Jake Zyrus' real name instead of his dead name. Most people in our home country, including members of his own family refuse to acknowledge his gender identity despite him being relatively open about his struggles with dysphoria. As a queer person myself, it was disheartening to see people like me aren't welcome here no matter how useful or talented we were. I could only imagine how much worse it was for him. His voice dropped when he started taking t and everyone around me kept saying he wasted and threw away his talent. None of them ever realized his mental wellbeing and personal happiness is more important than being able to listen to him singing with a feminine voice ever was and will be.

Barbara's voice is strong even until now. Watching her old clips was a revelation and an answer as to why the greatest singers like mariah, Celine etc. held her in high regards. Her vibrato was describe like a Sonar, vibrating strong to soft to strong and soft and can go on and on and on. She was the BELTER.
Each individual made the song their own with that those end vocals. All superb and a huge Bravo! To them. Also everyone check out Linda Eder singing the song. Incredible also.

The high note was originally a C5 if you listen to the original Broadway cast album with Barbra before the movie version - the entire song was up a half step in the key of Bb instead of A!

The high note was originally a C5 if you listen to the original Broadway cast album with Barbra before the movie version - the entire song was up a half step in the key of Bb instead of A!

@@Caprizonica a lot of this versions are different from Barbra's version. Even Lea Michele's version is different. Majority just have the musical theater sound but if u compare it to the original, it's different.
